Killebrew and Mazeroski had some garbage batting averages for the HOF.  I'd bet they're on there.

Maz 6th at -147

Killebrew 2nd -349

Need #7, though he’s more known for game 6 than 7

I literally just found this thread as I only come to the site once or twice a day.

I don't want to de-rail it, but if ANYONE on this thread has never been to the HoF, I highly recommend it.

I had been there once with my wife back in 2001, but my dad, who loves baseball just as much as I do, had never been.

So, I surprised him back last summer with a surprise weekend trip. Everyone (my wife, my mom, my sister) knew but him.

As everyone that is on this thread is obviously enthralled with the game, my favorite quote I have ever seen about baseball was in the hall.

Here's a picture...I would post a picture of us there, but my dad is like Ron Swanson, doesn't want his picture/information "out on the internet".

I swear that picture was right side up in my phone...

Good post. The vast time I spent sorting all my baseball cards of HOFers and my trivia inspired this thread. It’s doing well helping us pass some time and reliving memories.

I think Lenny Harris is the all-time leader in this...non pitchers. Jesse Orosco wins if including pitchers

Question 47:

This non-HOF player spent his entire career after 1980.  He has one MVP and one Silver Slugger, both won in the same year.  He was never given a single MVP vote in any year other than the one in which he won it.

The year he did win, he didn't lead his team in batting average or on-base percentage, though his numbers were impressive.  In no other year of his career did he hit over 30 HR, knock in over 100 RBI, or post an batting average over .305.

I think I know this from making my top-5 HOF from 1980-present list.

Ill hold off and guess in a bit if no one else guesses who I think.

He's non-HOF, just for the record.  Got 0.4% of the vote in his one ballot appearance.
