I think Albert Belle ended with 382-386 career HR....didn’t play that long. I’m guessing he might be the one not in the HOF
Gary Carter I think short of that 380 number hmmmm

Gonna guess guys under 500 but ones I’m thinking of struck out a ton and Yaz played for 23 years so not him.

posted by Ironman92Sheffield JUST went over I think. Pujols likely over. Frank Thomas seems a decent guess
Frank's a good guess, but he's in the 1300s.
Sheffield was barely 1100 or something, which was one of the lowest of the bunch to be over it.
posted by Ironman92I like this question...the 380 has to be a hint.
Yes it is. The guy with fewer HRs didn't make the Hall.

His count is in the 1300s.
Probably all those games he didn't miss.

You've got the no-Hall guy. Albert bell finished with 381 HR and only 961 SOs.

Yep! Vladi-Daddy finished with 449 homers and only 985 SO.

He was SUPER close. Finished with 1020 SOs.

Yeah, while his career finished after 1970, I wouldn't have phrase the question that way with his career where it was.

Retired just in time for your question
Vlad was such a boss. Probably my favorite non-Red of all-time.
Question #39
This team of the early 80’s had 5 future HOFers making up a big part of their team....they lost in the World Series to a team with 2 HOFers....name the teams and 7 HOFers....early 80’s.
Extra credit....one of these HOFers was injured late in the season and could’ve changed the WS outcome
Dodgers Yankees, I'd reckon.

Of my lifetime, probably mine too. Hit for power and average, hardly ever struck out, didn't wear batting gloves, and practically bathed his bat and helmet in pine tar.

I'm guessing the '81 series, Dodgers over Yankees. I couldn't name all the HOFers, though.
Brewers lost one in the 80s with Molitor and Yount.
Actually 8 HOFers if you count the winning teams manager

That’s 2 of the 5 on that team
Pretty sure they played the Cardinals.
Ozzie
Whitey Herzog was the manager?
