In theory this sounds about right, but the Browns had the 5th toughest schedule in the NFL this year despite finishing 0-16 last year. The league is too unpredictable season to season.
Edit: I won't QQ if they lose and help their draft position, but rather see them win and build on something going into next season.
The order of finish will determine who we play from AFC South and AFC west. The south are all about even, so I don't think that matters. In the west, there is a big drop off after the top 2.
With that said, I still hope we win out and up 4-1-1 in the division. I hate to help out Pittsburgh, but it would be sweet to knock Baltimore out of a playoff spot.
Man it sure is nice to be playing meaningful games in December. The last three years they weren't even playing meaningful games in October.

I have no idea if Burfict is healthy or hurt or suspended but if he plays next week they should definitely bench Mayfield.

posted by GOONx19Yeah, I didn't understand why the spot wasn't at least moved closer to the line to gain. They didn't have to give him a first down, but the replay clearly showed the spot on the field was wrong.
Also, Peppers has been a liability more often than not, but tonight he played great. Good team win, all around. It's nice going into Sunday without any pressure so you can just root hard against the Steelers and the Ravens.
We must be watching a different Peppers this season, because “liability” is far from the first thing I would think about his play this season. He has turned it around and has looked every bit worth that 25th overall pick. It’s amazing what happens when you actually play him in position. His PFF grade keeps going up too.

While the Browns might well trip over themselves — they always do — everything is in place. The franchise passer. Difference-making young talent. Flexibility. Cleveland has more than $80 million in salary cap room and a league-high 11 picks in the 2019 draft.
This feels like a franchise ready to take off, and it’s why I’d caution against being swept up by Gregg Williams. Yes, the interim coach — and offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens — has done a good job, and he looks like Vince Lombardi next to Hue Jackson. Williams has more wins in his last five games (four) than Jackson had in 40. He deserves an interview.
But let’s not get carried away. Williams is also the guy in charge of the league’s 30th-ranked defense and went 17-31 as coach of the Bills from 2001 to 2003, his only previous experience in the big seat.
The Browns will have options. There is no need to settle.

Since the Browns play them in two weeks, I thought I'd bring up my quick thoughts on the Ravens. Teams are going to figure out, at some point, that the Rats can't throw the ball. Lamar Jackson will either hand it off or run it himself. Someone's going to get a clean hit on him and it's RGIII Part 2. His throwing delivery reminds me of Vince Young/Uncle Rico.

I've been getting push back from a Bills fan who thinks that Allen is going to be "elite" and pass Baker as the better career QB. Allen's completion % is still atrocious but he makes up for it with his legs. That throw he had against Miami was horrid. Wounded duck that fluttered to the end zone and should've been an easy TD but fell short. I keep going back to Bernie Kosar's comment about "you can't fix accuracy."

Myles Garrett & Denzel Ward named to the Pro Bowl
Six other Browns were named alternates: OL Joel Bitonio (first), RB Nick Chubb (second), P Britton Colquitt (second), WR Jarvis Landry (third), QB Baker Mayfield (fourth) and OL Kevin Zeitler (fourth).
Bitonio will end up making it I think. Felt he should’ve made it regardless.

My son had a concussion back in 7th grade playing junior high football (got knocked down ,head hit ground hard). Didn't get knocked out at the time, wasn't tired, wasn't nauseous, just had a headache. So as the doctor called it, a "mild concussion".
He didn't pass protocol for 5 weeks. Some of those smaller "mild" concussions take awhile to pass all the tests while sometimes severe "knocked out" concussions can be cleared in days. Just depends on each "brain" and how fast it heals.
Dre Kirkpatrick said the best thing Baker does is "talk" and then complmented him a little, but then said "he's short so he's not going to make the best throws in the pocket."
Has this guy watched any film this year?
