Not missing Hue at all....
Not missing Hue at all....
Call plays that fit your personnel and use your personnel (Duke and Chubb for example) what a concept.
Hue and Haley were beyond awful.
posted by SportsAndLadyYou're probably the worst person on here. Said we were going to lose by 13+ points before the game. After the double digit win, you point out how our LT was abysmal and how you wish the offense did more in the 2nd half. You're probably the most miserable person IRL to be around.
lol calm down lil guy. Browns won ok?
Real time footage of S&L reading a post by me: https://streamable.com/qc85x
I’m calm and happy. You are posting about the offense in the second half of a blowout win. Derp!

Hey buddy, I can tell you're upset. Do you want to talk about?
Looks like John harbough and the ravens will be parting ways after the season. I know most of you want a young innovative coach, but harbaugh would be number 1 for me.
posted by SportsAndLadyLol, Saquon has twice as many yards as Chubb has. Yall are funny
Up until 4 games ago, Chubb had 16 carries for 173 yards. Since then, he's had 78 for 409. Had he been the week one starter he would probably have 800-900 yards rushing (his pace, if you do the numbers, was actually 1014 but I was conservative). I'd also project at least 150 -200 yards receiving during that time so his numbers, compared to Barkley's would be a wash.
I guess what we've been saying, in short, is that your draft capital is better spent not using it on a top 5 running back when you can get similar production later in the draft (see Hunt, Kamara, etc).
I'd rather have Baker Mayfield & Chubb than Barkley and one of these other crap bag QB's that were taken after Baker.
And that's no slight on Barkley as a player, as he's very good, but the Browns can get similar production from Chubb.

I'd pass. I know he's had a mediocre QB but he should've done more with that defense behind him.
posted by SportsAndLadyYou guys are obsessed with bashing Saquon.
He's really good. Chubb is really good. We're all happy with our picks.
pretty much sums it up right here

This. I am looking at the 18' draft now and if I am the Giants there are plenty of rookies I would rather have at this point over a RB at #2.

Gettleman shit down his leg with that pick, imo. What's the Giants biggest issue right now? A broken down, washed up QB.
I'm not sure, in hindsight, that I'd want Darnold, Rosen or Allen but they need QB worse than anything right now and they passed. I'm not looking at the 2019 QB's, because the Browns now have their guy, but is there a QB in this coming draft worth a top 5 pick?

And the QB outlook in 2019 draft is pretty ugly unless Herbert comes out. And even then it's only him.
So you have a new shiny rb that will be wasted this year and beat up next year.

Him and Haskins are the top 2 QB prospects. And both would have gone after Rosen in last yr's draft. Giants fucked up big time.

I'm not a big Haskins guy. But you're right, and actually they both might stay in school, which would make the class even worse.
I just can't imagine what would possess a GM like Gettleman, who's considered pretty solid, to take a RB that high knowing they need a QB and knowing the coming class (2019) is weak. He went full on Sashi with that pick, kicking the can down the road on a QB.
LOL...
“I mean, he’s a d— … when you have to play him,” Garrett matter-of-factly adds with a grin. “Even in practice, sometimes, I wanna chop him in the throat. He talks smack to everybody.”
Oh, I’m not saying the giants made the right pick. They should have went Darnold 100%
but when you compare two players statistically, at least add all the fucking stats together for them both. That’s all I was saying. That, and a lot of people on here are obsessed with Saquon

I am not declaring Chubb to be better (yet), but I think there is an actual debate right now and going forward if Chubb keeps it up. That alone makes picking a RB with the 2nd pick the wrong pick. You know this site by now. The "never draft a RB in the first round" argument is always going to be brought up from time to time lol.
The struggling Jags could have used another player in last year's draft over Fournette at this point.
And all I was saying about Chubb is that if he had been playing from week 1, I think his numbers eclipse (or at least match) Barkley's. Now granted, Barkley is playing on a worse team. Doesn't mean I think Barkley's a shitty players (he's actually a very good one). Just means I think you can get similar production from a later pick and use the higher pick on something else.

Agreed. I'm sure S&L will blow his top over this bc he's currently wearing an "I <3 Barkley" t-shirt, but I think Chubb is the better RB. Barkley might be the better offensive weapon, but pure RB I think it's chubb.

Yep, nailed it right on the head. Not a difficult concept.

EGO
Honestly, I blame the owner. Gettleman was fired from a successful franchise, that's not an accident.

#Browns let their offensive-minded head coach and their offensive coordinator go. They elevate their defensive coordinator to the top job. Since then, they’ve upped their PPG (21.1 to 24.5), rush yards/game (+49.1) and pass yards/game - and cut their sacks/game from 4.1 to 1.0.

Oh please. I’m not a Barkley guy. I even said on here when he was drafted that they fucked up with that pick.
But you said on here that he sucks. Posters on here act like he’s terrible. He’s really, really good. And playing behind a bad O-line and in a bad offense.
The pick was bad, but Saquon is not.
