Agreed. That's the unknown. But it is pretty cool to be watching this guy's career live.

Seems good...Mickey Mantle with 21st century way and health practices....longevity
I say he gets by 1700 runs pretty good, closer to 2000

Great comparison with Mantle. Had that guy not gotten hurt and taken care of himself, he'd have been off the chart.
Feeling happy that my nephew has a signed Mike Trout ROY ball. Was cheaper than Aaron Judge a few years ago.
Also, Joe Kelly is a madman and I love him. "Welcome to planet earth. A debacle." - The perfect quote for 2020.
Cards have 53 games in 44 days lol. I hope it’s successful because my ideal season has a scheduled DH each week and 144 games. That eliminates an entire month+ of the season, which the sport needs.

The Tatis thing from last night is so fucking dumb. His own manager criticized him for it.
I’ve seen 7 run leads in baseball disappear before. Fucking hit away

I agree. If you don't like him doing it, don't give up runs so easily. A terrible "unwritten" rule.
I had to go search for what happened.
Agreed with above, never let up.
Yeah, that was so stupid. Both the concept of that stupid unwritten rule (as opposed to all the other stupid unwritten rules) and the fact he was made to apologize. Because when you have a sport that's been struggling to maintain interest in younger generations, you HAVE to cut the nuts off super-talented young guys to make sure they don't get too popular. The part where the other team cried was pathetic -- the part where guys on his team like his bitch manager backed up the other team is so stupid it goes around to be comical and then back around to stupid, much like if CC posting was a baseball event.
Agree, the Tatis thing is dumb. Hit away.
Reminds me of another unwritten rule I don’t like, getting bent out of shape when the batter bunts during a no hit bid. Bunt away.
I don’t understand not hitting. If the Rangers get bases loaded in the 9th down 10-3 and have a 3-0 count I doubt anyone is made if they hit a grand slam...but, the game is already over right? So you can’t swing 3-0!!!
Plus, don’t these players get a bunch of bonuses if they hit certain metrics/shoals? Think if he gets a million dollar bonus at 15 HRs, but finishes the season at 14 because he didn’t swing on a 3-0 count because his team was up too much??
At the very least, a hit, HR, and 4 RBI’s extra on the stat sheet will go a long way on his next contract.
Pretty stupid to ask players not to better their own team and themselves just because your team is already up 7 runs. Like that should mean anything
Totally agree with all of the above. Don’t pitch a 3-0 meatball.
Tatis' manager didn't do him any favors by publicly blaming the guy for ignoring his "take" sign. A good manager should have kept that in the clubhouse. What about the fact that the opposing pitcher is throwing at one of your best guys because he's but hurt that his fellow pitchers can't keep the ball in the yard.
Once in awhile, baseball could use a good hockey enforcer in the dugout. When a pitcher pulls a move like this, the guy runs up the stairs, throws the gloves down and then gets it sorted out. How's that for an unwritten rule?
What’s Golden is that Manager Chis Woodward who cried about it hit 1 grand slam in his career....it came in the 9th inning with his team already up 10-4

Wow! The irony.
Fun fact: up 6-0, Tatis stole 3rd against the dude who threw behind Machado after his grand slam. I approve!
San Diego sets a MLB record with a grand slam in 4 straight games. Hosmer got one tonight.
A week ago the Rangers cried because Tatis hit a HR on a 3-0 count....fast forward to now the Padres have won 7 in a row and Rangers have lost 8 in a row

Tatis murdered their spirits. Yikes.
You guys see Joe West ejected Mike Rizzo (nationals GM) for not wearing a mask during the game today? Rizzo was all by himself way up in one of the suites. How the hell anyone even spotted him up there or cared he wasn’t wearing a mask is ridiculous. And, Joe West is walking around the infield with his mask under his fucking nose.
