I can count zero times this season that the Reds lost because they left their starter in too long and gave up the big hit when it mattered most.....this is at least the 10th time he bring in the pen for that moment and they blew it.

3-2 in the 7th with 2 outs...Castillo still hitting 98 and Jason Heyward bounces one off home for a lucky hit. Next guy up...Castillo struck out last AB....

Bell removes him for biceps man and next batter gets a hit and Kris Bryant 3 run HR

Ball game.  Quit taking out studs for “might be” studs.

Fuck that loss hurt

Castillo should pitch til he can’t. No reason, IMO, to ever take him out.

Disco sucks. Aquino with another HR. Votto with a clutch RBI in the 9th.

But the Reds lose.

Bell sucks with yet another double switch that bites back and House sending Votto in the first was beyond asinine ....gave pitcher a break he needed

Reds lose 17-7. Woof.

I think that pretty much wraps this season up.

That's a pretty awesome feat. Does he regularly play field positions (not familiar with the Reds) or was this a situation where they moved him from pitcher to position so he could retake the mound later?

Hello Reds fans.

My son has tickets for the Reds game Friday night, so we are driving down from the Mansfield area. The last time I went to a Reds home game it was still Riverfront Stadium. I have no idea where to park, places near the stadium to eat, etc.

Any ideas, recommendations, words of advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

For parking, is convenience or price more important? Plenty of parking right around, or even in, the ballpark. The only downside there is waiting to leave when the game is over. We usually park a little ways away and walk.

Food wise, the Moerlein Lager House is right next to the stadium and is pretty good. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there. Galla Park is also across the street and it's very good.

I park just past the Montgomery inn where Kellogg Avenue and Pete Rose Way switch over. It’s a $5 lot right under the Rt50 bridge. 6-7 min walk and easy to get out of.

Didn't realize he had hit another HR the other night, but Eugenio Suarez now holds the MLB record for HRs in a season by a Venezuelan-born player with 48. Topped Andres Galarraga's 47 from 1996. He is also tied for the most HRs by an NL 3B in a season with Schmidt and Beltre.
