Yeah, I would not be surprised if Rickie has a calm air about him this week and maybe finds a way to get it done.

DJ should be in the mix obviously; will be interesting to see how Tiger does.   Adam Scott is going with a local caddie; that could help.  I like Grace and Stenson also.

Pool is pick one from each of the 6 tiers (tiers based on world rankings); 4 of 6 must make cut ......went with:

First entry: Fowler, Stenson, Kuchar, Oosthuizen, Schwartzel, Scott

Second entry:  Day, Fleetwood, Simpson, Grace, Smith, Woods

Shinnecock Hills is taking its toll early --- Rory, Speith, Phil, Day and Bubba are a combined 20 over par, not even halfway thru.

Good pick!!!!!!

In even more hilarious news, some dumb fuck had a +22 round. I hope they took him out back and shot him after that.

I looked at his line for the day. He parred the first hole. And then bogey'd or multi-bogey'd the next nine or so. That's the sort of day, where at the turn, you just go to the clubhouse and start drinking heavily and refuse to come out until you're so wasted you just don't care what happens anymore.

The PGA and USGA need to encourage this.  Golf would get many more viewers and it would be hilarious to see "purists" like CC cry about it.

So far Shinnicock Hills is winning. Most of the big names are struggling.

Kid is a good golfer; British amateur champion two years ago.  The golf course is a bear; wind must be blowing.

Just watched Sergio on 14 from 180 hit one of the highest shots I’ve ever seen, landed 25 ft short of hole and still rolled 30 ft by and off the green.

I can’t.

Tiger will never ever win again as long as I’m watching.

Tiger was+4 after two holes and seemed to have leveled out but he double bogied the 13th and is +6 now. He is still having putting problems. He 4 putted the 13th.

So what’s going to win it? Do they take it easy on them some Saturday and see some negative scores? As is I think about +3 would win it over 4 days.

I’ll guess tomorrow is similar but slightly better scoring, Saturday best day and Sunday similar to Friday

-2 wins it but I not 4 players better than +1

Johnson, Rose, Oosthuizen and Sergio

Lol it wasn’t cut. But I do wonder if I’d keep it around a hundred. I think the distance is what would eat any of us up, 7400 yards is disgusting especially in wind. Would be a lot of hybrids and fairway woods

You wouldn't. The best golfers in the fucking world just struggled to break 80. The length...how about the greens. I would be surprised if anyone on here didnt 3-putt every green.

I'm an average golfer (shoot in the 90s) and I would shoot a 165 on that course.
