It is true, and he's a fucking idiot.

IF?!?  As in, you still potentially have doubt?

I saw some of it.  Not this particular comment, but pretty clearly Trump is one of those people who needs to be heard and tries to sound smart, but the words just come out without much thought or coherence.

The hard-leftists must be losing their shit because their little hardwired brains don't allow them to agree with Trump, but they do!

He did the same dog-n-pony show with the DACA thing.  Probably decided the optics made him look good.  But, ummm, still waiting on an Immigration deal.

Problem is, despite the apparent transparency....Trump and all the other people in that room will say one thing, and then go back on it and not be held accountable.  Nothing but a mental masturbation session to make people feel like the issue is being addressed.

Curious if he had permission to be armed on school grounds. I'm not sure what Georgia's laws are on that subject.

Dems keep referring to the AR-15 as a "weapon of war"...

Maybe we should take a poll of military vets if they would have wanted to go into battle with the AR-15?

The M4 and M16 are full automatic weapon with the ablility to change to a semi-atuomatic as required. The AR-15 was a built for civil usage as a semi-automatic only.

Colt sent a pilot model rifle (serial no. GX4968) to the BATF for civilian sale approval on Oct. 23, 1963. It was approved on Dec. 10, 1963, and sales of the "Model R6000 Colt AR-15 SP1 Sporter Rifle" began on Jan 2, 1964. The M16 wasn't issued to infantry units until 1965 (as the XM16E1), wasn't standardized as the M16A1 until 1967, and didn't officially replace the M14 until 1969. Colt had been selling semi-automatic AR-15's to civilians for 5 years by the time the M16A1 replaced the M14. Going off of the serial number records for the SP1, Colt had sold at least 2,501 rifles to the civilian market by 1965, 8,250 rifles by 1967, and 14,653 rifles by 1969.

It was approved on Dec. 10, 1963 under the President of LBJ, and both congress and senate held the majority by Democrats. ouch...

Common sense says there is one age for adulthood in all contexts. If you can join the service and vote at 18, you should enjoy all rights at 18.

In the US.  Some parts of the world they consider14 to 15 yr olds as adults

The only way to stop a bad teacher with a gun is a good teacher with, uh, two guns!!!!

Whether a teacher is allowed to be armed or not, anyone teacher put a gun in their pocket and go into school. Laws don't actually stop people from doing anything. The "oh yea lets arm teachers take" in response to this is dumb.

Many we are heading down the road where all types of business, school and office will have certified weapon carrier CWC and the legal CCW holder will be able to enter stores with their weapons.  No reason to ban anything all will be protected by those 2nd Amendment individuals.

Note: I carry my weapon in most stores, bars (dont drink), restaurants, some banks and church (no school property except football games sometimes)

This entire debate is full of stupid.

A "good guy with a gun" to respond to a shooter is not an acceptable solution.  We don't want these people getting into our schools or workplaces.  Modern technology makes it cheaper AND more effective to secure buildings from unwanted visitors.  The "good guy with a gun" should be like Plan C or D.

I'll agree that it's not THE acceptable solution. It's a valid part of an overall security plan that as you said, starts with securing the physical plant.

He probably wouldn’t have been able to buy the murder weapon if the school had referred him to law enforcement."

To keep students in school and improve racial outcomes, Broward school Superintendent Robert W. Runcie – a Chicagoan and Harvard graduate with close ties to President Obama and his Education Department – signed an agreement with the county sheriff and other local jurisdictions to trade cops for counseling. Instead of the criminal justice system, students charged with various misdemeanors, including assault, were referred to counseling, which included participation in “healing circles,” obstacle courses and other “self-esteem building” exercises.

I'm all in favor of securing the perimeter. That's always your first line of defense. My one concern is is that we go overboard protective perimeter so much that we will have students and teachers locked in to a situation where no one can enter once you lock those doors and someone's inside with a weapon that makes the matter worse not better.

What has taken you so long to politicize this and blame Obama?  I'm telling you, read about narrative fallacy.
