Same topic as thread, but apparently there is an active shooter in Central Michigan University.

Weird, a non student shows up to a campus with a gun, where people there are (probably) not allowed to have guns. This will be a non-story in a day or two bc it was a black guy with probably a pistol

Probably, but it will still be counted as a "school shooting" by "Everytown" and similar pieces of human excrement when it likely has little or nothing to do with it taking place on a college campus.

Precisely. I still can't figure out how he got a gun into a gun-free zone.

Not sure which thread to put this in, but did anyone see the report from USA Today that only 13 people ever used the NRA discount for a Delta airline ticket? Fucking virtue signaling possibly cost them a tax break. I hate the stupid responses to this shooting.

Can something be simultaneously hard to believe and also unsurprising?

I wish I knew about the discount, I would have used it.

Me either, shocking.  Apparently liberals are not as good at eliminating guns from campus as they are free speech.

There's going to be a lunar eclipse in July.  Will you be able to successfully make that about politics - specifically how whatever aspect of it you don't like is the fault of the liberal "narrative"?

I wonder what happens when a bunch of big banks and credit companies decide they no longer want to deal with gun makers and dealers?

It's time that we stop trying to ban guns everytime government local politicians and local law enforcement and school administration fails..

Senate and Congress get a clue and it's time we put term limits on these assholes.

Career politicians are out of touch get rid of them.

No one is going to “ban guns”. Most people in the country support stronger laws on minimum purchase age, banning bump stocks, getting rid of high magazine assault style weapons and gun show loop holes.  That’s a far cry from banning guns.

If people on the one side would accept that guns are highly valued by a segment of society and viewed as a basic right by them, and people on the other would stop acting like the government is trying to get you, maybe we could get somewhere.

The problem is that only two voices are allowed to be heard.

The "NO GUNS ANYWHERE!!!!" group and the "MORE GUNS EVERYWHERE!!!!" group. Both loaded with dumbasses and deserving no relevancy, but getting most or all the attention.

There are lots of people who want to ban guns. Also, not nearly as many people agree with you on gun laws as you think.

One side wants to blame the tool, take it from innocent people and tell them what kind of guns are ok for them to have. (Based on a fucking color and a perception that ar-15s are military rifles)  And when the next school shooter uses a shotgun, they will try to take shotguns. If he uses a semi auto pistol they will tell us we don't need them. If he uses revolvers they will tell us we don't need them. It IS a slippery slope and that is why we push back against everything
