Okay so zero examples so far of rioters breaking into homes, got it. So zero need for anyone with a gun to protect themselves. You keep saying “this is a great time to own a gun!” (Said it when covid was starting up, too) and yet there’s been no evidence of needing a gun to protect your homes from rioters or covid? home? thief’s?

And yes, what a great time to have an Ar-15 lol jesus

Not how it works.  Gun ownership and your right to have a gun comes with more then zero need.  There is always a need.

I know it’s hard for you to read sometimes, being a gym teacher and all, but try really hard this time to read what I said: I’m pro-2nd amendment and your rights to own a gun. The comment you bolded was in regards to this particular situation of rioters destroying property. So far, they’re not breaking into people’s homes.

How much proof do you need? Search "breaking into homes" on twitter comes up with a lot of results. I'm not going to post them all. San Leandro Cali and Chicago were the ones with the most people saying it. No way to prove it is real though. And are you suggesting business owners shouldn't be armed either?

Also from this article "A Chatham community leader said the National Guard needed to be out around the city. She said homes were broken into at 87th Street and Exchange Avenue, and named numerous stores around the area that were looted and vandalized or burned."

Did you miss the video posted of the woman being absolutely brutalized outside of her store while her husband impotently yelled at the attackers? Have you missed the videos of people literally standing outside of their businesses with guns and being left alone?

For someone that's not anti-2A you have a really weird habit of making fun of any mention of firearms.

Lol 87th and exchange is a horrible part of town And it wouldn’t surprise me if that wasn’t been looting related, but I mean THANKS for finally providing some sort of proof. I honestly thought home break-ins would be more of an issue country wide but it wasn’t. Sure there were probably an example or two across the country, but no more than what would happen on a normal weekend. Which is a good thing that that’s the case.

Dude, obviously there were businesses being broken into. I literally watched it with my own eyes Saturday night, and there were thousands of examples across the country. I asked for examples of people’s homes being broken into. You guys sometimes pretend that the world is turning into the purge, and that everyone needs to be armed or else you’ll die. It’s just rarely ever that way.

”zero examples of home break ins, zero reason for people to defend their homes with guns” is what I was trying to say. You know what I was saying, come on. Obviously there are examples of gun owners saving businesses from looters.

Haven't really been on here much as of late but wanted to chime in on our recent events. I am truly saddened/sickened by everything that's going on in our world, from the inception (cop murdering the guy in Minnesota) to the reaction (looting, riots, utter senseless stupidity). Our country has stooped to the lowest human form.

And yes, guns ARE a necessity with what's going on unless you live is some remote part of the Dakotas or Alaska. I do not own a gun (because of my girlfriend's daughter) but owned several from the age of 10 until about 20. I've really been considering purchasing a few, as of late.

A gun will never be a necessity for me. So your comment about it being a necessity is maybe accurate for some but not all.

It's not a necessity for you, until these people do start invading homes, when a simple "I got your back Antifa/BLM, no need to hurt me" won't suffice.

At this point, is there any valid reason for the protests to continue? Are there any people who think that cops killing people due to their skin color is OK that can be convinced otherwise?

There's got to be a better way to screen these cops coming in. I read back a few pages and saw comments like "guys who became cops in my school were the same guys who played JV as juniors and seniors" and other comments implying cops were usually not the brightest crayons in the box. Maybe there needs to be a threshold (education/grades) to screen? I'm just spit balling here. Don't have the answers but it seems like a lot of them (police) are gung ho and a few too many trigger happy.

You have a very weird way of saying you are not anti 2A, yet you seem to get extremely triggered by gun talk any time someone brings it up.  I gave you two examples, wtf are you talking about?  It's really not that hard to search for more.  Again, that wasn't the main point I was trying to make, but go ahead and set an arbitrary amount of home break ins that you would like to see to be satisfied in order to own a gun during a national riot lol.  Do you actually think the people destroying/looting businesses and attacking their owners wouldn't do the same to private houses if they happen to be in the neighborhood?  ANTIFA tweeted last night it was time to move to the suburbs. I wish I was that naive to think the rioters will have the decency to only keep their violence and vandalism to businesses LOL.  If you really want to die on this "I am not anti 2A, but you don't need a gun unless people break into houses (which they do)" hill, go for it.

Also, it is a great time to own an AR-15 (as it would be any time).  I just gave you a historical example on why and how effective it is, and your only comeback is to laugh and mock it.  Great counter point.   Hopefully you will eventually realize ETB and others aren't telling you to grow up simply for calling ICL fat.

I skimmed through this. You’re really trying super hard to be Otrap aren’t you?
The looters are after free Nike shoes dude. If you can’t see that they’re kids who are trying to get free shit and won’t be breaking into homes next, then idk what to tell you. One antifa twitter page posted to go into the suburbs, oh no!! Everyone get armed!! Haha

I'll admit I lol'd at the bolded.  But anyway, thanks for explaining it to me.  The people setting property on fire, beating the shit out of people, pulling people out of trucks to beat the shit out of them, smashing cars, breaking into small businesses without nikes, etc are just doing it for Nikes.  They would certainly never do any of the aforementioned in someone's neighborhood.  This includes the person that JR just beat the fuck out of in his neighborhood trying to smash his car. Only smashing the car for the Nikes obviously. We are all clear now.
