Senate bill 580 pages. Pelosis bullshit bill 1200 pages. Includes a bailout of the USPS. Ptown can both sides this all he wants, but there is only one side adding giant completely irrelevant bullshit to this.

Sports are important, especially for the psyche of the country.  I’m thinking Trump should meet with MLB soon and actually throw a starting date out there, just to give everyone something to look forward.  Something like:  “We are going to ‘Play Ball’ starting on June 1, and so between now and then let us all do our part to make this happen”.   Etc…etc… – would be something that we can all sort of work toward and look forward to…..even if it has to be played in empty stadiums at first. I am not saying do this now, but hopefully in say, 3 weeks from now, if we can start to see some light at the end of the tunnel. 

 

I think this is a really good idea.  I hope it happens.

Sigh. Yeah that was bound to happen. It is now up to 1400 pages. 

This isn't that hard, yet Ds are making it that much harder. 

Although, in the Senate, the fact that 4 of them are out right now in self isolation has to come into play at some point in how this passes. 

So, on the plus side. I work for a highway/ infrastructure firm. Outside of PA, most of the state Transportation agencies are giving the green light to contractors to actually speed up their construction work due to the lack of cars on the road. Work zones can extend hours on lane closures and companies are being encouraged to add shifts and crews. 

So, hey maybe some of those potholes and highway projects will be filled in and roadway projects completed.

I'm going with intentionally obtuse for Fletcher (politician cynically giving an anti-gun party line response on issue) and legit stupid for the fourbillionyear dude who loves him for saying that. In short, Fletcher is the puppet master and the other guy is in the role of useful idiot.

We're in the sort of situation where there's a ton of uncertainty about many, many things ranging from health to economy to personal employment to being able to acquire needed goods and so on. People just aren't going to have the patience to tolerate chirping from idiots looking to shoehorn in their opinions on random things not associated with the shit that actually matters right now.

It truly is. I’ve been trying to leave and this is the final straw. 

Also, we were originally knocked down to 15 hours. That changed today to 20 hours, which is JUST under the company’s requirement to earn benefits. And we are still considered “essential” employees. This whole situation is so GD frustrating. 

If you are below 25 hours, I don’t think you are guaranteed health benefits. 

Ffs, a couple in Arizona ate fish tank cleaner, supposedly bc it was also called chloroquine, and the media is blaming Trump. This is awesome.

Well the media is saying that because the dumb fuck wife who lived to talk is saying it. And I watched that presser and he did hint strongly that it was something that would work. So, not sure where the outrage at the media is for this?
