What sites have you signed up for and who has the best promotions and what are the fine prints of each. I know one friend said he planned on signing up for like 14 different places and places opposite bets to get some free money.

I'll sign up for Barstool and Betjack as they have physical locations and my account can be online and in person. Barstool is here in Columbus and Betjack up in Cleveland.
Promotions are all over the place, but the fine print is if you win, it stays in its own bucket or is hard to withdraw for cash. It's why I usually like to bet in person.
I'll probably keep my offshore account as a nice option if I find value in a line.
Can't believe the state is not moving up the date a day to capture the Ohio State playoff handle. Waste of an opportunity.
Going to be nuts to see kiosks in bars and stores in a few months though. March is going to be fun.

I have DraftKings. Going to blow through (and probably lose) the eight free bets then probably never look at it again.

FanDuel had a promo where you could bet up $100 on at least 1 or more point being scored last night in Bills/Bengals and it was even odds. Easiest $100 I ever made. Quickly withdrew that to my bank account too lol. That was before the Hamlin injury. It'll be interesting to see how sites handle the bets for that game.
Most should just cancel the bet. I know my site did.

Do you guys have any good follows or "expert" advice you like to seek out on social media?
I know it's typically a total crap shoot. I find most value in player props usually. I may place a bet or two a week, nothing crazy.
VSiN and the Action Network are my follows. Also, Stanford Steve and the Bear.
I also love to fade whatever Clay Travis says. Been pretty profitable.

like friendfromlowry, I am also chewing through my free $25 bets on DraftKings. My weekend was ok.
All-in-all, I turned $150 worth of free bets into $228. My biggest wins were Tulane over USC and I placed two separate bets on Pittsbugh/Baltimore (spread and Pittsburgh money line). I also got in on that Cinci "score any points to double your money" thing that DK offered.
As is tradition, the bet I felt safest about ended up losing. (Utah/PSU).
Currently my account is restricted because the Geocomply app is a heaping pile of garbage. I have two free $25 bets remaining that I may or may not be able to redeem.

The app doesn't require that, just fyi.
Yeah, I know. The mobile app worked fine up until my account got restricted. If they don't unblock my account I won't be too burned up since I was playing with house money anyway.

I really am well on my way to losing all eight of those bets. I still have a few pending on the national championship Monday, and I put one on the Bengals winning the superbowl. But I’m otherwise 0-4. I keep trying to hit basketball parlays. I almost had one last night, I missed on Jrue Holiday getting the over on 16 points which he’s done ten out of the last eleven fucking games. But apparently he was a game time decision minutes restriction for being sick. Sweet.
At least I haven’t lost any actual money and don’t intend to. Guys like me have no business betting apparently.

Gotcha. All those geolocation things suck. So I started using app only. Especially since for work I always have a VPN on.
I would try just emailing them. Customer Service is pretty top notch for these companies, shockingly.
It was definitely self-inflicted. I tried on my desktop and laptop several times and geolocation flat out would not work. As a last-ditch effort, I spun up a generic Windows 10 virtual machine which got me restricted because Virtualbox is a prohibited app.
I should've just left it alone and continued using the app on my phone.
I suspect the root problem is that my ISP got bought out in recent memory. They've been juggling shit around so it's tough to get an accurate location reading for me.
I opened a ticket on Monday night and they've been slow to respond. I suspect they're slammed with other inquiries over the Bengals/Bills fiasco.
