Not that this stuff doesn’t look crazy, but this is a review of a book called “How to Blow up a Pipeline”, not a news article or column .  The author is a nut job Euro that says only sabatoge will force governments to address climate change.

I get that, why are they promoting it? And if you read the comments, many people agree with the premise of violence for the “common good”.  We saw it play out last year…

Kind of a Bill Ayers approach to promoting one’s agenda.  Building up the supplies to blow up the pipeline would probably require several trips to the hardware store in a vehicle powered by gasoline that passed through said pipeline.

I find it more amusing than anything. You have people I've never heard of before giving these super-strong opinions on stuff, followed by other people I've never heard of before either agreeing like they got positive feedback from a celebrity they idolize or trash-talking them like they're the only true expert on things. It's such a bastion of self-importance and it leads to this awesome circle where everyone is basically yelling at everyone else while trying to move goalposts and outright fabricate stuff to show they are the most rightest of the right people. Or posting random tweets by random people on this site like it means anything. I mean, I don't know what...scrolls up...a David Weissman is and I don't care, but apparently he got someone's jimmies rustled!

In short, I love Twitter and what it does because it makes me feel superior because I don't get constantly triggered by all the stupid shit all the stupid people say because they all found out that even really stupid thoughts have power when they get an audience.

Twitter is mere entertainment.  You just have to stay away from the rabbit hole of comments

Oddly the same reason I like it… but no I’m not triggered, this thread is about progressives and plenty of people posted about Kavanaugh. Same reason I hate the idiots pretending a $3.5t somehow costs nothing.

Twitter is very frustrating, but it’s the only place I have found a community of likeminded individuals to interact with. Not a lot of anarchist type folks in the real world.

Have you tried Reddit? 

Reddit just bans anything that isn’t hive mind think. The major subs like politics are run by left wing activists. They can post articles that are proven false and nothing happens but a right leaning subreddit gets banned or bidden
