3.) I don't get the Shania Twain thing. Why even bother apologizing for hypothetically voting for somebody haha! She's not even relevant anymore.

What is the backlash here? Are people going to stop buying her music?

She seems like she is doing it for the attention....just an attention whore.

In a manner of speaking, those who so strongly oppose her are falling right into it, if that's true.

Ok

What's more dangerous: rugby, or a walk in the woods? At Pennsylvania State University, the administrators apparently think it's the latter.

I would answer that walking into the locker room was more dangerous.

I'll see myself out.

Very much so.  Kanye is not going to be shamed and intimidated into keeping his mouth.  Not the guy to play your identity politics game with.

But is Kanye a conservative?  Does this mean he's going to challenge Trump in 2020 in the primaries?!?   lol

While it's fun to watch the left melting down over Kanye's tweets, we should probably keep in mind that at the end of the day, he's still pretty much a crazy person.

Kanye is definitely crazy. The funny part of his is that his whole tweet said "I like the way Candace Owens thinks."

He was referencing her statement that the black community needs to stop thinking like victims and start thinking like victors.

Her example was the Asian community that during WW2 was put into internment camps in the US similar to the Jews in Germany just without the executions.

The Asian community around that time was subject to severe racism only trumped by 19th century slavery. She said you will not hear Asian American's today talk about the internment camps and use it to discuss how bad their race was treated. They instead took control of their futures and are now the richest race in America (for reference white/caucasian is 3rd behind Asian Americans and Indian Americans...the country India).

That was what he "liked" that her thought process was looking toward the future rather than using past atrocities as a crutch (and make no mistake, slavery and Jim Crow laws were atrocities), he may not even agree with her conservative political stances (who knows).

But, since Kanye said a nice thing about a conservative black woman, he is ostracized.

To be honest, I had never heard of this woman until this whole Kanye thing, I watched a few of her speeches and I kind of like her. She was a die hard liberal who said she finally starting thinking for herself at one point. She has been labeled a white supremacist...that's right, a black woman that has been labeled a white supremacist by the left because she doesn't fit the liberal group think mold......let that sink in..

I came across her on twitter a couple of months ago. As you mentioned, her big things is the victimhood of black people, and specifically hates the BLM movement and the non-fact based claims that cops just go around killing them. Works for me.

Yeah.  He's still a musical genius, and he's still batshit crazy.

I mean, it's not outlandish to consider a minority person aligning themselves with the majority group on racial issues.  It's just that we usually hear/use the term "Uncle Tom" to describe that in circumstances like these.

In any case, I've noticed more and more of my neighbors and community espousing certain platforms that do not align themselves with the contemporary black Democratic voter stereotype.  In particular, a lot of the black men and women are taking a more favorable view toward openly arming themselves (and being responsible gun owners), a general distrust of government, and even a more positive status symbol associated with getting off government assistance programs.  It's not widespread, but it's more so than it was 10 years ago, when I moved in.

I'm wondering if this is a shift nationwide, which I obviously can't know, but it's something I've noticed from time to time.

Unfortunately, yes.  They will.  They'll walk her right into the narrative of being an 'Uncle Tom'.

I've heard this.  My hometown sounds like it's changed in this direction, too.  Not just methheads, necessarily, but left-leaners.  When I was there, it was blood red.
