Meanwhile, the Rs are bending over backwards to endorse an accused pedo, so they can maintain a majority in the Senate.

Franken is giving his speech right now or may be done with it by now, I don't know. But I agree with you.

Honestly, I dont have any vested interest in either Franken or Moore (meaning that I don't live in either of their respective states). I think Franken is doing the right thing and that Moore is not. On the other hand as I've said before, if I were accused of doing something that I did not do, I would go to my grave denying it and proving myself innocent. I think that due process of the law should not be ignored in either instance.

All I can say is that I'm glad that the nationwide discussion is being had at this time.

The situations are not identical, though.  Franken can step down, and run-off or appointed successor will be a Democrat.  The allegations against Moore came out too late to put a different Repub name on the ballot.  A write-in alternate is a nice solution, but a guaranteed failure in practice.

Read today that the one accuser has a stepson who says she is lying.  The other accuser has a brother who was sent to jail by Moore.

Hard to know the truth.

All said while using the exact opposite reasoning with regard to any allegation - however suspect - against Hillary, Obama, etc.

law enforcement agencies don't issue subpoenas unless they have reason to believe that they will ascertain evidence of crime. Hope that helps.

I don't think that's entirely accurate, not with respect to routine info gathering such as financials (i.e. they will subpoena financial records as part of an investigation whether they expect to find evidence or not).

Well, you're right in so far as politics goes. But I was referring to something much different - the right thing to do. They rarely mean the same thing! lol

LOL.

Context and source man. You are in the school system, even you should know the difference between a primary and secondary source.

If the story says ABC reported, then cite the actual ABC story and transcript.

Here's an ABC story -- the first I found by typing her name and ABC, although I don't know if it's the one Fox was referring to. She says he signed it and she added notes under it, which would be the date and a location (which are pretty obviously in different handwriting than anything else located in the message). Dumb of her to not immediately disclose she added those context notes to it, because the Breitbarts and QQs of the world are obviously jumping all over that shit with their "Well, if this is a bit fishy, NO ALLEGATIONS EVER AGAINST HIM HAVE MEANING!!!!!!" insinuations.

Ah, so the incription below with the date and location were added, not the message as a whole. So, the damning message Moore wrote she did not forge. Gotya.

See, context folks.

Now, I will say that in light of this, it'd be in her best interests to comply with the request for a handwriting expert to compare stuff, as it doesn't look good to first say it was all his message and then to add, "Well I did add some notes below it".

Report: California Pension Fund At Risk With Focus On “Progressive” Investments.

The Washington Examiner (12/6, Pringle) writes that a new report from the American Council for Capital Formation (ACCF) says that the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) “is edging closer to financial disaster by investing in progressive-oriented companies instead of more-profitable ones.” CalPERS has recently “dedicated a significant portion of its portfolio to environmental and social causes to advance its progressive agenda,” and the report’s analysis “discovered that four of its nine lowest-performing funds were related to renewable and clean energy.” ACCF Vice President of Policy and General Counsel Tim Doyle is quoted saying, “Rather than focusing on getting the fund back on firm financial footing, CalPERS’s management is making questionable investments of pensioners’ money into social and political causes that are not yielding acceptable returns. And even more troubling, because of how big the fund is and how much influence it wields, it’s actually now forcing other large investors and proxy advisory firms with which it does business to follow suit.” The Examiner adds, “In its current state, CalPERS only has enough assets to pay for two-thirds of the money it owes to California public workers and retirees.” Forbes (12/5) also addresses the issue in a column."

As a sequel, I read that Fox News corrected their "forgery" part to reflect actual reality. In news that should surprise no one, when Trump did his latest "fake news" bashing of erroneous reporting by networks, this wasn't included as part of the rant, since to him, news is only "fake" when saying so supports his narrative.

So, I was just watching a yt vid when I heard the comment (paraphrasing here) that FOX news has been comparatively reasonable when you view them against CNN, MSNBC, CBS, etc. I should mention that this was said by progressives. Yep, the old pinko, communistic, socialism-humping halfwits that would suck a fart out of Karl Marx's ass. FOX news was being complimented by progressives! Think about that for a moment. What the actual hell?!

They went on to talk about all of the CNN/MSNBC/CBS fake news that has happened in just this past week. Something like four incidents. And finally ended with asking these specific news sources to please talk about taxes, education, unions, etc. instead of fake news - with the caveat that the news stations are starting to not even discipline their journalists with the excuse that the fake news had passed editorial standards.

Where are we when FOX news is being touted as comparatively reasonable by progressives. Honestly, this is something that nobody foresaw a year ago. Too much!

Could be.

CNN walks back yet another false story:

http://dailycaller.com/2017/12/11/cnn-walks-back-jeff-sessions-russia-bombshell/

They and the rest of the left-stream media have zero shame; their entire effort is to simply get rid of Trump.  The hysteria is laughable.

Notice you're ignoring Fox walking back their "yearbook forgery" story from a few days back, since it doesn't fit your left-wing media narrative.
