Well, you're not a politician.
What Pennsylvania is doing is a nice portrayal of DEI. This is how it's done. People tend to think that DEI is always about what people look like, sexuality, or gender. It's not. It's about giving to somebody something that was unearned in order for them to win. In a nutshell.

I think there are a lot of people who have fascism, among other derogatory terms - like racist! -, living under their beds.
These types of people couldn't name five hallmarks that define fascism, especially considering that political historians would have, and do, a difficult time agreeing on five.
As for Chinese researchers announcing something, I lean towards thinking about that with some skepticism. If it's true, then it's up to the rest of the world to figure out how to counter it.
If the Chinese do that, we'll just bust out the element 115 and really break their minds.
The Biden/Harris administration is sending land mines to Ukraine.
Because morals.
Who is going to remember where they are in five years? Ten years?

Ok. Your last sentence could go either way. The land mines or Biden/Harris? lol

Reps!
So the media is starting to push the idea that Trump doesn't have a mandate despite winning the EC, the popular vote, winning the House/Senate.

He did not win a majority of the popular vote, where at least a 55% share would be considered a "mandate". Only 52 or 53 seats in the Senate, and a razor-thin margin in the House.
In this case, the media is pretty close to the truth. Trump DOES NOT have a broad, popular mandate. It's Trump and his media that's bullshitting on this one.

That's interesting.
I think about Trump's ideas in much the same way I have of other presidents - which is to say that I disagree with some of his predeterminations and I hope he doesn't succeed in getting those done.
On the other hand, if his cabinet gets to straightening some of our healthcare problems I'm not going to be mad about it.
Im not happy with the idea of using military against either our citizens or illegal migrants. On the other hand, I can imagine scenarios where that might be necessary to stop harmful chaos.
I guess I'm still a bit on my heels trying to figure out Trump. I fully understand why people voted for him, but he's unpredictable. I think the best part about Trump are the explosions of memes.
All of this is to say that I think he has a mandate to some degree, regardless of the numbers. But that's limited and the people he is surrounding himself with, I hope, can keep him balanced and practical. It worries me that some people place him into a demi God like status.

You guys went from "she might win all of the swing states AND Iowa" to this.
Bums.

Its 53. Casey conceded. There was a brag about defying the law concerning counting votes. Opposite effect. Anything not allowing a simple majority is going to need 4 of the majority to side with the minority. 4 of the minority won in close elections where Trump won the state. Not sure how much the latter matters as they got 6yrs. Its significant but how consequential it is remains to be seen.

From the coast to 75 miles inland ..........the rest of the state is still fairly conservative.

55% of the vote is what is now required for a “mandate?

What's the menu? Bet I could do it. Local grocery store has frozen birds on sale for 49cents/lb and a 5 pound bag of potatoes for $1.99.

In my family there is always a lot more than 10 people but the usual kinds of food are there
We usually have 2 birds or a bird and ham (or some other meat), mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole, a salad, meat/cheese/relish/fruit trays, rolls, gravy, usually two different hot veggies, cranberry sauce, homemade noodles, pumpkin bread and pie, a couple other pies and about two cakes. And I'm probably forgetting something, but you get the general idea.
