People are getting crazier with politics. This is a convo I had with a buddy of mine this morning who usually is a pretty reasonable person.    He shared a video essentially saying they had to have cheated

Serious question.

Who do the Dems actually want to vote for them?

Because it seems to me that they are hate-fucking everybody. Everybody. Gay men, Latinos m/f, black men, suburban women, all the non educated people, anybody Republican or conservative, the Amish, the working class/poor, Indigenous, Asians and more.

Who does that leave them with?!

Fetterman has nerve calling anyone "dipshit" when he makes Biden, in his current state, look sharp as a tack.

Well, I guess if you’re gonna talk about mental states how about I start a “does Trump have Alzheimer‘s” thread? I am sure Jmog will show his significant knowledge and give us an assessment. I will pre-ban her lock geeblock from the discussion.

Go ahead.

I think I was probably the first one here to point out that there was more going on with Biden than just the slowness of age. I did so because of my own direct experience with my mother, research and talking forever with doctors. I know that my speaking of it really bothered some people and that's ok. For many people, politics is personal.

I am interested as to why you think there is similarities between Biden and Trump, besides being very close in age. That is to say, what do you think are the qualifying indicators that links the two as having the same condition.

If you truly are going to start the thread I'm working tonight and will be right around the corner from the Doc Box in case you have any questions that I don't immediately know or am unsure of.

There are times when I can't bring myself to want to talk about it very much and I know that's me being very selfish and closed off. But sometimes I don't mind talking about it at all because if I can help somebody, even a little bit, by sharing my experiences with ALZ, then I will.

So, please do start that thread.

Just joking above.  My MIL is in middle stages of this, so I'm seeing first hand how difficult it is.  My opinion is that Trump does not have dementia...maybe just a little slower due to age, but not cognitive decline.

No, he's not anywhere within the stages of ALZ. But he has late stage Fuckassism.

Who knows, maybe this time he can straighten up. I hope he does. I hope he can effect meaningful change and then ride off into the sunset.

I am now being called a betrayer and/or hater of all women, because I wrote in my vote. I tried to explain to them that my vote would not have changed the EC vote for Ohio, whatsoever, but these women are just working themselves up into a lather. It's funny but really sad at the same time. We really have serious mental health issues in this country.

One of the shorter ones:

Should’ve replied “women are wonderful…but I do hate bitches”

So I watch a little bit of Kimmel and Colber for the first time in forever, just to see the tears.

They did not disappoint.  Either they actually started believing all their own bullshit, or it was performance art.  Likely the latter.

And I guess we can already dispense with the myth that "Trump learned and will surround himself with yes-man the second time".  Ummm, Musk, Gabbard, RFK Jr and others...  You may not agree with these people, but they are definitely not pushovers and definitely not MAGA.

I actually think Fetterman is onto something. The Dems have tried to cater to everyone to no avail. Maybe calling them out and saying, "This is the alternative if you don't vote for us, you fucking idiots, will resonate". Its certainly worth a shot!

If Trump tones down the divisive rhetoric and governs responsibly (and, no, I don't think he's capable of either) then he will MASSIVELY damage the Dems and their media for years by proving the "Hitler destroying Democracy" was total bullshit.

And while Trump's plan to go after corruption and the deep state sounds good to many, it's also rife for the type of abuse the left claims to fear (though it would be hard to top their lawfare pursuits).  I don't worry that Trump will be fascist/dictator, but I do seriously doubt his ability to execute effectively on this initiative.

At the end of the day, I don't expect much different from his first term where it's mostly Trump and the Dems and their media throwing feces at each other like monkeys.

I get what you're saying. You're right, it's impossible to please everybody. But my question still stands. Who do they want to vote for them? They are in the process of shunning and shaming all of their voters or potential voters . Pretty soon the only people Dems will consider to be worthy enough to vote for them will be the media and those with a DC address.

I was also saying that in jest. It’s the exact divisive rhetoric that I hate Trump for. I can’t sit here and pretend it’s ok.

Too early to tell about the yes man. The Attorney General will be the big one. DHS secretary will be important to determine that as well.

I'm coming around to this view as well. The tariffs and how he may implement his mass deportation plan are concerns. I'm more inclined to think as long as Trump does not really screw up something that big that impacts people, he will just be another President.

But why would Biden have stepped aside sooner?  I was told he was sharp as a tack and ready to lead until 2028

The lawfare is the biggest reason I voted for Trump.  Somewhere in the bowels of this thread when that began I mentioned something along that line.  That perceived as being successful was the real "threat to democracy" in this election.  The total and complete repudiation of it is a long term win.  I do agree with you going after this type of corruption brings on the possibility of "fighting fire with fire."

I think most people here were immediately repulsed by what the Dems did. Only a couple were openly happy to sit and watch it happen.

I might be over estimating that, though. Because come to think of it - only one name comes to mind.

He didn’t get out of the way because Kamala running was a pre devised plan.  Everyone knows she wouldn’t have survived a rel primary. The entire thing was staged so she could run unaposed.

Dems are already eating tacos, taking laxatives and shitting in their hands.
