If you look at other schools with multiple tournament titles, they are either Catholic schools or public schools located in areas with a large Catholic population. With 45 years of data to support it, I think we can say that the Harbin points and tournament format favor Catholics. The AP poll method does not have this bias. Under the poll system, the best team won the title and wasn't influenced by the religious bias that exists today.
I concur. I believe the most accomplished QB of all time, Tom Brady, was brought up Catholic and also was the ownership of the Steelers, the most successful NFL franchise, Art Rooney.

Do the Packers know that the Steelers are the most successful NFL franchise?

6 Super Bowls, but if you want to argue the fact.............Lombardi was Catholic as well......

Either way...the Browns must have been founded by an Athiest, or even worse....a Muslim.

Keep 'em coming. Should be back on the interwebs in about 4-6 weeks and will school ya'll some more....

Paul Brown's 8 titles don't look too bad.

Drop in the bucket....Especially when you consider about half of THAT are kids attending parochial schools.

Marion local is the school district that kids from a few extremely small towns make up the school. The towns have a church, and maybe a bar, and that is it. Kids don't transfer into marion, or cw, or st henry. Too much local pride for kids to skip out to the next town to play football. Want to know who will be on their varsity squads...,go tk theor junior high gsmes. Those kids will be the ones, not transfers or recruits. And Lee wee football? Fuck that shit, they start In 7th grade
St. Henry and Marion Local are over 90% Catholic.

Their competitive balance numbers seem low if they have that many Catholics. St. Henry has a competitive balance adjustment of 2, and Marion Local has a competitive adjustment of 10. The state put in the competitive balance numbers a few years ago because Catholics have superhero type powers on a football field.

Don't confuse "superhero type powers", with lax recruiting rules for parochials and minor programs like the MAC schools.

In an earlier post, you said that St. Henry and Marion Local are 90% Catholic. Why do you give these schools a free pass on taking kids who should be going to a Catholic school?

As an FYI as I know you are just being a dick but others may not know....

The closest catholic/private school to a Maria Stein Marion Local and St Henry and cold water is 45 or so minutes away.

Why travel that far for an education when you can get just as good of one, or better, just a mere 5-7 miles away?

Geezy weezy, welcome back. Reading your post shoots down my theory that your absence involved a reading/writing class.

I'll say one thing for you MAC folks, you sure do think highly of yourselves. Lol

Kind of wondering if the "A" in MAC stands for arrogance.

I'm just trying to better understand the situation. Is it correct that Marion Local has kids from at least 5 different communities? Is it also correct that most of these kids are Catholic?

If we had a Catholic School bringing in non-Catholic kids from 5 different communities, would we be giving them the free pass that most people have given to Marion Local?

gosh a ruddies you are just mad because no one ever stayed in Massillon to get a good education, unless they were going to major in cheating.

Take it easy on Chiefy. He is taking a beating on a Massillon site. He whined that we don't have enough talent, then others on the site reminded him that we have brought in so much talent, combined with redshirting kids, that many sophomores and freshmen get significant playing time. The guy is delusional. I posted a video of our combine, and we look loaded. Massillon guys stick together like brothers, so I still support Chiefy, but the guy needs help.

Show me where half of that is true. At least your lies are getting better.

I posted a video from our combine earlier (we look unbeatable). Do a YouTube search for a trailer from "Go Tigers." They talk pretty openly about our redshirting and how the whole team was held back.
  • chiefy jones
    #1 more lies.

#2 first you say on the Massillon site they talked of redshirting kids....Now we have to, "do a YouTube search" from a trailer to a movie that was made ALMOST TWENTY YEARS AGO to find talk of redshirting? Which is it?
