It was good to see him look pretty healthy tonight...he's going to be big for us the next 2 weeks and beyond. Nice job #28!1_beast;1757334 wrote:REID STANLEY with a 42 yd td run...just saying -
Havin FunHave to give a ton of credit to Smithville tonight. They really surprised me and should do some damage in the playoffs. And Rittman. Wow.
Great job to the Bears too.
The next two weeks will bring lots of surprises and great games. -
oldsmithieSmithies hung tough! It was a heck of a game! Smithville will pick up a ton of computer points from this win!! I thought maybe the game was out of reach when the Chipps went up 20 to 7 in the third quarter but Smithville played great ball in the 4th quarter. What was up with the score board going out at the exact time Smithville intercepted a pass to seal the victory?
-
oldsmithieNorwayne all alone at the top of the league! Everyone else has two league losses. It was a crazy week for the WCAL. I still think 4 WCAL teams get in the playoffs. Norwayne Chippewa, Smithville and Waynedale.

No problem Dad, I hope you enjoyed the crow ! (sorry but we were out of humble pie by the time you got there)wcalfan;1757349 wrote: By the way Hunter...thanks for preparing my food for me tonight...they finally found a way for you to be a positive influence at a football game...
Bears looked to be back on track & scared the Dalton QB good with some rushes thru the line & had him running for his life early in the first half that set the tone early. -

That whole Stanley family is so talented !1_beast;1757334 wrote:REID STANLEY with a 42 yd td run...just saying
Now if we could just get your cousin Michael & his band the resonators to play at halftime we'd really have something !
Now the half-time air was sweet perfume, While Michael played a marching tune
We all got up to dance, Oh, but we never got the chance
'Cause the players tried to take the field The Stanley clan refused to yield........
Do you recall what was revealed ......The day the coaches cried ? -
1_beastJimmies n Joes didnt show up tonight for the Bears. It was the X's n O's.

MamaBearVery nice confidence builder for the Bears. Could've been much worse. Nice balance tonight...errr idk.
Just a few numbers im close too prior to tonight, (in regard to the "running game")
VS Northwestern, 19/44 passing? Over the last 7 years we have lost 75% of the games we passed 30+ times. Winning teams are passing 7-16 times. (running game) -

WCALfan? Can you dispute that? Or is this young lady making us all look silly?MamaBear;1757367 wrote:Very nice confidence builder for the Bears. Could've been much worse. Nice balance tonight...errr idk.

By the way, : The no running game thing??? We have 5 capable backs.
Rough 2 weeks ahead w Rittman coming off a big win and Smithville with a huge win. Points on the line. Playoffs or basketball season? -
Alum01
My daddy is in bed, but he will respond in the morning. Your talking about big wins the bears just beat DALTON, yes DALTON!!!!! Hoping for a #2, #7 match up at our place in week 11, but you guys have a tough road a head and will need some great coaching to get there, whats the chances? ................I say you lose next week and on to the winter sports!1_beast;1757368 wrote:WCALfan? Who's your daddy? Be careful what you wish for. And one last note, Bears will hang ANOTHER wrestling banner. -
Alum01
He always calls me son when replying to me?....... so I guess he's my daddy? Sure you will hang that banner, great program over there, never rebuild just reload! Wonder why it does'nt translate to other programs. But hey, 5-5 allot of programs that's great, we use to be that(then we made some changes), we went out and got some JIMMYS and a couple JOES.1_beast;1757370 wrote:Wh

oldsmithieNorwayne jumps to first in Region 16 Chippewa and Waynedale both in the top eight also!!! Smithville moves up to third in Region 19!! Hillsdale moves down to 9th in region 19. The WCAL still has a great shot at getting four teams in the playoffs.

Alum quit telling on me like a 3rd grader...I have been responding to YOUR messages "son" and you know it. Not "pumped" that we beat a 1-6 team just happy for the players and coaches to get back on track but it will be short lived because I guess we won't win another game this year. What I am "pumped" about is that your "team" got beat by the Smithies, who does it the right way, and I can tell you there are A LOT of area people that share that same sentiment with me. Don't think they are happy because they are jealous of a winner, they are happy because you don't do it with class. I don't think I should have to go into great detail on that, should I? Maybe Hunter can come up with one of his tremendous ballads for us to better explain this one.Alum01;1757366 wrote:Can you please reel in your puppet, he is PMing for I don't no what??? guess he is pumped they beat a 1-6 team? Does everyone see this guy? Seriously...ALL he does is bash coaches and claims everything is "politically" motivated...there's a conspiracy behind all of it! Before long, Coach Z will be responsible for the Kennedy assassination. But I bet if you ask his son what he thinks about Coach Z he would say he made him a better player and a better person...guaranteed. I wonder if you've ever had those conversations...doubt it. And some of the posts you come up with are nothing short of bizarre but knowing you that makes sense. Go ahead start researching something else and plug in a few of your inspiring words and entertain us some more... -

I completely agree the we need to establish a running game and I think I have been pretty consistent with that haven't I? Mama great job:RpS_blink: on gathering those stats but let's not forget this...chances are in those games we were probably playing catch up in a short amount of time sooooooo let's see here....we could run (when it ain't working) and eat up more clock or pass and try to score quickly....hence the 30+ passing attempts. That's the reason we passed 44 times last week because we had NO running game and we were down 2-3 scores most of the 2nd half. Nice try though on either blaming the coach or the qb or WAIT...it's a conspiracy that's politically motivated...that's right! By the way Mama...last night we had 242 yds rushing and 232 yds passing...errr idk (yuck, yuck) but that looks kinda balanced to me :RpS_glare:1_beast;1757368 wrote:WCALfan? Can you dispute that? By the way beast...I agree we have capable (be careful because that word is close to potential) backs but that hasn't translated to a consistent running game for some reason... Also, don't forget to add "or wrestling season?" to the end of your enlightening post because we have a good number of wrestlers on the team don't we? Just more evidence for my exposure campaign or is it all just a conspiracy.... -
Red Rider NationWaynedale can win out and make a run in the playoffs if the coach can figure out that they are better when keeping the ball on the ground. Could have beat Norwayne too if he did that. It's not that hard to see coach!

I'm sure that other than the court mandated part of your rehab, you don't have much community service experience..........you should try it, it's good for the soul.wcalfan;1757379 wrote:You could see all that while stirring the crock pots? Wow, I am impressed!
As for stirring the pot they try to put you in a position that your good at when you work the concession stand & it was a good fit for me as I'm a natural at stirring the pot as you well know!
