Well...let's see here Mr. Golden Bear...unless we have just 1 player on the team....hmmmmm...I am not sure...your question is a tough one......unfortunately one (or more) can ruin the whole bunch. The sad thing is this...it is becoming an epidemic in Bear country and all that does is hurt the kids. I am so proud!1_beast;1757099 wrote:And WHO are you referring this to? An individual or a group as one? -

Wait! He was talking about the Smithville field? Really? Oh...ok now it make so much more sense...I am so glad you (& Hunter) are on here to clarify things for me...:huhI could use this icon all the time on here)1_beast;1757098 wrote:Hey dumbass, they were talking about Smithville's field! (Reel em in! We hooked another!)
(BTW, your signature, "trying to expose 1Beast..." Tough Luck. Everyone knows who I am. LOL Unbelievable!
Go back into hiding!
By the way...my signature says "Doing everything I can to expose the fakes known as Hunter86 & 1_beast"...please try to pay attention... (I'll change it up this time)
I have always said AND will continue to say on here...you make this too easy! -

Just answer this question...why are things so different than they used to be? Have the kids changed or have the parents changed? HOLD ON...how was it back when you coached your son in little league? Or better yet...how was it back when you played? (Oh...there's that icon again!)Hunter86;1757102 wrote:Easy Beast, it's always the parents fault you should know that by now !
A couple quick months & it will all be over but the search for a replacement.
Just hope if everyone stays healthy we can win out & make it to the playoffs. -
1_beastToo easy for what? You to be my puppet? LOL Havent seen ya lately. Knew you'd show up

GoBearzI have to say "havinfun" has been pretty much spot on all year on his comments and predictions. The only thing I don't agree with is that the kids are afraid of being hit or are packing it in? None of us truly knows. I have been to every game this year as a "fan". My youngest graduated with 1beasts son in 2014 so I have no family or emotional ties anymore. Here is what I have seen for what it is worth.
The top 3 teams right now are Norwayne, Chippewa and NW. All three have QB's who throw well and do not throw the ball away. They tuck and run. Dual threat QBs who gain big yards on the ground as well as through the air. This added skill opens up the passing and running game for the rest of the team.
The Bears QB is a great athlete, not a dual threat player. I would love to see him take off and run more but maybe there is a reason he doesn't? I think he has enough speed to be a threat?
From what I have seen, the Bears are going to finish in the 3-5 spot in the league. This lines up about exactly where their talent level is compared to the rest of the league. Blame the coach, blame the parents, blame the kids if you like. In my mind the bottom line is that the teams ahead of us in the WCAL just have better player.
As for me, I am going to sit back, enjoy the games and cheer on the Bears the rest of the way. (I think we win out and make the playoffs)
Have a great Friday and enjoy the game of your choosing tonight! -

Yes they were different.wcalfan;1757221 wrote:Just answer this question...why are things so different than they used to be? Have the kids changed or have the parents changed? The kids were winners & won championships.
Several of those winners from back then are playing football on this years team.
Why aren't they winning now ?
Have all the other teams in the league just gotten that much better ?
I don't know of any of them that changed parents since then, but they have changed coaches.

oldsmithieLooks like a chilly night for the games! I am going to the Smithville/Chippewa game. Weather report says rain and windy conditions. Would love to see an upset!!! Smithville is out of league contention but in thick of things for a playoff spot! A lot of points on the line for both teams!

Havin FunHilarious post Hunter. And thanks GoBearz! And poor weather could affect the Chipps Smithies. I still say an easy 2+ TD win for Chippewa. Teams still have to stop Breitenstine and that ain't easy.
I think I am headed to that game too. -

It does appear that the rest of the league may have gotten better ... we have 5 or 6 teams hunting playoff berths ... I remember not too long back that the Chipps were lucky to score much less win ... skill comes and goes ... coaches come and go too ... lets just support the teams in the league and hope we continue to have a really good representation in the playoffs ... fyi ... I have no child in any of the school systems ... I just like good football.Hunter86;1757286 wrote:Yes they were different.

Answer this...what do those 3 teams have the we haven't had ALL year? I will tell you...a consistent running game. We haven't shown that yet and why is that? What does it take to have that on a football team? I want you to really think about it before you answer because I can think of a couple of very obvious reasons why that hasn't happened for us this year. I am not like you and the others on here...I won't get specific and put A KID out there front and center.GoBearz;1757240 wrote:I have to say "havinfun" has been pretty much spot on all year on his comments and predictions. You never cease to continue to make this so easy for me. I wasn't talking about this class in particular Einstein...although the parents of this senior class are actually very supportive of our coaches. It is the parents ahead of them and behind them that have created a culture that is toxic. But let's go back to your ingenious post...like I have told you many times and others have said on this forum as well...this is NOT little league or junior high anymore. One class can have a great deal of success at those levels BUT when you get to high school it takes a combination of classes to be successful and that has NOT happened for one reason or another. However I can tell you that the one of the main problems is that the classes above and below have been so quick to say that this class has been given "favoritism" (thanks for providing the ammo) that it DESTROYS all the teamwork and camaraderie that our coaches try to develop plus it has driven some kids to not even participate. And where does this all start....with parents like YOU! I know that your kids are out of school now but unfortunately you have influenced other kids along the way and your "runnin" around a few years ago did nothing but hurt the "Class of '86". Like I have said to YOU many times on here...just think what your kids could have done if you would have just let them TRULY be a great teammate. It is so sad...great job dad!Hunter86;1757286 wrote:Yes they were different.

beast do you really agree with the things that Hunter posts on here? What he posts on here is not "conversation". It is nothing but bashing of coaches/kids...not ifs, ands, or buts about it. That is exactly what it is and you know it...and we should just let that happen?1_beast;1757321 wrote:Ho hum. LOL You just pick fights with the posters from your closet. I couldn't agree with you more and I, as well, have no dog in the fight. However, what many post on here is not support whatsoever and I am sorry...I won't just let it happen.UrADork;1757309 wrote:It does appear that the rest of the league may have gotten better ... we have 5 or 6 teams hunting playoff berths ... And maybe check my post from about a week ago when I said the Bears don't have a running game. A little late to point that out now. I guess I could call you a name but you seem to be doing a pretty good job in that department.wcalfan;1757320 wrote:Answer this...what do those 3 teams have the we haven't had ALL year? Next 2 weeks are huge for the Bears...lots of computer points hanging out there. Hopefully we can get Havin Fun and Hunter involved in the game planning so we have a chance...better yet...let them take over ALL the coaching duties...:RpS_w00t:...now THAT is funny there...yuck, yuck
By the way Hunter...thanks for preparing my food for me tonight...they finally found a way for you to be a positive influence at a football game...
