    I have been critical of the Chipps defense at times. The secondary is lights out, but the front 7 has had its struggles at times. Yes Norwayne exposed them some, and Waynedale to a lesser extent. That being said, Hillsdale doesn't bring a Miller to the table. I know Mager is a good back, but Hillsdsle, much like Dalton and Smithville doesn't bring the speed needed to hurt Chippewa. Smithville averaged 3.8 yards a carry vs. the Chipps, and never showed the ability to go the distance on any play. When Chippewa plays aggressively, and blitzes, they are at their best.
    I know Hillsdsle has been strong defensively, but they have yet see the speed that Chippewa will put all over the field. Sure, Breitenstein is the straw that stirs the drink, but they have 4/5 other weapons that can hurt you from anywhere on the field. Also, they have the ability to go up top, or grind it out. I expect a good game, but Chippewa to pull away and win the title!

    Wcal observer, I am stoked to see breitenstein and the rest of the chipps play. Athletes have rarely been lacking at Chippewa, that's why I asked about the d-line n backers. Hillsdale has been susceptible to the blitz, if the qb has time, he throws a nice ball.
    Hillsdale saw some speed against loudonville.....we all saw how that turned out. Hillsdale will need to sustain drives and finish them or they will get beat. This hillsdale team plays with a lot of heart and pride, it's not always pretty but they have a lot to be proud of and I expect them to represent themselves as a title contender should.

    Hillsdale may have made me a believer. Im still just not impressed with Chippewa. I guess the Chipps DO open the playbook with adjustments, and seem to have more than 4 plays. This may be a battle of coaching wit instead of athletic ability....(if that's possible)

    Chipps by 3 touchdowns, boys are smelling 10-0. D-town will be rocking come Friday night. No other games in the league really matter, so only predicting this one.

    We're going into Week 9 with only two teams eliminated from playoff contention. This might be the only game with league championship implications, but I'd say there are some other games that still have impact and, thus, that matter.

    Sorry O-Trap you are right, let me rephrase.... only game that matters to me. Smithies and Falcon are still in the hunt so again I apologize if I offended anyone.

    The trendy thing to do each week is pick the upset of the year! Down went Norwayne, down went Waynedale, down went Dalton, down went Smithville. I'm not saying this team makes a deep playoff run, but only Norwayne has stayed under a 20 point deficit with them this year.....keeping picking against them.....they love the disrespect card! Chipps win this going away!

    Honest question cause I don't follow the computer points that close. If Smithies win out will they make it in? If so wow what a program turn around.

    I respect your passion. Chippewa has not seen defense as good as hillsdale's....Chippewa will not win "going away"

    Not necessarily. If so, Eitel would have them as "Controls their own destiny." They're one of the teams that could win out and not make it but aren't already eliminated.

    Speaking of coaching wit, what up in the creek? Has Wcal scared all the locals into to hiding or has the program reached the point where we were for a very long time, fans don't give a @#@! and the kids soon follow? Will we here from Wcal after you get the win this week after you rough up a program that is not to far below where you are?

    P.S have not heard from Wcal about the offer I extended to him about picking him up this week, O well, maybe he will come to the playoffs and give us some words of wisdom, you know he has been in way more many big games then we can dream of, only not in the last 9 years.

    IF you don't rattle the pipes once in awhile [EMAIL="s@$"]s@$[/EMAIL]# gets stuck to the side and eventually everything stops. Prepare for along ride home back to Ashland County, you have a nice team but come Monday start you basketball and wrestling practices with the rest of the county to get a jump start on us this year in the winter sports.

    Hillsdale hasn't seen an offense, or the speed that they will either. Hillsdale's offense will have to score, and they have been rather weak in that area. Even if Hillsdale's defense and Chippewa's offense are a draw, the Chipps defense is further ahead than the falcons offense.

    first I think most will agree Norwayne had packed it in by the time you played them. The Chipps went up 20 against Norwayne, and then allowed them back in it. They have had a bad habit of jumping out big, and maintaining focus all season, and better not tomorrow night. I have said this all along, we have not seen a 48 minute effort yet this year. We will see in less than 24 hours!

    I don't know the odds of making it if they win out, but Dalton still has a shot if they win out, and technically, so do Norwayne and Northwestern, though it's unlikely for the latter.

    Coaching wit in the Creek: I dont know. I DO know I have parents asking if we only have "x" plays in the book! I also know #28 didn't touch the ball the last 5 possessions@ Dalton!!!!!!!????? I also KNOW there is too much talent on this team to have this record. WCALFAN has chased people away, he's in hiding too! LOL

    The Chipps should start their prep for 4th in the WCAL in wrestling. So many football athletes...so little wrestling. Girls highlight your team......................well...I guess you lost them.

    Waynedale showed speed....but shit their pants. Falcons played Loudonville....whos would cripple the Chipps. Don't underestimate. Tommy W has seen better...

    Beast...is that drive thru still open over there in the creek? Haven't been over that way in a while. That was always my stopping point before hitting Carr Rd. on the way home from Fredricksburg. I miss those days!
