I agree with 1_beast that the recognition is not coming from Waynedale but rather those from the outside looking in. As you can see from their profiles, and from my experience interacting with them in the past, 1486wd and beverboy1 are both Dalton guys and proud to admit it. I just think a lot of us are looking at the talent that is returning and giving those teams some recognition as a result. Would I be surprised if Norwayne won the league again? Heck no! I all honesty, the WCAL is one league where before games are played, there are probably 4-5 teams that look like they could potentially win the league.TheWizard;1637503 wrote:Oh geeze, here we go with the Waynedale and Chippewa talk...the Bears are two years removed from 0-10 and the Chipps were the laughing stock of the league at 1-29. Now after ONE good/decent season from each, it looks like each is thumping their chests. Having high expectations is nice, success needs to be consistent before the talking can be done.
Anyways, all this talk is getting me excited for the fall! I love the cracking of helmets, crisp air, dew on the grass, and Friday nights under the lights! -
Dr. KnOiTaLLAny one have any upcoming passing camps? How have the squads looked this year in the passing scrimmages?

beverboy1i agree that wcal could be a 4 tm race , and i do think my dawgs has a good push to be in that 4 tm race ! we have good senior and soph talent , but we just don't have a junior class support ! :RpS_razz:

1486wdI think the bulldogs had one with northwest and someone else the other day but I haven't heard anything about how it went.

RobBamseyWere getting closer and closer to full pads!! In the words of Bart Scott "CANT WAIT"!!!!!

Agreed! Soon all the talk won't matter anymore. The talking will be done on the gridiron, and we will see who really worked hard in the off-season. Love this time of year!RobBamsey;1639201 wrote:Were getting closer and closer to full pads!! In the words of Bart Scott "CANT WAIT"!!!!! -

Amen to that!! Love the late summer gossip, but nothing like the fall when it really matters!Dr. KnOiTaLL;1639202 wrote:Agreed! Soon all the talk won't matter anymore. The talking will be done on the gridiron, and we will see who really worked hard in the off-season. Love this time of year! -

Speaking of gossip and rumors, word out of Smithville is that a kid ran a mid 4.4 40-yard dash? Any truth to that, anyone?99bobcatdb;1639207 wrote:Amen to that!! Love the late summer gossip, but nothing like the fall when it really matters! -
bobcat14Hey there all you fellow Chatters welcome back!!! Just thought I would put in my 2 cents on whats going on over here in Bobcat Land! So here is the word from the local watering hole , so take it for what its worth........Norwayne's line and the RB Miller will be the key this year, the line has to replaced 1 guy and he will be tough to replace(Weinman). but they do have 2 three year starters back(Steiner and Scruggs i think) and 2 two year starters (the center and I think a right tackle, not sure of names) Miller will be the work horse ala J Zimmerly and I hear they have 2 other senior RB that are pretty tough. QB position is a worry from what I hear they have a soph and junior battling it out with the soph slighly ahead, i hear he has a cannon for an arm and is a tough runner. have not heard anything about the WR spots, which is odd since we are a "spread" OFF. as far as the D goes we have to replace Weinman Beery and Harris and the rest all come back, with the amount of injuries that Harris and Beery had i am guessing we would have some players with exp.
Like I said take this for what its worth, I have no idea if any of this or true or not its just what i have got wind of while having some cold ones.
This cool weather is getting me ready for some Friday Night Football!!! Good luck to all WCAL teams this year as they start the 2014 Season stay safe and stay healthy during your 2 a days. And no matter who is picked to finish first or who is picked to finish last.....ITS WCAL FOOTBALL THE BEST FOOTBALL IN OHIO AND ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!!! -
TheWizardThings get a little more interesting in the Chippewa/Rittman rivalry. Rittman changes their helmet logo this year to the same logo that the Chipps started using last year.

So unimaginative. At least the R logo was unique. Now it's like 100 other schools in Ohio.TheWizard;1640344 wrote:Things get a little more interesting in the Chippewa/Rittman rivalry. Rittman changes their helmet logo this year to the same logo that the Chipps started using last year.

Really? Hard to imagine leaving that kind of speed on the sidelines. There's got to be somewhere the kid could be used, right?scotmich;1640585 wrote:yes its true.. altho i really dont know how much of the field he will see on friday nights..... -

Sounds like a coach had a quick finger on the watch. If that was legit there would be zero question he would be on the field somewhere...Dr. KnOiTaLL;1640588 wrote:Really? Hard to imagine leaving that kind of speed on the sidelines. There's got to be somewhere the kid could be used, right? -
