I THINK he is saying that all you have to do is just "manage" a proven group of athletes and they will win championships. It is really that easy! Heck...if it is that easy then why hire a coach? Save us taxpayers some money....: thumbup:

I just don't think the purpose of forums like this should be for people to get on here and make ABSOLUTELY FALSE statements about our coach.

    Does that make sense?
YOU drop it and it's done! Look I'm pulling for your boys to win it, but you need to lighten up on the posters here, just take it to your tread. Wish you luck, have a lot of family in your district and they have high hopes(c out) things will be okay!

I wasn't sure about this sentence: "Please thou take it to your owe trend."

Are we rocking the Queen's English with the "thou" and "thee?"

And I'm cool with trends and all, but I'm lost at what he was getting at.

I agree with you. The title of this thread isn't BASH THE WAYNEDALE FOOTBALL COACH. But, look at what many of our "fans" do on this thread. We are on the verge of doing some pretty special things over here and people just can't seem to get over their own agendas and hard feelings. There is a reason why coach has made some of the decisions he has made over the last couple of years.

Oregon - Washington State, good game. Florida State gets a lucky win, as they shoud have.

IF you have a poor opinion about this form, why come back? All you do is stir ****. Claim attacks...that arent happening. Hell, in July i think people were all high on Bears. Now according to YOU, everyone is down. STOP THE EFF'N DRAMA. Let us enjoy the season. You have me and others to a point that we dont even want to talk football due to you always being an ***!

Forums as these are meant for talk. Opinions, ideas. coaches, praise, criticism et al, on players, coaches and parents!

    Remember. Jesus still Loves YOU!

WOW! I don't know where to even begin on this one, so I'll put in a quick two cents and call it quits lol. In reference to coaching, or more specifically Zuercher, I think he is a fine coach. He brought them back from an 0-10 season, to a competitive 6-4 last year I believe, and possibly a title this year. Again, didn't see the Norwayne game, but sure sounds like adjustments at half played a significant role in the victory.
I'm not sure if I interpreted everything correctly, but if in fact someone insinuated you just throw the ball out there and watch them win, they are nuts. Case in point, Bohley at Chippewa took the SAME kids that had gone 0-10, or 1-29 and led them to a 9-3 season and the playoffs, and 4-0 this year. Coaching is everything, especially dealing with 14-18 year old kids.
I'll say this, this in house fighting, and bashing, is one reason a lot of people tend to root against the bears. It's a really a bad look. Savor a big win, and if you win in two weeks you'll control your own destiny. I wouldn't care how you win, or who you win with, as long as your winning, it's working!

I agree with Havin Fun, I've been to all 3 scrimmages and do not see how Waynedale can be anywhere near the top of the WCAL this year. The loss of Weaver at QB is too much and the O line is small, young and inexperienced.
Buckz#1;1646936 wrote:Yes you beat them as freshman because half that class at Waynedale was playing varsity NOT Freshman ball. The point I was really trying to make is that Strausbaugh was the QB in Jr High and still should be.
Buckz#1;1654173 wrote:I went back and watched the Triway/Waynedale game. Maybe some of you wise old men from the creek can explain why Waynedale completely changed their defense after the 1st 2 series. We go from blitzing a big LB in the middle to a spread D with a MLB that's barely over 5ft tall. The Bears held them the 1st 2 drives. Why the change?
Buckz#1;1654224 wrote:Were you watching the same game? It DID stop them!
Hunter86;1655768 wrote:It was nice to see that the Bears play someone other than the "chosen 4" that can catch & who actually got some playing time.

He turned out to be a big play maker on both sides of the ball.

How many other big difference makers might we have lurking along the sidelines waiting for their big debut ?

Hard to plan a game strategy being an opposing coach when someone under the radar makes game changing plays.

Keep 'em coming Bears........we have a lot of great football to play this season !

    Great game guys !

Here are a few postings on here from just the last couple of weeks. Is this not bashing our coach? Maybe bashing is a strong word. Maybe I should say questioning...but no matter what you call it....IT IS NOT GOOD! To make it real interesting, I should go back and find some of 1_beast, mountainbear or BETTER YET, eyes r burning postings. There is/has been plenty o' bashing on this forum.

I like your post but I can't agree conpletely with you about Bohley. YES, he has turned them around BUT he inherited a group of sophomores (one of them a playmaker from Barberton) that were very talented. Couple that with some upperclassmen, they had the beginnings of something special. He really wasn't doing it with the SAME players. However, it does take a leader to point them in the right direction and they obviously needed a change at the top.

It IS a really bad look and for some reason, WIN OR LOSE, many of our fans/parents are NEVER happy. They can't just give credit to the ENTIRE program. I have a few theories as to why but....anyways, I can remember a few years ago sitting in our gym listening to our then AD (who we miss) and he said he saw this coming. The "cancer" was slowly spreading throughout our district and we need to somehow change it. Well, I sadly say it is still very prevalent throughout our "supporters" in EVERY sport ,even our state ranked wrestling program (there I mentioned 1_beast sport...think he will like me now? :))

Observer you have no idea how bad it really is over here and you are lucky you don't.

That being said....REPS on your post.

How is this not bashing Chipoewa's coach? And it also sounds like you are bashing our new AD.
Anyway back to football talk. It was nice to see both Riebe and Strausbaugh get their hands on the ball as quarterback.

That's bashing Chippewa's coach? Not at all. Just saying that you DO have to have a leader pointing them in the right direction BUT it ultimately falls on the players to make plays. I have ALWAYS said that on here. I said he has turned them around and they needed a change at the top. I just don't agree that he took that SAME players and got completely different results. Those sophomores were freshmen when they won 1 game. BUT, he did guide them to 9 wins the following year. That is a heck of an accomplishment. Similarly, we went 6-4 after an 0-10 season. During that 0-10 season we played a lot of freshmen and they got better as sophomores. Now you tell me...good coaching or good players. I would hope you would say both but I doubt we will EVER here you give credit to our coach.

Bashing our new AD? Really? Just said we miss our old one. He truly bleeds brown and gold but he is on to bigger and better for him and I wish him good luck.

AND FINALLY....you just had to get your DIG in on our coach....ONCE AGAIN. Do you really think we aren't best with Reibe at qb and Strausbaugh EVERYWHERE else? REALLY? Isn't it better when we can move him around so we keep the defense guessing? When he is split out or behind the qb he really draws attention...hence the reason our other kids can become playmakers. Having him at the "wildcat" position works for a couple of plays but that's it and our coach knows that. You saying we should be in the "wildcat" the entire game? He did have a td pass but that wasn't from the "wildcat". You do remember his 1 pass attempt out of the "wildcat" right? Again, I don't want to "bash" him BUT I really think he is better at rb/wr. Don't you?

Week 5 picks. Should be 3 really great games this week.
Bobcats, I think them at home an coming off a lose is going to much for the Chipps.
Bears, to many weapons for the falcons to handle.
Huskies, I give them the nod at home, should be a great game.
    Bulldogs, nuff said.

Lets keep this a positive place to talk football!
