Observer, I don't expect you to know all of these things but Hunter and beast are notorious for having all the answers to our problems and they will do whatever they can to get in their "jabs". I have invited both of them to sit across the table from Coach Z but when that is brought up....I can't seem to hear or see them anymore. However, there are some fans/parents over here that actually get "it", which provides some hope. OK...I'll stop! I need to be POSITIVE...but my gosh is it hard!Wcal observer;1659437 wrote:And the hits just keep on coming in the Creek! Serious question, why is it this fan base can not get along? Supporters of other programs may disagree at times, but none have as much inhouse arguing as Waynedale. It's as if you guys would rather take shots at one another than even discuss the upcoming game. I just don't get it. -
Wcal observerIt's a shame because you guys have a quality athletic program that most schools would like to have. There are always going to be issues in every program, and no one person will have all the answers. Whether you like Zuercher or not, be glad you weren't like Rittman last year. Things can always be worse. I'm just looking forward to seeing a good game this week played by two quality teams.

Havin FunI'm out of here. Enjoy the bickering guys.

I will try again, this is a forum for opinions (both positive & negative). Nobody here (with the possible exception of yourself) claims to be anything but a fan.
Do you have any inkling how absolutely & utterly delusional you are? Attempting to broker sitdowns between fan and coach?
First, no real coach cares what the fans think about his strategy
Second, no real coach has time for such nonsense
and third, I believe the Bear fans that irritate you by having their own opinions realize that. You seem to be the only one that doesn't.
But, by all means....go ahead and broker imaginary sitdowns and continue to be the self appointed Waynedale opinion police (we should all chip in and get you a little plastic badge you can wear to games)
Finally, this is just high school football. Enjoy the game...let old wounds heal and stop trying to make everyone think like you.
Good luck to you and the Bears -

RED RUM,
Now I will try again...do you have any inkling that I could care less what you think? You don't have the slightest clue as to what is going on over here, nor do I expect you to. I am not "brokering" sitdowns at all. I have simply asked some of these people if they would be willing to say what they say on here right to our coach's face...and guess what I get from them...CRICKETS CHIRPING. With the exception of beast because I do know he will speak his mind but he actually does have somewhat of a clue of what he is talking about. HE is truly the only other FAN that is on this forum. You would think that the coach wouldn't care what people say, however, people that have said the negatives about him on here are actually parents and/or close family members to former and CURRENT players. Let me guess...you are going to tell me now that they aren't being negative around their sons, aren't you? Give me a break! No time for nonsense, huh? You are right, however, again you don't have a clue as to what is going on over here. People on this forum (not beast) actually have been VERY close to recent situations where groups of people have contacted administration at ALL levels to try and get coaches fired. Not just our football coach either. We are talking about coaches that have been born and bred here...coaches that BLEED BROWN AND GOLD!
The sole reason why Hunter and eyes r burning (man I miss him) got on this forum is because they were put in their place, by our administration, when they tried to run to them and cry like babies. They found out real quickly that they weren't going to get very far with that tactic. Therefore, their only other choice was to get on here and sling mud. AND, if Hunter gets on here and tries to say differently...he is simply not telling the truth! Well guess what...I am not going to just sit here and let them do it on here without fighting for our coaches. THAT, to me, is a true FAN! -
Hunter86I never tried to get anyone fired.
I did however, stand up for a group of freshmen players who were soaking wet having stood on the sideline for the first half of a varsity game in uniform, supporting their team in a rainstorm, who were denied a place in the locker room during halftime.
(In a building built by the booster club for the kids past, present & future, not just for the coaches chosen few.)
There was a long standing rule about the non impacting freshmen being not allowed in the locker room at half time, unwritten yes but openly known to the freshmen that you don't go in there. I didn't see any of the opposing teams players standing outside that night, only ours.
I'm sure you're going to deny this, but it was going on for many seasons & backed up by statements from former & current players.
(There was plenty of room inside our new locker room for all players who dressed that night to be inside.)
And yes know it all, it wasn't about my son, but for the other players that I brought it to the attention of our administration. My son was one of the lucky ones that got to be inside.
If you want to see the emails posted here that went to our board members & their replies back to me, they will clearly show the true facts & how future policy was changed after that night, so that all student athletes are treated equally & none will be barred or excluded from the use of any facilities on district property.
This wasn't a witch hunt on your beloved coach who could not possibly have done anything wrong, it was about getting the word out that all athletes are to be treated equally, and from that point on a couple years ago now they are.
I don't have to agree with a coach or his coaching style to be a fan.
Good luck Bears on Friday. Should be a really good game. -

Glad that dont happen to the wrestlers in the snow. Perhaps that may play a part in WCAL, Sectional and District titles...wait...there was a STATE TITLE mixed in there.Hunter86;1659512 wrote:I did however, stand up for a group of freshmen players who were soaking wet having stood on the sideline for the first half of a varsity game in uniform, supporting their team in a rainstorm, who were denied a place in the locker room during halftime.

1_beastIn a nutshell: This used to be a great forum, after JJHuddle collapsed. There used to be a GREAT WCAL following, lots of banter. Good times, bad times. Praising, Bitching. Many things happened along the way. Some inter forum disputes that forced many WCAL followers away. We found a new place to have conversation!
Back to the "NUT"(shell)....WCALFAN, once a reader, took offense and starting blasting EVERYONE that didnt have HIS views or support the coaches decisions/play calling.
This too drove people away and stopped posters from stating their opinion!
I do believe that THEE Waynedale Golden Bears hold the most/2nd most WCAL FB TITLES!

16-29 over 4.5 years is not customary for BEARS Football. Hillsdale, Nwn and Norwhat are punching us in the nuts.
There was a batshit crazy wrestling dad...he drove off all the wrestling talk....since his children graduated, he fell off the earth. Still ruined the local forumd and STATE reputation!
Wcalfan...while I appreciate youR words that I am a true fan, YOU are being the same cancer that killed the wrestling forum. Hell, I dont get on here to talk fb anymore, I get on here to poke you!
And I'll find that pic and post it of our meeting you arranged if you would like....it was lonely! YOU arranged it, but didn't show up!
Hope the boys play great Friday night...but prior to that, our Girls have a HUGE game today! 1st things 1st. They ARE defending WCAL Champs!

I guess I have always thought that if you REALLY believe in your views that you fight for them and back them up with facts. However, what happens on here is that certain people just spew things that have no validity whatsoever. Then I get on here and dispute them...then guess what happens??? They move on and try to find fault in something else our coach does. You know what that tells me? They KNOW they are dead wrong and can't back up their vomit.1_beast;1659531 wrote:In a nutshell: This used to be a great forum, after JJHuddle collapsed. I have NEVER said that our coach isn't at fault for SOME of what has transpired. When people get on here and fault him and him only...that is WRONG! You can have the best coach on your sidelines BUT if they don't have the playmakers...it won't matter! "It's not the X's and O's, it's the Jimmy's and the Joe's". If you ever listen to the college/pro "experts", they say this EVERY WEEK and most of those "experts" are former coaches/players. You know...people that have actually been in the "trenches", so they have a little credibility. Yes, we have a talented group of juniors right now BUT again this is not middle school anymore and we have to COMBINE classes. Unfortunately, here at Waynedale we have not had a good run of classes back to back...now don't get on here and say I'm bashing the kids. It is just a fact and I think you, of all people, would agree with me on this...
Man, maybe I have been an idiot on here if you are comparing me to "batshit crazy wrestling dad"...that one hurts! However, that lunatic also got on forums and BASHED our wrestling coaches and you know it. I am pretty sure people would respond to his rantings and prove him wrong. THAT, is what I am trying to do on here. OK...let's move on and not EVER talk about that guy again...MEH!
GO LADY BEARS! -

Where do I start? Your post is EXACTLY what is wrong with today's parents and you have, ONCE AGAIN, made it easy for me.
First of all, your story is a complete FABRICATION of the truth and you know it! Those "poor freshmen" were never DENIED a place in the locker room...come on Hunter! Do you think that if they would have asked a coach if they could come in, the coach would have said no? Now you will say they are young boys and they don't have the courage to ask, right? Come on...GROW UP! Even at that, they wouldn't have to even ask to go in...they could walk right in with no questions! And you are right, there was plenty of room in there and you should know because you felt you were in a position to just walk right in and start yelling at coaches. I bet your son was proud of you for that one...go ahead say it..."I was fighting for those kids"...baloney you were looking for something to complain about and you know it. That's ok, I have you figured out completely.
Maybe it has gone on for many seasons...BIG DEAL! They are freshman...whatever happened to starting at the bottom and working your way up? Non-impact freshmen really have to reason to be in the locker room during halftime unless of course the weather is nasty and they need shelter. By the way...you FAILED to mention that the week prior to that game those same "poor freshmen" were in the locker room at halftime at Dalton because of crappy weather...and Dalton's visitor locker room is MAYBE half the size of ours.
So you are now a "policy changer" huh? Because of YOU, all of our athletes are treated equally and will not be barred or excluded from use of any facilities on district property...thanks man! Seriously???? Do you really think that was happening? Do you really think that our AD/Administration would have let that happen? Come on!!!!! BEAST did you read his post? Is this guy for real? Man, thanks to him...the word got out..............what a joke!
You are somewhat correct when you said that you don't have to agree with the coach and his style to be a fan. However, you shouldn't get on here or run your mouth about it. Don't you think that is counter-productive? Honestly? Plus, like I have said to you before...even if you never said it in front of your kids...they KNOW your feelings and that affects their performance. -

'Cause I'm not a pushover for you & not afraid to stand up for the kids when I see something that's not right ?
Feelings affect performance ??
Giving 110% and two trips during football season to the ER isn't enough ?
Can't give the team much more than that !
Part of a new school record in spring sports as well, but performance was affected there too ?
You are so far from reality on this one that it doesn't merit any further discussion.
It wasn't 10 minutes from the time I emailed our board members about the locker room issue that a call came in to me (from a person I didn't send it to) already telling me the kids were liars about being denied in the locker room. ( I believe the exact words used were "that you know how 13-14 year old kids are, they're lying, they aren't telling the truth")
There were multiple parents standing outside in the rain that night with those kids who know it wasn't a lie. That statement calls my son a liar as well. (why would he lie about it ? he was inside ??)
The building is for all the student athletes, not just some of them.
And yes I was assured from the board that the issue would be taken care of & would not happen again.

Triway is looking really good this year. A Triway-Chipp match up would make for a real interesting game.
The Bears are gonna tire the Chipps out tomorrow, if the players don't get blown off the field. The game time forecast isn't looking too promising. -

Way to stand up for those kids Hunter...you are my hero! I can't believe you weren't at the least, nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Again...what a joke!
I never said your kids don't give their best and haven't done some good things BUT don't you think they could have done more if it wasn't for your negativity towards our athletic programs? Think of the potential they never realized or won't realize...
I am not saying they are lying about standing outside, but they are lying about being DENIED access to a locker room. Why would they be DENIED on that night when a WEEK BEFORE they were allowed access into a much smaller locker room in the same weather? Do you REALLY believe that?
The fact that you emailed board members about some freshmen standing in the rain is beyond belief. You act like they were being tortured or made to do something that could really cause harm to them. You do understand that when those freshmen were asked their feelings on it, they actually preferred to be outside. Because you do remember that at the time the rain had completely stopped, right??? Do you remember that??? Who is so far from reality now?
(Whispering) Pssssst...Hey, Hunter...I hate to burst your bubble but you do realize that freshmen still stay outside the locker room, right? Now you have something to do at halftime tomorrow night...go do some investigating and report back to me, will you?
Hey, everyone can you not see from almost ALL of his postings on here that Hunter has an agenda??? Come on now!:huh::huh: -
1_beastThe weather forecast for Friday certainly favors Chippewa. Bears can score in a hurry. Will this be another 100+ point game? (getting back to fb talk)
edit: lol hopefully the freshmen are allowed in the lockerroom:RpS_sneaky: -
thePITmanSeriously, about the game, will Chippewa giving up 300+ to one player last week be foreshadowing for this week? Nobody for Waynedale will run for 200+, but if Chippewa's run defense is porous, and Waynedale, can effectively mix in the run, their offense becomes dangerous. Last week against Hillsdale, the Golden Bears couldn't get the run game going. It may be raining; but by the time the WCAL games get started around midnight, the wind will have died down, which is worse for passing teams than rain. Also, Waynedale has played well at home. If they can come to play like they did against Triway and Norwayne (their last 2 home games) and get a few scores early and have the crowd into it, I think they can pull off the upset. But how much of an upset is it, really? The Chipps are favored, but by how much? The vaunted rushing attack of Hillsdale only managed 10 first downs and 13 points on Waynedale, while Norwayne didn't score in the 2nd half. Chippewa runs the ball very well; but if they're forced to throw, how are they in that department?
Will Northwestern be in for a bad match-up against Hillsdale? The Huskies have gotten torn up defensively by opposing offenses that like to run the ball. If Hillsdale finally has an outpouring on offense, is Northwestern's offense going to be able to keep up against the best defense in the WCAL?
Will the Norwayne vs Dalton game be over before the other games get to halftime? Gonna be lots of running the ball in that game. What are everyone's thoughts on this one? Can Miller carry Norwayne? Or will Dalton's diverse attack be the key? Remember, the Bulldogs have a huge line. Can they clog up the middle against Miller and the Bobcats?
Should be a fun week of games, yet again!
