Ya I am already working on that-hopefully they end up playing Genoa who scored 88 points last nite-twice this year in the 80's. should be like old times for me! Maybe we came have a bon(d) fire at the purple pumper! James is invited!!
  • RedRider1
And we showed twice how weak Genoa's schedule is. What'd we hold them to in 2010...6 points? They were averaging like 50 a game.
  • jaco
Are crews working to tear out the turf this a.m.? Only prayer in this one is to play in mud.
  • RedRider1
Nope..turf was looking good last night at the bonfire...guessing a little extra prep this week.

Hoping the matchups work out & we get to host a 2nd or 3rd round game in a smaller division.

And yes Nation..that's as close as we'll get to playoff football this year. Got it. Save your typing.

i would certainly think they had to set some sort of Ohio record this season for most points scored-twice in the 80's, twice in the 70's, and a few in the 60's. yet they will be on the road week 1 of the playoffs so yes their schedule is bad

That says it all right there. They start playing good teams and we see what they're all about. Can't run the ball for 500 yds against good defenses.

Looks like Newark Catholic holds the 10 game scoring record with 637 points in 10 games. I believe Genoa scored 632 this year. Damn coach should have layed 100 on someone!

He's gone from third string running back in week one to "all Tavy, all the time".
It was very similar when he played in Orrville last year. However, despite his successful running in Game 2 vs Triway, Coach Davault seemingly ignored it most of the season and continued to unsuccessfully pass the ball. Finally a coach has recognized his capabilities!

Wooster laying it on the Riders 21-0 in 2nd Quarter! Queue the fat lady!
  • Series62
Wooster 42, Orrville 0...At Half-time! I'm thinking Wooster brought their own fat lady and they're going to hold her down until the end and man it seems like she's going to BLOW!!!
  • Red Rider Nation
That's embarrassing! I am sure the Doug lovers will just say we have no business playing Wooster as they are bigger than us. Glad I didn't make that trip! Way to have them ready Doug!! You continue to impress me! You had me at hello!! Now you can have me at GOODBYE!!! You have to go !

You may not hear from the Rider-Faithful for a couple of days after this 56-0 and counting fiasco!

Worse loss to Wooster in 83 years! Put Davault up against anyone that is a sickening stat! That should not be accepted in Orrville but it is now. I don't get it. This guy is tearing down the tradition that once was RTR! Like I said his inner circle is fading. Guys that support him have kids that either have graduated or will graduate and those supporters will disappear like a fart in the wind!! I know I am over the top guys but you also know I am right when I say this guy has to go you just won't admit it.

And Dyson destroys his old team. Rushes for almost 300 Yds and 5 TD's-Good for you son!
  • BRF
    4-6 was a good improvement.

    Shit happens.

  • Red Rider Nation
    wow!!!

  • Flash
Fire the Wooster coach!! How were they 4-6? Size and speed. Man for man better. Woody Hayes with Urban Myer as an assistant coach couldn't have coached us to a win.

Early in the season... I read several post on here, about how proud you all were, of how hard the team was playing.

But it seems like these kids just had the "try hard" just beat out of them from seven straight weeks of playing superior competition.

When you give it all you've got, over and over again, and realize the situation is hopeless...well, that's when something like tonights game happens.

If Orrville stays in the OCC, your program is only a couple years from being where Rittman is now.

The Bad news is, I don't think we're going to be any better for awhile and it doesn't have to do with coaching. Its this league and a drought in great talent.

Glad you are enjoying it, Orrville resident. (<-that is sarcasm, btw)
"Improvement"...yes it was, he, Coach Davault, improved by winning three more games and by losing to Wooster last year, 35-7 and increasing it to 56-0.

Being an Orrville resident does not "make" you a fan. So...btw your sorry attempt at sarcasm is of zero effect.

Iced Earth, we're still proud of this team and a little surprised early that we did win 4 out of 4. Everyone knew it was going to get a lot tougher after that, but hoped we could win 1 or 2 games. This record was what was expected of this team so they lived up to realistic expectations. Our 7th and 8th graders aren't winning any games, so I think If your realistic you can expect us to have less than 500 records for the next few years. We're hoping to change leagues, but there has to be a league to go to.

Love the excuses! Keep it up this is a good soap opera. I have popcorn in right now so let me get that out and enjoy all the fantasy bullshit! Leagues too big, NONSENSE!! We would have gone 4-6 or worse in the WCAL too so put that one to rest. I saw 2 teams last nite that would have man handled Orrville combine that with Chippewa and we finish the same. Look at the real issue. I tuned in in WQKT at end of game and Mike Breckinridge spoke how he doesn't understand why the numbers are down at Orrville-why are people not wanting to play football at Orrville?

Who was surprised after going 4-0, everyone pretty much knew that Orrville was playing weak teams and everyone knew that after that it would be tougher. Everyone also assumed Madison, Wooster and possibly Clear Fork to be pushovers.

Regardless, the OCC schools were always bigger than Orrville, but while they were winning and had some good athletes, no one complained about the size issue. All of a sudden, they are at an unfair advantage.

Then, the coach's job was easier, now, he has to coach and this is when his "supposedly superior" coaching skills are going to be revealed. I guess now he'd better pull that rabbit out of the hat!

I have no victory or loss here.

If you'd like, I can come over and bring you some tissue so you can dry your tear-filled eyes. I know that butt-kicking is breaking you up something fierce! LOL!
