I'm also sure it's hard to get a good GPA when you have been given a...."scholarship"....and have people working with you day and night if necessary.Al Bundy wrote:

Massillon is a city school, your parochial schools don't have the problems that city schools do, so if you are going to try to make comparisons, it's apples and oranges. Parochials get to pick and choose the players....er, I mean students who are on the team....er, I mean, who attend their school.

Dude, seriously? Give it a rest already. You are not going to win any argument you get into. And if this (Bashing Massillon) is your only agenda, you are a pathetic little man.Al Bundy wrote:

You do not post on any other High School threads, and there are quite a few of them now. So, that tells me one thing. You have no other purpose on the HSF but to get people going into arguments.
I would just quit now, before someone gets banned, again. Just ask Big Al Carter. -

Nice try, that's EVERY kid in public school, from the football star, to the kid who wears the same AC/DC shirt every day and has long greasy hair. On the other hand, if I was paying $10,000 for my kid to go to a parochial school, and that school made, "arrangements", for a kid from school XYZ, to attend my school and pay nothing, because he can throw a football pretty far....I'd be po'd.Al Bundy wrote:

Not that it is really any of your business, but I have posted on other high school threads. All I have done is respond to skank's comments. I posted the state report when the subject of the education at Massillon was brought up. Is posting a state document bashing someone?coyotes22 wrote:

As a tax payer you are paying $10,000 for those kids to attend school. If you are not happy with the results take an active role and contact the school board. Maybe you could volunteer as a tutor if you want to help the kids. You criticize private schools because as you said the kids can get help from teachers coming in early before or after school, parents and other adults making sacrifices to help tutor kids, basically they put in all kinds of work. Nothing is stopping anyone from working hard if they make that decision.skank wrote:

Uhh..when that's the purpose of you posting that report..yeah..just merely trying to bash. Which you failed..b/c you clearly didn't post a 'state report' for the team. Which is what was said. So...post the link to THAT report please.Al Bundy wrote: I posted the state report when the subject of the education at Massillon was brought up. Is posting a state document bashing someone? -

I wish kids nothing but the best, but if the team is getting a high GPA while the school is only meeting 1/3 of the standards, it is very misleading. There was a time in education when some schools went to a 5.0 scale, it was very misleading to compare schools without a conversion scale. If a school only meets 1/3 of the requirements, the GPA's there can be very misleading, and a conversion scale should be used.GoChiefs wrote:

For those of you who think that I am bashing Massillon for posting the state report, what do you think about skank, who bashes another school with the saying under his name, has bashed at least two other Stark County public schools in this thread, and bashed private schools all the time? -

Once again, you fail to understand my point, that's alright though, I'm getting used to it.Al Bundy wrote:

What is my point you ask? Try to follow, I'm paying to educate young people in the public school through taxes, you've choosen to pay to send your child to a private school, that's fine. But did you think that your tuition might be less if the...."scholarships"....for the kid who has only been through your neck of the woods once in his life weren't set aside? -

He does not troll the threads, looking for trouble, or go to THOSE schools threads. You have come here on the sole purpose to bash. If you dont like Massillon, saty the f*ck off our threads.Al Bundy wrote:

Two wrongs DO make a right? Again, as if it were any of your business, the"saying under my name", is directed at another poster who was very similar to yourself, and is very deserving of any ribbing directed his way. Another thing, about the two schools you mention that I bashed, the fans of those two schools have been notorious for comments directed at Massillon over the last several hundred years or so, so before being a hero and defending the honor of EVERY school, check the facts.Al Bundy wrote:
