OHSAA clears Massillon High School in recruiting investigation

    The problem there is why should a coach, or the kids be punished for something that a booster may have done? Oh, and I know it was a mistake, but the OHSAA has no powers over college teams. LOL.

    Phew!! I thought the almighty OHSAA was the one to put the whammy on SMU there for a minute. OHSAA is once again at fault here. They needed to do their investigation, come to their conclusions, and take whatever actions!! You dont leak information about an investigation. Any school is innocent until proven guilty. Unfortianatley, those schools that have been found guilty before, are now subject to most assuming they will be found guilty again. It is just the way it is, if you are guilty of something before, you are guilty by public opinion the next time, until proven otherwise.

    Call it what you want. More ppl are assuming Massillon is a part of this investigation than any other Stark Co. school. Id say Hoover runs a close second. That would be classic OHSAA move to find Hoover guilty, after Erick Howard has played his final game, AND garnered 2 Mr. Footballs.

    IF, and I mean IF, Massillon is found guilty of anything. It is Todd Porter's fault. IF Massillon is found not guilty of anything, Ill say I was 100% wrong!! Until then, you are No more right or wrong than I am!!

    It started before Shepas, but he didn't help the situation. Todd thought that he had privledges he didn't have. He got upset when he got called on the carpet about it. So, like a little girl, the fun began. He was wrong, but he'll never admit it.

    Massillon has been in trouble before, but EVERYTIME there is an investigation EVERYONE assumes it's Massillon. People would be amazed how many calls each week the Massillon Administration gets...asking how parents can bring their children to Massillon. Not all football players either...and not all athletes.

    I'm really not concerned at all with what people think, especially if said people are like you and a few others. And if you think Hoover football would be a "close second" over Hoover Basketball, girls and boys, Hoover softball, and Perry wrestling, you have proven that you are on the outside looking in. But then again, those schools and their respective programs have gotten away with it for so long, on second thought....Well.

    OK, Thanks. That was all I ever asked you before when Skank went off. Im not involved up there, so maybe Porter has a grudge, I dont know. I just always assumed Shepas rubbed 75% of the ppl the wrong way there?

    I will tell you that, a few years ago, a few boosters had a Mansfield kid pretty well lined up, when it was found out by our coach and administration, a call to the OHSAA was made.

    Yea, I remember. You said something about if you give a kid a crayon and a blank piece of paper? You cant tell what they might wanna draw? Or how big, bold print or ridiculous what they might draw or say might be?

    I am confident, but why this statement? "Massillon gets found guilty of any recruiting again? You will wish i was never here." Why would you take pride in rejoicing over Massillons troubles? I mean, aren't you from Dover? Is Massillon football THAT big of a deal down in Dover? Why not just stay on, and or start threads about Dover? Are you that bored living in Dover, that you just have to have your Massillon fix?

    Why would I make a deal with someone from a school that I have zero respect for? If Dover had honored the second year of our contract, despite the fact that they knew another whippen was coming, they may have been able to walk away with a little dignity....But we all saw the real Dover in 05, why not play Cambridge twice?

    He He............you keep it up blaming Todd Porter. The truth will come out soon enough and as a fan of Coach Hall, I sure hope something didnt happen up there with a Booster or whatever!!

    It's under investigation..it's a school in Stark Co. There is a bunch of schools in Stark Co. Nobody has any clue what school it is. I've heard rumors that one of the schools are Jackson. But that's a rumor..so it means nothing. Just like what Massillon has done in the past regarding the matter. It means absolutely nothing now. Worry about it when the truth comes out and you are certain who the school(s) are that are involved. OHSAA investigates crap ALL THE DANG TIME that ends up being absolutely nothing in the end.

    Well, OHSAA doesnt actually invesitgate CRAP ALL THE DANG TIME!! That was a pretty dumb comment. They do not spend the money to investigate every rumor. This has been corraborated by them, and we shall find out.

    You honestly think OHSAA doesn't look into this stuff all year long at different schools? I'd say you're a full if you believe that they don't. Just b/c you don't hear about it..doesn't mean they aren't looking into something. But then again..you're probably right..out of all the hundreds of schools in the State Of Ohio..they just decided they were going to pick on a couple Stark Co. schools at the end of the year to make it look like they are keeping u p on this kind of stuff. Silly me.

    No, I dont think they "look" into these situations all year long!! Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. Some school is getting found guilty of this. I dont know who, everyone can draw their own conclusions.
