  Besancon wanted the job and didn't want to wait any longer. He and his BOE brother then devised a devilish plot , complete with unpopular rubes to be the scapegoats (aka the principal & super)
  
  December
  Horrified that Schrock may have been rejuvenated by the playoff run and worried he might not retire yet.....the usurpers put their fiendish plot into action.
  
  January
  Disgusted at the treachery, Schrock retires. He also stays quiet because he truly is an icon and doesn't want to see the program & village unity destroyed.
  
  February
  Besancon gets job after angry villagers settle down and scam coaching vacancy search is conducted.
  
  
  
  I have no first hand knowledge, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what happened here.....
  If anyone sees it differently, I'd love to see a version that makes more sense.
  
  .....but I doubt anyone will do anything other than call me names and say they have info but can't share it.......that, afterall is the textbook play for covering up the truth.

  You might want to add the girls and boys basketball coaches to the list of names... Board member Besancon is very close to the superintendant also COME ON BOYS lets get the truth out here!! It is just a shame that we knew Besancon had the job last Spring and the boys have been without a coach all winter. Who are we hurting the kids

  I would like to enter 2 known facts into the record for investigative purposes-
  
  Fact 1-- Miyagi was on the grassy knoll near the softball field the night Keith Schrock received his unfavorable suprise evaluation
  
  Fact 2-- I have flight logs & video proving that Keith Schrock was forcibly taken to Area 51 less than a week before his official resignation.

  It really doesn't matter, cause the dawgs will be back in a another year or two and the WCAL will be staying in dawg country for the next 5-6 years. THey have an outstanding group of middle schoolers coming up!

  This is exactly what happen. Heard from a very close relative. I would be ashamed if I was Brent to have people sneak around getting crap on Keith . You could never trust a man like that. He is not a stand up guy and should not be leading a team. How did the true smithie people let this happen. Remember what goes around comes around. This type of stuff makes me sick and not a very proud Wayne county guy.

  I agree with beast here, we dropped the ball on this one. The office of The Commish apologizes to the Bear's Wrestling Dynasty for not rallying the troops. Good luck the rest of the way Waynedale.

  I disagree, I believe BB needs to distance himself from the old guard as far as possible. I think if he picks up some formr Schrock assistant coaches, fine, but he needs to restructure the staff to put his own stamp on it.
  
  And, by the way, ref.....EVERY school has an awesome middle school team. It seems to be a trend around this site.

  The Smithville situation is unfortunate at best, but they'll be alright.
  
  The real concern for WCAL fans should be Rittman & Chippewa. Does anybody see improvement in the fortunes of these 2 programs?
  
  personally, I'm inclined to give Wolf another year or two to get that house in order.
  
  Rittman, well I'm pretty biased in my views against their coach, so I'll stay quiet on that subject for awhile.
  
  
  Looking to next year, Norwayne should be good, but I think some are underestimating the impact the loss of Wallace will have.
  Hillsdale, Waynedale, Smithville, Northwestern & Dalton all should be decent.
  
  The days of the big 3 have passed, this league will be wide open again in 2012.
  
  
  p.s- on "dropping the ball on Waynedale wrestling support. That is a yoke the rest of you guys have to bare/Bear. I've been on the pinstriped poop & pee colored train since sectionals.
  I am guilty however of not knowing anything about the Lady Smithies, who I hear are primed to make some tourney noise.
