They are going to have the Falcon Bell. It worked last time!JHS PRIDE;992449 wrote:Yea, that might help alittle but your RBs would be just fine, mabe you could borrow are band.
I wonder what the Bobcat players thought. I saw a lot of them look "Like What The....!" -
TCBShould be plenty of offense! Kenton and Hartley are on another level for D 4 programs. Frankly, Kenton will be the best team Norwayne has ever played, and Mauk the best player they've ever seen. That said, Norwayne's style of play serves them well. They can put up points with the best of them. This game is going to come down to turnovers and defensive stops. I've got Kenton by two touchdowns, but would absolutely not be shocked to see Norwayne pull off an upset..especially if they can hang around.
-
thePITmanIt comes down to points per possession, not time of possession. A 10-minute drive ending in a punt or field goal is NOT as good as a 2-minute drive that results in a touchdown. Kenton is averaging over 4 points per possession in the playoffs and 7.6+ points per touchdown (with their 75% 2pt conversion rate over the last 3 games). Norwayne needs to do whatever puts them in the best position to score points, not chew clock. If they find a way to score TDs while also burning up time, then even better!
Go Bobcats!
O-Trap, how many tickets do you need? -
oldwildcat_65I am a Kenton fan and came here to tell you not all of us are a$$es. Most of us love our team and respect the game. We get a little cocky because we are a small town in a small county and keep producing quality football teams. Not just Kenton the other small schools in the county play good football. This may be ouy last GREAT team for some time.
Where do you park at Massillon to tailgate? We are definatly tailgating and don't know where to set up. I have made two calls to the field manager but got no return.
I hope I can make a prediction without getting into too much trouble:
Kenton 52 Norwayne 14 -

Finally someone on here with some damn sense! Now you are talking. This prediction is right on. -

Hey 1_least i know what it means. I was just amazed he was saying in 12 minutes and 10 seconds Kenton was HELD to 30 points. I would say that in this time that is pretty damn amazing. In other words they scored 30 points in a quarter. WOW!1_beast;992489 wrote:http://lmgtfy.com/?q=held -
RedRider1Always plenty of seating in the endzone and this game won't sellout...get your gaggle together and sit together above all the NW fans. This game won't draw more than 11,000 and that still leaves several thousand seats.
As far as tailgating, there's parking behind each side of stands...get there early and stake your claim. -

Perfect example of predicting a blowout respectfully. You shouldn't get in trouble with that.oldwildcat_65;992648 wrote:I am a Kenton fan and came here to tell you not all of us are a$$es. I disagree. This game will be the biggest draw out of the 6. Locals from Stark county cant wait to see mauk in person. I know of about 60 people already going. Kenton has a large follwing too. This game will be a packed house. Wayne county will bring 7-8000 and the rest will be people within an hour drive that want to see mauk in person. -
O-TrapRRN, I think you've got a point. Mauk has the appeal that transcends fanhood. People who don't care about any teams still in will want to see a holder of multiple national records.

oldwildcat_65Thanks RedRider1, hope to meet some new friends from NE OH. I come fishing in your area often, Portage Lakes, Mosquito, Berlin, & Rayland Pool. Hope we have a good game with no one hurt.
-
O-TrapIt'd be cool to combine the tailgates so we'd get to meet some Kenton OCers as well as more Wayne County OCers.
What time should we plan on tailgating starting? -
thePITmanI will be tailgating/parking behind the visitor's stands (East side of stadium). So from 172 (Lincoln Way), take 20th Street SE south, through a few stop signs, and then the lot will be on the right, on a slope. Here is an address you can punch into the GPS to get to this lot: 332 18th Street, Massillon, OH
I'm getting tickets for: Me (1), Ringz (2), O-Trap (2), Big Falcon (4), and who else? I'll be getting a few extra for anyone else that wants to sit with us. I can always sell them at the gate. -
THE4RINGZI will be there say around 1:00? I have to drop my daughter off to her Christmas play then head over.
-
oldwildcat_65We plan on arriving about noon. We usually set up a dish and a couple TVs to watch football & eat. Sadly no OSU this week but there are other teams playing. If we can get together that would be great.

Sounds like fun! I sent you a PM. We can try to coordinate our tailgates and join your TVs with our grill, etc.oldwildcat_65;992737 wrote:We plan on arriving about noon. oldwildcat_65Thanks, Found you tailgate lot on Google Earth. See you all Sat.
RAH RAH FOR KENTON -
THE4RINGZI struggled at the begining of the season with Norwayne, I thought they were over rated, and maybe they were a little over rated, just enough to get into the play offs. Now that Week 11 and beyond is here, I thnk this team has some magic. They have come out and slayed the dragon a couple of times. I think one thing keeping Norwayne alive is their belief in themself. I don't think they have recieved the memo that they aren't so good.
One thing I don't understand is why there is so much ill will wished on this team. These kids have worked hard all season and have earned the right to be playing this Saturday. I have become a temporary Bobact fan during this run, just like I thought everyone from the area would. Just like I would for any team from Wayne County or Eastern Ashland County if they were making a play off run. You know I supported Orrville last year on their run after Week 11, no different then what I am doing this season with Norwayne. -
Tigerplantfootballnut I agree that this game is not going to be a blowout. However the fact that Kenton has won 14 games with the second toughest schedule in D4 speaks volumes. Sure Norwayne will be on their best game for this event but I still say if you have key players playing both ways you are in trouble. There have been 14 other teams that have thought oh that won't happen to us because we have great athletes.......just follow the numbers and look at their great players in game film.....it don't lie! Norwayne will keep it close but Kenton wins this game.

Only the first half of my post should have been moved to that forum. The second half was completely relevant to the discussion here. -

Ah, sorry about that. I was trying to get it all with one pass, and I didn't read through enough of yours. Not sure if I can splice posts anyway, but let me see if I can bring it back.THE4RINGZ;992832 wrote:Only the first half of my post should have been moved to that forum. If not, you could copy/paste it, I suppose. -
O-TrapThere! Spliced it the only way possible.
