  • THE4RINGZ
I guess one of us (you) will be proven wrong come Saturday night.

hasn't been much to cheer about for six years or so, but having seen a ton of these games, Wooster's side will be packed. both sides always are.
  • Mike Plant
    I didn't say they'd be paying attention:D
  • RedRider1
Wooster always brings a crowd to Orrville....let's worry about Orrville filling our side.

I beleive in the 2004 game the pass was a little behind the receiver and the receiver slipped trying to stop for the ball. Also that was the game Wooster ordered the fog in the first half to slow down hiller and company.lol

I hope you do prove me wrong.

There's a very good chance Apple will be needing 2 tickets for this game. Sounds like the best bet will be getting seats on the Wooster side????

We went to the Massillon-McKinley game in week 10 in 2010. Looks like it's Orrville-Wooster in 2011.

Where is the best tailgate gonna be?

Here is an example of how the old school die hards over here view the game. I can say to my wife ( Class of 1988 Wooster High School ), at any given time, "what we gonna do tonight?", her response, "beat orrville." Not so sure that chant is so popular any more in the 44691.
But the class of 88 and 89 got beat by Orrville! LOL

Driving around town, North and South ends. There is nothing in this town, that would let you know it's Wooster/Orrville week. Whatta a frickin joke of community support.

    GO Speech and Debate....

Thanks, full throttle, but I have to make a small correction - after this many years in the business, my blood is more the color of printer's ink. Once you get to know coaches and players from different schools, the only thing you root for is close games (unless only one area team is playing). I am, however, a huge WHS Speech & Debate fan.

Hope everyone checks out our HS Football Insider this week on the DR website - we're going on location to the annual captains luncheon, plus a lot on the big WCAL game. It should be posted sometime Thurs. evening.

Sounds neat. Great work all season, Mike.

I've enjoyed those video clips going over the games for the week. Keep up the good work!

I am very interested to see how our defense does against Anderson this Saturday. He is the best running back we have seen since the Copley game. In addition, their quarterback throws a good ball and is mobile when he needs to be. I know the defense is our strength, but it should be a great challenge for us as we prepare to fine tune things for week 11.

Nice luncheon today hosted by the Wooster Exchange Club at the Schmidt Hall Pavillion. All the Senior players from both teams were in attendance and all introduced themselves and gave a brief bio. Catered by Omaha Bob's...good stuff. Good idea to get the niceties out of the way early in the week haha. Go Riders.......lucky #7 in a row!!!!

Just to set the record straight about the '86 game. I was standing on the goal line with a brace on my knee standing on crutches during that last play. Paul had the ball across the line by at least 2' before he hit the ground. The problem was that the official was way too slow on getting to the goal line and he basically had to guess. He guessed wrong. The worst game I remember was the one at Wooster, I believe in 2002, when the official was blowing his whistle pointing down to the ground that the qb was down as he was running in on the last play and after a 3rd effort and the play was completely over he stuck the ball over the line and the official changed his call on the way in. You can actually see him pointing down on tape. Those 2 games add to my complete and utter hatred of Wooster.
  • THE4RINGZ
So orrville got screwed out of two victories by the officials? Typical.
