Week 4: Campbell Memorial (3-0) at Brookfield (3-0)

cmhs_prideWork with kids all around the area fellas. I trained three former Brookfield players this summer who are all playing small college ball. Very good athletes and great kids even more. I do not like when those representing their town make their town look bad when I know the majority of the kids are outstanding young men and women. Brookfield kids are no exception. Good kids. I wish the majority of them good luck. As for the two Einsteins on here....hope no players saw your remarks. Probably should erase your moronic posts.

reddevil90Feel bad if it is. South Ranges coach that spouted off a not so nice comment that got over heard payed the price. This team has started to carry the term Knuckle Heads. But hell there our Knuckle Heads. And i like what I'm seeing from the team. But they need to be a hell of a lot more aggressive early and often. There going to need to be arrogant and also very aggressive soon. week 4 and week 7 are not that far off. I'm not trying to look past this week but guys this Girard team might be our only Gage this season before playoffs.

The "can of worms" was mentioned at the gridiron club meeting tonight. Coach Sikora says we'll do our talking on the field.omemorialhigh;893777 wrote:word is out cmhs...you put something on the internet you open up a whole can of worms -
OhioIts only Monday :/ Hoping for a great game to watch Friday weather is suppose to be great football weather 55 at game time.
-
Spread All DayIt's pretty pointless to make a big deal about kids trash talking over the internet. If you think Campbell kids don't do it you have another thing coming lol. That's the nature of the game. I'll go as far as saying there are kids from campbell that post on this site as well. No point in trash talking. Say it on the field.

If they get a scheme to try and get around Campbells speed i will be impressed. Clark has always had great schemes for liberty during the Gillum and Fitz eras so it will be up to the players to execute the scheme. As for their offense they do have a big back 44 who can pound the ball not as good as mosora but he can get the tough yards behind the big OL they have. 2 recievers around 6'3 and a playmaking TE who is about the same size as the recievers. To be completely honest lookin up more and more into this game i see it being alot closer then alot of people may think. Brookfield returns basically their whole team who gave campbell fits last yr is this Campbell team better then last years? Yes they are but its also a better experienced Warrior team. I see this game coming down to a big play and i see it coming one of 2 ways rushton with a defensive score or a big defensive play in the warrior territory or patton having 1 or 2 huge plays which could spark the devil team in more ways then one. All said and done as of Tuesday at 12:02am i see the Red Devils 28 Warriors 20reddevil90;893492 wrote:Ah who ever it is posting better watch what there asking for. They just might get it. I am bias about my team. I would be the first to say we have issues and this game could go either way. But this team "and i know i sound like a broken record' is the best team since the 1990 red devil team. The Talent is just deep and to be extremely honest SICK. There is weapons in every phase of the game for them. I knew they were going to be good on offense. But what I'm trying to get people to understand is there defense is what is making Campbell the complete package. they are not a average defense with a great offense. There Defense is just that good. they have had there moments but they stiff up and hit like tanks. They cause turnovers and they stop the run and the great surprise is there CB can hang with anyone in the area. We might not see another Devils team like this for another 20 years. And the best part is that if they would have played in all of 3rd and 4th in the first two games they would have scored a ton more. Liberty from what i was told had a decent Defense but no offense.
Brookfield will not be a blow out. I even know that much. But they better have more then just a good offense and a good running back. Campbell is very hard to run on and pass. I say the game is close . Campbell 28 Brookfield 13. -
oldschoolreddevThis game is huge for playoff points for both teams. Let's face it both of these teams aren't playing the hardest schedule. If you look at Region 17, Kirtland, Cuyahoga Hts, are gonna be there along with at least 2 ITCL teams. Rootstown, Barnesville play weak schedules and should get in. I know Rootstown still has to play Mogadore but 8-2 may get them in. Then there is Ursuline with a ton of give points games on the schedule. So, we need to be at least 8-2 to get in. We need this game badly.Good luck Red Devils!

reddevil90Brookfield will hang around for the half. But i just don't see them scoring a ton on Campbell's Defense. And liberty had a decent defense and could not stop the Campbell speedy offense. People got to understand this team in not a one man wrecking crew. there is at lest 3 other backs that can do what Ja'les is doing. That is also including his Brother, Shawbdale Ray, Hughes x2, Johnson, and Smith. All can carry the rock the distance. And then you add the x factor that has not been giving his due. QB Reyes. The kid throws the ball better then any QB i have seen. he will only get to showcase his talent when Hughes is stopped enough. But we have Receivers that catch balls all day long. and a extremely accurate QB. along with a very nice size offensive line. Brookfield will be a close game. But if Campbell cant get at least 2 tds up at the end i will be very disappointed.
-
oldschoolreddevI don't give a crap if it is by 1 or 101, I just want a victory! I will be disappointed if we don't win. This will be a big test for our defense. We are up against a team with supreme confidence in itself at home. I want to see if we are up to the challenge!
-
cmhs_prideI hope we do just that.....talk with our ability on the field. Like to hear the coach say that. We cannot let this team take our focus of what needs done for four qtrs by posting stupidity on a web site. Like I said....I bet their coach got word of this because guess who has not been back since their previous posts a couple days ago. I am glad our players refrain from such action. There is no room for that on here from a current player. Shut your mouth and do what you think you are going to do on Friday Night.
Campbell players I hope you go into Brookfield and honestly show respect to your hosts. Respect their ability, respect their fans, respect their coaches...........
AND THEN POUND THEM INTO THE GROUND.
:mad::mad:
See you guys friday. You have a safe week. -
cmhs_prideDidnt realize my post was this far down the thread. I was referring to a post from other page. Good Luck Campbell.
-
omemorialhighactually i dont see any campbell kids posting on here, half our kids dont even have computers! so i think to assume campbell players are on here is wrong. no evidence whatsoever. also, yes our kids trash talk but for the huge bad wrap we get im proud that theyre keeping their mouth shut at this point. if it was campbell kids talking trash were just a bunch of thugs, but its brookfield so we say ehhhhhhh everyone does it. lame excuse Spread All Day.

BigDean1I'll say it again: an opponent cannot emulate speed in practice. Brookfield has watched film and they've seen some of the things Campbell does on offense. They can line up their scout team offense in practice vs. their first team defense. But they cannot emulate Campbell's speed on offense. They will not realize how fast Campbell is until they actually line up against them on Friday night. Campbell will show a variety of different looks on offense. When Campbell runs the spread, their athletes should be able make plays as long as they execute. Ja'les Hughes is more than likely going to get his yards. This game will come down to defense. If Campbell's defensive front four controls the line of scrimmage like they have in the first three games, the Red Devils may win this game easily. The front four is not only big, they are fast. Big is one thing. Big and fast is a whole other story. Campbell's entire defense is quick. But should they get out of position and don't stay disciplined, Brookfield could make it very interesting. Brookfield runs a little option. And it will be interesting to see how the Red Devils defend it. Ultimately, I do believe Campbell's team speed will be the deciding factor.
-
reddevil90I agree with Dean. Campbell's football teams have always had some great athletes. Even in the 20 years of down time. I seen a lot of waisted talent through those years. Tons of them. Some have left cause of poor coaching decisions. This coaching staff is the best in over 20 years. The defense is the pleasant surprise out of all this. We have had some real nice offenses over the years. But we had defenses that had no ability to tackle hit and cause turnovers. This starting defense in 3 games gave up next to nothing. 3pts total for the starters. That has not been heard of in 20 years. And they played against a very well disciplined Wing T offense. If the defense is real we will find out Friday. I don't think we will pitch a shutout at all. But i don't think we will give up a lot. At least i hope not. I trust the offense will put up enough to win it. I am going to say this. Campbell can only be beat by Campbell. We played East in a scrimmage and gave nothing up. second string gave up the td. And east has one hell of a defense and has shown that through the first 3 games. they have not played slouches. and we scored relatively easy on them. its going to take a good win against a quality team like Brookfield before we start getting respect. and then we have this game coming up in a few weeks against a very talented and very well coached Girard team.

OhioNobody is not giving campbell respect just some people including yourself is giving brookfield none what so ever.
-
OhioIf you think about it a couiple years ago Brookfield and Campbell were both in the same situation trying to get a couple wins both playing harder schedules at the time with Brookfield being the smallest school in the TAC and Campbell being the smallest school in the MAC. I think its great that both programs have progressd as much as they have either way this is a seeding game both schools will be in week 11 this year.

Okay. I do not need to get into this discussion with you or anyone on here. I forgot it was 1990 and Campbell was a beautiful town with nothing wrong with it. Damn i keep forgetting.omemorialhigh;894698 wrote:actually i dont see any campbell kids posting on here, half our kids dont even have computers! so i think to assume campbell players are on here is wrong. no evidence whatsoever. also, yes our kids trash talk but for the huge bad wrap we get im proud that theyre keeping their mouth shut at this point. if it was campbell kids talking trash were just a bunch of thugs, but its brookfield so we say ehhhhhhh everyone does it. lame excuse Spread All Day.
Stop Hughes you stop Campbell. Not saying he'll be stopped, but if he is... watch out. -
omemorialhighSpread you dont make sense, what does accusing Campbell kids of being on OhioChatter have to do with it being 1990 and Campbell being the center of the universe? Just be honest, your comments had no factual evidence and were a reach at best. Spread Im not trying to beat you up over this, but I actually know who every Campbell chatter is on here. None of them are teenagers. I just think your accusation was unfounded and immature.

Reddevil90. Nothing against the guy at all, he just keeps saying how the red devils arn't getting any respect when i think everyone around the area has given them respect.... But giving Brookfield zero respect in return. You give respect where its due. If Campbell does start out fast it could be a long night but saying its going to be a blowout against a team who returns everyone from last yr and played campbell tough last season i dont get where you can't give them respect.BigDean1;895030 wrote:Ohio, just whom are you referring to? -

I can't speak for anyone else. But I for one have respect for Brookfield and for any team Campbell plays. I am sure the Brookfield community is really excited about this game. I keep telling my friends that they had better get to the stadium early because if they don't it's going to be hard to find a seat. From my perspective, this is the biggest game Brookfield will be playing in since their days in the TAC-8. It's a big game for Campbell Memorial too. I have no doubt that Brookfield is going to give Campbell its best shot on Friday night. And believe me, Campbell is aware of that. They are going to bring it too. I am always careful when posting on these forums because the players and coaches do read it. These are kids we're watching play football. They are not college players or NFL players. It's all about watching some good football and the memories that these kids will cherish for a lifetime. Win or lose, I enjoy high school football always.Ohio;895037 wrote:Reddevil90. I am actaully going to this game for the fact that its suppose to be a good game and not going to the first struthers game in 2 years..... cause of the fact they should beat up on liberty in a boring game.... Sometimes it seems too many people wanna be too involved with the team when they have to realize its high school football upsets happen more often then at any level. If Brookfield plays their game and keeps campbell off the field do i think they can win? Absolutley its going to be how the "KIDS" perform and execute on that particular night.BigDean1;895058 wrote:I can't speak for anyone else. reddevil90LOL what ever Ohio. Don't put words into my mouth. I Respect Brookfield. I know they are campable of winning any games. Your the one in another thread stated nobody in the area in div 5 can hang with Ursuline. Thats no respect to Campbell. We will have to wait and see this Friday. and then week 7 then the playoffs. Who the heck knows. I know that Campbell has a team that went 9-1 last year with a defense that was below average. and the offense on this team is a lot better. and so is the defense. Brookfield is better also. Just got to wait and see how it all plays out.
-
OhioThis game is alot closer then Campbell Ursuline are you kidding me? Thats just a fact and i beleiev that everyone on here would pick Ursuline 10 out of 10 times against Campbell unless its you. Arn't you the same person who has said he hasn't even been to the last 2 games? You're serious right now?
