  Design of shirt may have been done before Smithville game..... ..bad move......actually, shirt should say, Beat Falcons for 3 way tie for first...still ok and it will have to do, but not priceless.

  Sorry Beast, I have got to start wearing my glasses all the time! I misunderstood the pm. Lol. I am very surprised that the Norwayne fans have been so quiet this week! The bobcats are still a very good team! I know that eating a little crow is not easy but, over the years I have had my share! I have a theory, I think most of the "Bragging" on this site is done by high school kids and they embarrass easier than us old farts. I guess we will have to start saying "Bobcats Sulk"

  I typically dont do a lot of posting on here. I like to give game updates after the games but for the most part stay silent during the week. I would like to share a couple things though. I spoke with a friend last night who's son is one of Norwaynes WR's and a DB. He had a big game last Friday night in their loss to Smithville. My friend had shared with me that he went down by the fence where the teams exit after the game. He wanted to catch his son and tell him to keep his head up and that he was very proud of him. He told me that he was stunned by some of the things that were being yelled out at Norwaynes team. Even more unbelieaveable was how many of these things were being yelled by adults. Now we all know that the people posting on here will blow right by this post and not comment. It seems that blasting Norwayne has become the thing to do on "The Chatter". It amazing that the actions of one kid, who is a fool, can draw so much attention from people but grown adults acting like idiots and cussing at kids is acceptable. My friend was not the only one that told me about this in fact somebody else actually commented on it a couple pages back and , as expected, mostly everyone ignored it. My friend thought it best to let it go. He said he used it as a " teaching moment" with his son. If I'm one of those Smithville adults, and you know who you are, I'd be embarrassed. Maybe we should find out who you are and run you through the mud on here. Maybe we should smear the whole town of Smithville because of the actions of these people. What do you guys think? We won't do that because we know that would be foolish. Not everyone from Smithville is an idiot.....just the ones standing by the fence yelling obscenities.
  
  Everyone from Smithville is an idiot and gets off by screaming at teenage boys and all of Norwaynes football players are bad examples and should all be thrown off the team.
  
  By the way. The young man whos father I was talking to is a fine young man. He spoke very highly of the Smithvilles players. I did not hear one negative word from him. He's friends with some of them. In fact, I think a couple of Smithvilles players are his cousins. The young man I spoke with is not the type of kid many of you are trying to make "Norwayne " players out to be. In fact, he's completely the opposite of what you say.
  
  Next time you get on here and try to make an entire team pay for the sins of one or two kids, maybe you should think first. Every team in every town in every state has a few bad seeds. Grow up a little people.....or go stand by the fence in Smithville

  I was there for this, and though I didn't hear any profanity, I was immediately behind the loudest of the bunch, which I mentioned in a couple posts.
  
  The first thing that came to mind was, "You idiot! Act like an adult! Win with class, and don't make Smithville fans out to be belligerent morons.
  
  I even turned to my dad, who was behind me, and said, "I guarantee someone hearing this one guy is going to paint all of Smithville like him, just like people have been painting the Norwayne team like #22."
  
  I genuinely wanted to turn him around and deck him. These were young men, teenagers. They went out on the field and tried hard. Most of them didn't make stupid statements or show disrespect to the Smithville team. The ones mentioned by the rogue DB aren't guilty just for being mentioned. The man was yelling "X-FACTOR!" repeatedly. Did the young man labeled the "X-factor" by his teammate say that? No, so I see no reason to rub it in his face after a loss. He did nothing wrong.
  
  I'm sure you know that, but the point I'm making is that MOST of the Smithville fans ... even ones who stand by the fence, like me ... know this too.

  He has been raised well, and his parents should be proud.

  Every team's fanbase has its fair share of fools. I heard a Norwayne one in the restroom at halftime (saying something about Smithville "cheating" and that being the only way they could beat Norwayne ... the man obviously doesn't understand football, so I took no offense).
  
  I hope the young man you're referring to recognizes that adults who hurl insults at high school kids ... guilty or not ... are nothing more than village idiots, and should be pitied and seen as pathetic.

  I know Smithville's JV got beat pretty bad on Saturday morning. Pretty sure Norwayne had a lot to take out in that game.

  I assure you that I didn't take offense. I was voicing the same frustrations, but from a different perspective.
  
  I played under Schrock as a high schooler. I remember that we were taught the importance of discipline to a football team. I was taught to love and crave excellence, but to achieve it through self-control and that same discipline. I remember almost every minute from 3:00PM to kickoff on game days being scheduled, and that much of what we did was rooted in the traditions stemming from great teams that played before us, and that strict adherence to these traditions was part of our development of this discipline.
  
  All in all, so much of Smithville's tradition was rooted in this discipline and respect that it irks me to no end when I see fans of this team, who would claim to be long-time fans, showing such a lack of respect and discipline.
  
  To me, when a person acts like this adult did, they ruin their reputation as a Smithville fan, because they exemplify the opposite of what Smithville football is about: excellence through discipline with respect and class.

  Well said O-Trap! When Adults act like this, it is much worse, because they should know better!!! The reason I attend High School atheletics, is because it is athletics in it's purest form. If I wanted to hear profanity spewed all night, I would go to Browns game!! I hope the idiots that did this will wise up. I am sorry that the Norwayne players had to hear this from some Smithville people.

  The offenders are way worse than the kid, he hopefully will grow out of it, the adults obviously will never mature.
