Me too, and it's ridiculous that it has come to this...

One would think that with those stats and accomplishments, all of you great Orrville fans would have nominated him by now!

So, is the answer so ridiculous that it has come to this? If the answer is that he has been nominated and declined the nomination, is it that difficult to say so?

    Explain this comment!

And after that, if you or anyone on this blog/forum knows, explain what is the reason why he isn't in the HoF.

Series..He has been on the ballot twice I believe, just hasn't received enough votes from the panle to get in. How they haven't voted him in is beyond me...he deserves it and earned it!

...I will explain by saying that using facebook as a way to express your frustration for not getting in the HOF is fine, but last time I checked Facebook has over 500 Million users. Probalbly even little Orrville has some people on the voting panel that are of the 500 Million...Im sure things were said that were not...well lets just say...were probably not well received from folks on that panel!

According to my documents...2011 was the FIRST time he was nominated.

With a moniker of "riders1", one would think that "YOU" would have nominated him on every opportunity! Why haven't you, you obviously have access to thee document?

Perhaps Facebook was the best medium to express frustration and get their attention. Perhaps now it's Ohio Chatter! Is that the reason so many of you remain silent on the issue? With all the visits and "trolls" the Orrville site receives, is it not pathetic that with the "great" Orrville athletic tradition you don't want all those visitors and "trolls" to know that one of your best athletes can't get nominated or even voted into it's own Hall of Fame?

The fact that a deserving player was either not nominated or voted for by all on the voting panel speaks to the shame that they should have had just as much as the frustration the player may have had.

It won't change your misguided perceptions one bit so what's it matter how I voted.

If you must know...he got my vote...and will again in the future. Renauld too....and hopefully someday your son for his accomplishments on the track.

Hopefully when he becomes eligible, a family member with intimate knowledge of all his accomplishments will step up & be a part of the solution & nominate him.

    :-)

Good cred to our program given in Dorksen's article today.

    Indeed. Tradition matters.

Hearing Mason was named LB MVP at the Ohio St. camp yesterday. Matt Davis received special mention honors at LB too.

being an observer at the OSU camp (albeit a biased one!) Mason and Matt tore it up. Most of the coaches there said Coach D has no excuses with arguably the best LB tandem in Ohio haha! Seriously, those two represented our program very well. About 100 or so Linebackers there from all over (1 from Hawaii).

I know it was in jest, but this is the sort of expectations this years team should expect...and hopefully accept.

10-0, an OCC crown & another deep playoff run will all be mentioned. Like it or not... Fair or not.

dang that is a lot of players. Who won MVP?

There were three MVPs named for the lbs. OSU verbal committ Josh Perry from Olentangy, Luke Roberts from Lancaster and Mason from THE Orrville Red Riders. There were also 2-3 "special mention" guys. One of them was Matt Davis from The Orrville Red Riders! yeah!
Expectations are good...."pressure is a privilege" when an Orrville Red Rider I don't care what the sport. Tough schedule out of the gate. NW has one of their better teams in a while, Copley has all their skill back, Lex has three D I recruits and transfer Deon Bellamy the speedster from Clear Fork. we get a couple wins from that group and we are on a good start.

Lots of talent will be on display at Red Rider stadium this year. NW, Lex & Copley will all bring solid teams. Didn't know about Bellamy xfering to Lex....that's just one more bullet in the chamber for them.

It's fair week in Orrville....and that just means we're real close to the start of football season.
