They get fake money to bet on games on Ohio Chatter? Why would they get that? -
Con_AlmaMy AD believes from the meetings he's had that the solution will be in the form of a multiplier and it will be in place after the next two year divisional restructure.

You think those kids are catholic? yeah maybe a few .....password started the discrimination BS in his comment I quoted .... Its just crazy .... Ursulin and Mooney are all star teams they aint catholic schools ..Not on the football field ...
So you are saying that blacks can not be of the catholic religion and only whites are allowed to be baptized catholic?
That is really messed up dude. -

I'll say it again...how funny would it be if they put a multiplier in place and Mooney and Ursuline stay in Divisions 3 and 5. THAT would be absolutely hilarious.Con_Alma;566265 wrote:My AD believes from the meetings he's had that the solution will be in the form of a multiplier and it will be in place after the next two year divisional restructure.

Be careful. He gets worked up when you call him out on his ignorance. -

It's highly possible. If I'm not mistaken, at the last realignment, Mooney was D3 by 1 student. I don't know what the figures are now, but if they dropped by a few boys, that puts them back in D4. The multiplier would put them back up to D3. I would laugh so hard! -

A few less...."academic" scholarships, and they very well could drop a few boys. To quote the worst President of our lifetime....Strategery. -

It isn't only ignorant, it is a false statement. There are more non-white Catholics than white Catholics.password;566268 wrote:So you are saying that blacks can not be of the catholic religion and only whites are allowed to be baptized catholic?

skankI believe he was refering to African American Catholics....Not "non-white" Catholics.

And maybe if your school "doesn't have enough room" for a couple more open enrollment students, you could drop down to D2 and then you won't have to play all those big bad Private schools that you're so afraid of. -

The really ironic thing is that it is public schools that beat his team in playoffs every year. They have lost to 1 private school in the playoffs in the last 9 years. -

I object. It's cheap entertainment watching skank step on his dick so much. Let it roll!coyotes22;566176 wrote:Id say this thread has now ran its course.

Afraid of? Funny. One of the smallest DI teams in the state, in the last decade, we have played:
Ignatius 10 X
St Ed 3X
Day. Cham Jul 2 X
Benedictine 2X
Elder 1X
Moeller 1X
Ursuline 2X -

You'd like watching it wether I'm stepping on it or not. -

I never said your AD was afraid to schedule them. But you seem to be really afraid of them based on how you want them in their own playoffs so you don't have to play those big bad private schools. -
dover2092If the Cleveland Browns had to recruit from the Cleveland city limits only, and all of the other NFL teams drafted from colleges across the country, would it be fair? ....of course not. That is the argument public schools are making. No one is afraid of playing Catholic schools; it just isn't apples to apples.

Unlike your school, these kids leave with an education that can help them
Go back and stand at the corner by McKinley and see how many kids you can steal this year...
And still lose -

I'm pretty sure that skank IS actually afraid of the private schools.dover2092;566517 wrote:If the Cleveland Browns had to recruit from the Cleveland city limits only, and all of the other NFL teams drafted from colleges across the country, would it be fair? ....of course not. As coyotes pointed out, every public school in the state has the option to go open enrollment. As an open enrollment school, they can attract players from anywhere. Why penalize a school like Mooney or Ursuline because students around the area WANT to be a part of a winning tradition and decide to go to Mooney? Why penalize the schools because parents would rather send their kids there so the kids have a better chance at getting college scholarships?
Want to make it apples to apples? Go open enrollment. Work hard. Get the right coaches in place to build up a program which will attract students. And quit bitching. -

There are certain public schools that are drawing from multiple states. Ironically, some of the their fans have done the most complaining about private schools. -
Rocket08....or go to Massollin, steal transfers
And still go 0-40 -
dover2092sherm03 - that is fine in Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland. I'm talking about the rest of Ohio.
Can you honestly say that Strasburg (Div 5, village population 2300) vs. Ursuline (Div 5, unlimited enrollment for top athletes from across the state) is a fair, equally matched contest of coaches' and athletes' ability and dedication?
C'mon..... -
sherm03
I can see your point. However, is it fair to force Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas (Div 5)...who can probably count on one hand how many times they've even made the playoffs in the last 15 years...to be subject to a multiplier and have to play up in Div 4?dover2092;566533 wrote:sherm03 - that is fine in Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland. All the complaining centers around 2 separate factors: Mooney/Ursuline...and the big name Div 1 privates. A multiplier does nothing to the D1 privates...so the whole thing comes down to Mooney and Ursuline.
People are seriously considering changing the rules and affecting every team in the state because of Mooney and Ursuline?! That's absolutely absurd.
And I've asked this before and haven't gotten an answer. Let's say Mooney and Ursuline each move up...and they continue to go deep in the playoffs every year. What's next? Do they have to go with a higher multiplier? Where does it end? -

So, that settles it,,,,,,,,,, I have it!!!!!
We dont need separate playoffs for ALL the Privates in the state!!!
JUST Ursuline and Mooney!!!! Each year, they play a best of 7 for their own championship, while the rest of us play in the playoffs!!!!!
