Big difference between speculating on what would happen vs. an outright distortion of fact, don't you think? Still waiting on the names of those Delphos "all-stars".

The contents of any letter talk about the great features of a school that starts with a religious culture, academic excellence, social activities, athletic opportunities, music and art. I get the Kettering Schools newsletter every couple of months, as does every resident of Kettering. Nothing wrong with any of that.

oops my bad. I forgot to mention the jr lives 90 miles away from Alter. I also forgot to mention the jr has interest from multiple D1 colleges. :shrugs:

They didn't play....Therefore, the answer doesn't exist....Bottom line, Sorry, you're the one who made the rule, the least you can do is follow it.

Fine, I'll stop and deal in facts only. You do the same and provide some proof of your allegations of creating. Bet you don't.

Just high school and college. Sorry, didn't have the size, speed, or talent to play beyond that. Bet you were a star, though.

My fix for queeny....."Sorry, didn't have the size, speed, talent or brains to play beyond that".

Almost true, as in D-IV Hartley only lost to Elyria Catholic and Ironton this year. Weirdly enough, at least to the whiner brigade on here, nobody in Ironton is complaining to see Hartley as state champs. They won the game by 3 TDs and beat Ironton by a TD a couple weeks ago even though Ironton beat them by 3 TDs earlier in the regular season. Guess why the difference in the two games? Was it because Ironton is from a poor southern public school and Hartley from a big-city parochial school? Nope! It's because in the first game Ironton did in fact shut Key mostly down and forced four fumbles and made no errors. In the second game Key got somewhat back on track, Ironton fumbled twice late (after five in the prior twelve games). Hartley's coach, who seems to be first-class, made some nice adjustments and mixed up the backs more and had obviously been doing some homework. All the same stuff Coach Lutz did the years he beat folks like St. V-M and Mooney and DeSales in playoff games. It's what you do to win. In Ironton today they're celebrating a great year and taking their hats off to a terrific Hartley team. Being classy rather than thinking of how Portsmouth Notre Dame and Cardinal Strich have an unassailable advantage. I'm sure their doing the same thing at Kenton and Versailles and Orrville. Face it though, we are drifting towards a victim culture, where folks look for reasons somebody else (who is working hard) has it too easy. Maybe Jerry Springer or another daytime TV guy could do a segment on why publics 'can't win.'

I think "we all know" why publics can't win.

Or better yet, maybe Maury Povich could do a show on who the kid belongs to.

Because they're beat before the game even starts from the "no fair" attitude?

When everyone starts play'in by the same rules then and only then will people like myself not have an agenda. Game on.

Maybe so, here's your chain reaction

Ursuline goes out and recruits areas (and beyond) talent
Word gets out as to how good they are going to be
After a couple of games, they destroy everyone, with said talent
    People begin to take notice
They destroy the remaining portion of their schedule
People are REALLY noticing their talent now
People begin to think that, despite being D V, Ursuline can beat anybody, IN ANY DIVISION

Now, go up and replace the word Ursuline with YOUR choice of Private school, it's universal, it works in all ways.

Still waiting on proof that it works for Delphos. Where is it (again, remember where I taught you what the word rhetorical means)?

OK, then explain Delphos. 100% of their kids are local. Clearly, you'll need to find a different "unfair advantage" for them. What is it?

Not much, just high school and a little college. Here's the funny thing...I lost twice in the semi-finals to those eeeeeevvvvilllll catholic bastages too. I'd think that someone from a school who has proven that publics can compete quite nicely with the privates would be far less whiny. Guess not.

OK...let me give it a shot.

Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas goes out and brings in students from surrounding areas
Word gets out how they are going to be.
After a couple of games, they are sitting at 2-3.
    People begin to take notice.
They play out the rest of the season at 3-2.
People are REALLY noticing their talent now.
They don't make the playoffs...AGAIN...and spend another post season at home.

Wait, that doesn't fit skank. I thought you said ANY private school would fit your mold and that it's universal.

    Let me try again.

Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joe goes out and recruits areas (and beyond) talent
Word gets out as to how good they are going to be
After a couple of games, they are 2-3.
    People begin to take notice.
They finish their remaining games 2-3...with an overall record of 4-6.
People are REALLY noticing their talent level now.
    They don't make the playoffs.

Damn...it didn't work again. What am I doing wrong here skank?

Here's what I propose, remember the NFL Europe? On the uniforms of the players they wore the logos of the NFL team they were affiliated with? That's what we should make the parochials do. A kid from Ignatius, he was recruited from Brecksville, he wears a Brecksville Bees logo on his jersey.
