Is it time for private schools to have theyre own playoffs in football
-
skankI'll bring it to the front page for you all.
-
sherm03Since skank refused to answer my question about the new Massillon football player on the Massillon thread, I'll post it here:
I don't care what the reasoning is that put the kid in Massillon. The only people that should be concerned with why he ended up at Massillon are him and his parents.
BUT...had this kid's dad taken a job at a hospital in Youngstown, and they chose to send their child to Mooney or Ursuline...would you feel the same about the situation skank? I highly doubt it. You would, without a doubt, make a post talking about how he was recruited.
Quit blaming private schools for doing the same thing your school does. -
skankI didn't refuse to answer your question, I requested that you bring the question over to this thread, where it belongs, and you did....Good boy. Now, to address your question, No, I probably wouldn't react the same, history would probably be the reason. This is the reason there needs to be a seperation.

So...basically, this answer should read:skank;1123492 wrote:Now, to address your question, No, I probably wouldn't react the same, history would probably be the reason. This is the reason there needs to be a seperation.
Good to know...No, I wouldn't react the same because I'm a huge hypocrite and I will continue to blindly accuse all private schools of recruiting without any basis whatsoever while I defend my school for doing the exact same thing. -

If you looked at the history, you would see that Massillon has been on probation more than anyone else. Their own fans refer the team as the "best team money can buy". There is currently a push by some of the fan base to put an end to hosting all of these combines to try to bring in top talent from all over the country. So much focus is placed on who can be brought in the off-season program suffers.skank;1123492 wrote:I didn't refuse to answer your question, I requested that you bring the question over to this thread, where it belongs, and you did....Good boy. A hypocrite would be if Massillon had players living in homes....OWNED BY THE COACHING STAFF. Or, renting....Short term....Apartments "near the highschool", and a Massillon fan complained about parochials doing it.
That's not the case here, Massillon is not allowed to get away with that stuff. Apparently, parochials are. -

Massillon fans take pride in the fact that they have the resources help families find jobs and homes to move them in. That is why many Massillon fans refer to their team as "the best team money can buy". Their is currently a huge split in the Massillon community if these practices should continue. Many argue that it is part of their heritage dating back several generations. The other side of the argument is that programs that win on a regular basis have the same core group of kids from 9th grade on. As the program as focused more and more on the combine, they have neglected the current players to the point that they couldn't even qualify for the playoffs in an extremely weak region.skank;1123775 wrote:A hypocrite would be if Massillon had players living in homes....OWNED BY THE COACHING STAFF. skankHey Molin, is this you from "that other" site? You know, when some questioned SS's DI playoff history.
We've been in D1 a whopping three years! How many D1 football titles does the mighty St Johns have? You are aware that a space goes after a sentence? I guess they skipped that on Airport Hwy. Question for you since you're so high on your johnnies. What do they have returning? It seems that you are a little bit butt hurt that Whitmer has beat St. Johns at their own game? I remember a few years back the johnny faithful were on here crying after they got handled by Whitmer in the TCL consolation game. You all were whining that you needed to bring in more talent. What did that get you? You haven't beat Whitmer in 3 years. Ignatius, St. Ed's, Mooney, Ursuline, Watterson, Xavier, Elder, and Moeller are the true private school powers while St. Johns is parochial lite. How can a private school go 7-3 and finish 16th in the region? Thank goodness you all dropped Woodward off of your schedule.

#1 highlighted comment....An structural sentence lesson? I thought that was frowned upon?
#2 highlighted comment....Whitmer beat St. John at their own game? What game is that?
#3 highlighted comment....Nothing needs to be said here.
#4 highlighted comment....Why wouldn't a private school be able to go 7-3 and finish 16th in their region? Why would that be unacceptable?
Looks like maybe you're finally seeing the light. Or....are you a hypocrite who uses the argument when it fits your needs? -

Nope, no stalker, just swung by "the other site" and saw a contradictory post and thought I would ask if it was you....That's all. -

If you're gonna be such a dick you should get it correct. It's A structural, not AN structural.skank;1167283 wrote:

You're definately a stalker. If you understood the context of the thread and any of my posts regarding SJJ fans and their ridiculous posts you wouldn't think that it was contradictory. But you don't, so I don't expect you to understand nor am I wasting my time to explain it to you. You take this too serious to copy and paste what I wrote on another site. You used to annoy me but now I kind of feel sorry for you.skank;1168508 wrote:Nope, no stalker, just swung by "the other site" and saw a contradictory post and thought I would ask if it was you....That's all. -

First of all, I thought you said it was tl and that you dr? Seems we find you on this evening to not only be a hypocrite, but also a liar. Sorry dude, irregardless of the context, you contradicted everything you stand for over here. And then to try and rationalize it all....Sad, just sad. -
sherm03
Adding the prefix ir- to a word like regardless (which is already negative) creates a double-negative. Basically, irregardless is the incorrect form to use. And despite its appearance in some online dictionaries...it is a nonstandard word and is not considered proper English.skank;1168630 wrote:First of all, I thought you said it was tl and that you dr? Bottom line, one of your own has gone astray, but I'm guessing you're going to deal with that in house. It is none of our business how you handle it, but just remember when you do handle it, he threw your precious untouchable parochial schools under the bus. -

I don't even know what you are talking about. Since I explained it approximately 8 posts back from your last one, if you don't know what I'm talking about, I think there's a good chance that you may be the retarded one. .
All your hard work convincing these yahoos that parochials play the game above the board is for naught because of one rouge member of the PPG.
I love it. -

I saw the post you are referring to. That does not explain what the hell you were talking about when you posted about "dealing with it in house."skank;1168938 wrote:Since I explained it approximately 8 posts back from your last one, if you don't know what I'm talking about, I think there's a good chance that you may be the retarded one. .

skankSherm, you may have already handed down your punishment to rmoron, so this may not affect your decision, but he also said this about TSJ, "they need to send out more flyers". Now, I don't know what the pbg handbook says, but I take it as him implying that parochial schools aren't on the up and up.
It's in your hands now.
At least he knows that the Whitmer/Southview scrimmage is the first one, "always has and will be." -
sherm03
Lots of schools send out fliers...public schools included. There is nothing against the rules in doing that. You are trying WAY too hard, dude.skank;1169184 wrote:Sherm, you may have already handed down your punishment to rmoron, so this may not affect your decision, but he also said this about TSJ, "they need to send out more flyers". Skank, as a fellow Massillon fan, you are able to appreciate how small some schools think by sending out fliers to prospective students. At Massillon we take more of a large scale approach. While the small time programs are handing out fliers that my reach hundreds of students, we are using our connections with Nike and ESPN to reach millions of prospective students. These small-time programs are inviting dozen of student to their camps, while our Tigers tried out over 1,200 students at our combine. We are the best in the state at bringing in student-athletes. We have tried out kids from at least 6 different states in the last two months. What program in the state can compete with that? When we have a need to fill, we have the resources to bring in a kid from 2500 miles away. When we need a stud lineman who lives up the road, we make the family an unbelievable offer to land our guy. I can't help but laugh with any program that thinks they have a team that belongs on the field with our Tigers. We are already planning the parade for our 2012 State Champion Massillon Tigers.skank;1169184 wrote:Sherm, you may have already handed down your punishment to rmoron, so this may not affect your decision, but he also said this about TSJ, "they need to send out more flyers".
