Is it time for private schools to have theyre own playoffs in football

If you knew anything about our coach he is not afraid to play anyone and he has an ego to a fault. Our AD now that's a different story. But guess what we aren't complaining about seperating the playoffs or who we win or lose to you are. We have also beat Akron Hoban on our way to a state title on your field. It hurts I know. Maybe if you all weren't a one trick pony with no tricks you wouldn't be so hell bent on having seperate playoffs. We have state titles in other sports as well. If our schedule was so weak how did we finish as the #4 seed? While you all were 12th?

THIS years schedule....How many of those games have you played yet? NONE. Your coach may have balls the size of watermelons, that doesn't change the fact your schedule is a joke.

How has your team fared since you started playing big boy football? Zero playoff wins and two losses to public schools.

Yet we aren't complaining about seperating the playoffs. Keep deflecting though.
  • skank
I believe the deflection began with you and your boy, "coach" Landusky.

Wait until your school makes it far enough to experience the Ignatius', Edwards', Moellers' & Xaviers of Big Boy football.

Of course that would mean getting out of week #11 in DI, which has obviously been a tricky situation for ya.

    Good luck brother.

Why not? Schools bid on kids every year. The quality of your product clearly both attracts and pushes away certain types of kids. Bid away I a say.

I believe the OHSAA should permit him to play if he "rent"s an partment near St. Ignatius and not if he allow him to play if he lives in a coach's home near Moeller.

    Parochials.

    Gerry Faust did it.

People are nuts if they don't do it. Schools should be constantlytrying to attract student athletes to their system.

    Mission accomplished with the parochials.

In our three years of being D1 we're doing just as good as mighty Massillon so I think we're headed in the right direction. You guys have always been D1 but have no title to show for it. While Big Brother has 3. I know it hurts.

Isn't it ironic to see someone cry about other schools bidding on players when his own school has players from all over the country and hosts a combine for kids to come and workout?

Oh, so YOU guys made the DI State Semi Finals in 2009 also huh?

Exactly, we have ALWAYS been DI, we have ALWAYS had to play big boy football, we haven't had the luxery of being one of the biggest schools in our division.

I'm convinced you're brain dead....Or Rocket under another screen name....Same thing I guess.

Do you understand the meaning of host?

host - a person who receives or entertains guest at home or elsewhere

I can use it in a couple of sentences for you too.

Massillon currently hosts many athletes from Oregon, Canton, Ravenna, and places all over northeast Ohio. If you would like Massillon to host you for the rest of your high school career, come try out at our combine.

Ok, you used punctuation, we'll rule out Rocket. I guess that only leaves brain dead.

What has Hilliard Davidson done to be able to compete with the big bad privates?

It's nice to see that some families actually pay for their own transportation instead of taking taxpayers money.

You should do some research before posting such stupidity.

This is not taking anything from HD, because they have a great program, but they are worse than YOUR school in the fact that THEY have only scheduled one (1) parochial school in the last ten years, the school? Toledo St. Francis. In the playoffs, they have only played two parochials in that time, losing to St. X, and beating Elder. So, I guess if you want to call beating the one parochial they played in the regular season, and splitting with the two they have played in the playoffs....OVER A TEN (10), YEAR SPAN...."competing", yeah, they're world beaters.
  • rmolin73
They played who they were matched up to play and won two titles in the process. Also dip wad aren't we talking about the playoffs? So leave your schedule BS at the door. Heck big brother has won 3 titles playing whi they are matched up with. I know it hurts to see teams hoisting the trophy on your field. Like I said stop being a one trick pony and maybe it wouldn't hurt so bad.
  • skank
Oh, I see....When you asked, "what has Hilliard Davidson done to be able to compete with the big bad privates", you were talking about their impeccable 1-1 record vs the parochials.

    I understand now.

    Nice try on the save.

    FAIL.

That would be a good place to start. Of course in your case you just throw out the competition. What happens when you still don't win a title? Change the divisions?

    As a side note:

Mooney's schedule this year includes St. Ignatius, St. Edward, Warren Harding, Boardman, and Fitch. Try that one on for size Skanky!!!

Dip wad? Frustration? If I were in YOUR shoes, I'd be asking others to leave Southviews schedule out of it too.

No, we throw out the illegal competition.

Dude its the internet I don't take it serious enough to get frustrated like you do. Southview is a new D1 program we figured it out in D2 and we will figure it out in D1. While Massillon is fading into obscurity. One question though how has big brother McKinley been able to win 3 titles? You all can't beat the public schools to make it to the privates.

That would mean removing yourselves as well. Wait you all aren't a factor at all.
