What kind of remark is that? I am nobodies lap dog . I played for Steubenville . Who did you play for . I keep asking you wont answer.Art Modell;506421 wrote:He never played. He was Reno's lap dog. If you know what I mean. -
QuakerOatsIf Salem wins out I think they would finish 3rd, although that assumes a Minerva loss to Louisville in wk 10.
Fun to talk about, but still a ton of football to be played and just about anything can happen. -

For some reason I just don't picture you as a football player....did you see the field? and what year(s) did you play for Big Red ?Thinthickbigred;506860 wrote: I played for Steubenville . -

I really don't think Minerva will lose to Louisville this year.. I really just don't know if Louisville's defense can stop our offense this year.. So i think Minerva will finish 3rd in the region -

While the home game is great and all, it doesn't really matter, regardless of who wins the 4-5 and 3-6 matchup, they are almost certainly facing elimination at the hands of Steubenville or Marlington. -

Not as worried about the exact seeding as much as making sure that one doesn't end up in the 7th or 8th seed, and thus subject to an early dismissal via Marlington or Steubenville -
GoPensCould be interesting if Salem and E. Liverpool play week 10 and then again week 11.

TheQI'm sure teams are happy to make the playoffs no matter where they end up in the top eight, but it would be nice to be at home or close to home (except for travelling to Marlington or BR this year for week 11). A 2.5 or 3 hour trip to the Columbus/Zanesville area is pushing it a bit. A Quakers/Potters week 11 match-up certainly would be interesting (at Salem of course!).

Would be; especially in Salem, both times. -
pooterHere is why I say Salem doesn't jump EL if EL wins next 3 and loses to Salem; I got my pencil out and replaced EL w/ Hubbard in Salems schedule... Salems only loss... Thus making Salem undefeated... Their avg. is only 12.6833........ONLY 0.90803 better than EL as of now... Looking at the rest of both teams schedule Salem plays 2 teams that EL already beat and IF Salem beats them those teams become a wash... That's leaving only a DIV team and EL to generate points... EL on the other hand has a DII team left which won't bring huge points... AND they have a DIV team if we can beat them that will bring a lot of points and a DI team that will bring a crap load of points if we beat them..... BUT we must first take care of our house...

I think the key here is that beating East Liverpool is going to bring the Quakers A LOT of points, in a week where the Potters will be getting none, and though John Marshall will be a nice cushion for EL, I'm pretty sure that if Salem wins out we'll be within the point yield of our week 10 match up. -

You sir get a big chuckle and a laugh from me on that one...I graduated from Wintersville in 89' and doubt that you would've knocked my bock off..LOL
on topic, alot of the teams in the top 15 play each other so there is still alot to be decided in this region...Steubenville will be the favorite to come out of this region and everybody else will just be window dressing. -

True. Anything can happen with four weeks to go. But we can dream, can't we? That's half of the fun!Thinthickbigred;507929 wrote:ool..... Sheridan...Salem...Licking Valley...Minerva .. CaturdayzDrew Pasteur projecting Marlington finishing ahead of Big Red. Though he is assuming a 10-0 Marlington and Steubenville losing to Ursuline

GoPensWhats up with E. Liverpool? Seems like every game is a close 1 score game. Beat a very, very bad Chaney team 30-22

It doesn't seem like it, it is. The largest margin of victory was 9 and the game was still closer than that. The Potters seem to play to the level of the competition until the game is on the line then they take it up a notch. I don't know how long that will last but after the last few years us potter fans will take it.
