  I like Barnhouse ,but its like that one particular Big Red team is now forever enshrined in that painting . i would have liked to see some old faces like C.Jones and Puck Burgwin , and a few other greats rising over the stadium in a mist ,with the Big Red playing a game

  No! It was a slap in our face. EVERYONE knows that when you introduce our band it goes like this "THE BEST BAND IN BUCKEYE LAND" That is what Thinthickbigred was referring too. I have not seen one negative post towards IC band till your slam. Oh and by the way if your post WAS in the form of a question you should have used a ????

  And as for "hijacking," sorry. I realize Big Red supporters don't like to discuss anything where their record cannot 'prove their points' but the 140 kids who work hard to support Creek's team, win or lose, deserve recognition too!
  
  I am not trying to be rude, I am just wondering why people can't congratulate a group of kids without putting them down by saying "good job, but you're not as good as..."

  No shouting match here. Just some great PRIDE !!!!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOOO !!!!!!! Hows that for shouting . Who wouldnt want to be a part of a marching band that gets to play on field for an extra 3 to 5 weeks a year ? Not to mention play for a team that gets all those extra games . LOVE THE RED MAN !!!!!! This time of year is the best . You guys can take your vacation at Disney World I plan on a visit to the Pro football hall of fame in early Dec.

  If you cant tell I am just having fun then what does that say about you? I am far from serious on the matter of the battle of the bands . All I have done was brag up our side , I havent once put down IC band or taken a personnel shot on this subject until fired upon . you band guys are wrapped to tight for me . Cant you guys toot your own horn without insulting another band or person or group ? I can .

  It's funny because my gripe with you is the exact same. When everyone else congratulated a group of area kids for earning the opportunity to represent their school and the area on a much bigger stage, you had to say "Big Red is better but..." Was there any need for that? That alone was the ONLY reason that I even said anything about anything! Until that point, when YOU brought up Big Red's band, the talk was all about Creek's. So no, sir, we were not the ones who drug your school into it- you were. I know someone said you were 'quoting the band's opening line' but it was still uncalled for.
  
  I have nothing against you personally, or your band, or Big Red for that matter. I just do not like when a group of KIDS cannot be congratulated without SOME reference to no matter what they do, it won't be as good as...

  This is gonna be a tough two weeks for Steubenville against Massilon and then against Ursuline.. They lose both of those i think Marlington takes over the number 1 seed because i dont see them losing any in the regular season.. But those two obviously finish 1st and 2nd in region..
  Then i see Minerva making there way back to the number 3 seed in the region.. and idk about the rest of the region because there is a lot of tough games to be played and im still unsure on a lot of the teams..

  If Salem and EL win out before they play each other; we could be talking about a battle for a home playoff game! I know it's too early to think about that with so many teams still in the mix, but it would sure be fun! Salem and EL have never played each other with so much at stake for both teams. Both teams have a lot of business to take care of before week ten with a couple of tough teams still on their schedules. One week at a time!!

  I want to win out!!! NO DOUBT!!!! I'm solely basing EL's 2nd level points on Zanesville who still plays a DI, 3 DII schools, John Marshall a DI school, if we win will be huge they should have 4 DII, 1 DIII and a DI win and YTown East has 2 more DII schools left they can win. Ferry will win a couple more and If we get by Oak Glen that will be huge 2nd level... Struthers and BL are a wash if you beat them.... Again I'm only counting where our second level points will be coming from if we win... BUT, we were picked to lose against Zanesville, East, Ferry and Struthers, I guess that's why they play the game.....
