Guess you didn't notice those Black Stripes or that Black helmet...

Last night before game sitting with student section there was 5 Golden Bears in lettermen jackets that came up and sat down. One of our students walked up and told them ( if you aren't here to cheer for the Riders you have to move) it was so funny seeing them tuck their tails and move. What made it even made it so funny was it was a Girl who made them move. LMAO Got to luv the spirit!

    GO RIDERS!
  • Old Rider
I personally find those remarks by our student section as RUDE! Who cares where they sit...they paid.

i would have told that girl to kiss my @ss and stayed put!
  • RedRiderPower
At 6'4 I guess you can sit where you want...

As far as rude pfff take that into the wind. There were Triway, Dalton, West Holmes, Mas. Tigers, and even Lexington kids all sitting in the student section--and guess what? They all cheered for the Riders!
  • Old Rider
Glad to hear we had followers from those schools...

It was just a jab...TECHNICALLY....Under the State website Orrvilless School colors are RED AND WHITE.....

and I TRY to support local schools and I prefer Orrville over Wooster...but Donkeys like you are a JOKE. I Agree with the poster that followed your post...i would of told that girl to kiss my...

i also kept Orrvilleqb08 updated last night, since hehad to work.....noy just a casual observer....a fan of the sport

on that note...i may visit 5knots RV this week to enjoy the playoff game. Met OrrvilleQB08 friday night and of course my friend BRF is always good to see....but WHERE should I sit?
  • 5knots
From the looks of the forecast the RV may be a good spot pre-game. Snow/rain showers with a high of only 37! probably a game time temp of 32. Time to break out that Running game! Glas we have options.
  • OQB
1_beast thanks again for those updates...

As for the other schools at the game...great to have support outside the Orrville city limits and it is appreciated!

Do I see an O.C. party at the RV Friday night?? Haha

WE did break out the running game. About da#@ time. 3 for 15 with 2 picks and 1 TD is not exactly a passing clinic. Anybody know what that would be for a QB rating?
  • 1_beast
The way Mason ran last night...it makes NO SENSE to me that DeVault (davault??) hasnt utilized him more this year. I guess that is why we are the armchair QB's...perhap he was saving him for the playoff run...an added dimesnsion that opposing teams dont have much of a scout on...
  • OQB
    ^^not a very good one....Haha

But as long as our run game can produce like it did last night it won't matter. Kyle just has to be efficient.
  • OQB
it all depends if he lines up at rb or fb. when he runs at fb he has no lead blockers and carries guys on his back runs hard, but watch out when he gets a lead block and a seam..... Simpson, monheim, And Turner need to be the focal point of the offense and how can we run the ball with them.

Yea I know Donkeys like me make people like you sit in parking lot....

Must have hit a nerve for you to make it personal. I just found it funny is all and so did the rest of the adults around that section. Maybe I can help you find a seat this week you'd enjoy being around a whole herd of us...Donkeys that is....
  • OQB
He was around this donkey Friday night....Haha
  • BRF
Sooo...O-villeQB had multiple text update guys? 1_beast: were you at the game? If so, sorry I missed you. It would have been great to shake hands with ya at the 100th! As far as the kid thing, there were multiple gangs of little Generals coming over to our side to give smack, especially when the score was 28-3! How dumb is that? That might have been a preface to the remark made to the Golden Bear fellas. The cops stopped several of the groups and sent them back to the other side. BRF was particularly ticked off at the group of young'uns passing a nerf football around on the track right in front of his already limited site line. A word to our cheerleader advisor got that taken care of. I guess, as I get older, I am more and more irritated with the growing number of little kids that run around like chickens with their heads cut off at games, bumping in to us older folk! End of rant.....for now!
  • OQB
I get tired of weaving around all the kids as well just trying to go to.the restroom facilities. Gets annoying, and then they Look at you like You're in their way!

BRF Yes I had you, 1_beast, Ringz, and Arrowgrad who all sent me updates at different times I liked hearing the different view points of the game. Thanks again guys, it was killing me making burgers, ice cream cones and dealing with all the old people who come to DQ every day! I wanted to be at the game!
  • BRF
You are quite the multi-tasker, O-villeQB! Did you take part in the Malone "guys walk around the track in high heels" thing that I read about in the BJ? Speaking of the BJ, nice coverage on our game....as in nothing! Kudos to the DR!
  • OQB
The only thing I do at Malone now is go class! Haha they do a lot of weird things there and I am just ready to be done.next fall....getting out of there early.

Go Riders;530202 wrote:Well I definitely fit the armchair qb description to a tee. I really never felt bad about it until it has become clear this chat room does not like/tolerate anyone being an armchair qb or better yet seems to always think the comments should be taken as personal attacks. Criticizing the decisions of the coaching staff/ player decisions has been to me and always will be limited to football related decisions nothing else. I believe they are all great community/family involved individuals and never question that. I always was under the impression the purpose or at least majority purpose of this forum was for armchair qbs to vent. I erased my posts so those offended can be at ease. The content of the posts seemed correct to me. I'm not sure what the point of the forum here is. If you can only say positive comments and very very limited criticism at best it loses my interest because I don't really want to post about what to eat, where to eat or bad grammar in a post or limitless reflection on Rider football history. Until I read that being an armchair Qb in this forum is acceptable I guess most of my typing is done. I'm sure my critics will be more than happy. Great guys on this forum that post I know many of you. We have had a few good series of armchair qb ing that were fun. I guess there is a fine line at what is over the top when posting.

I believe the original question was why is it called armchair quarterbacks and not called armchair coaches and from there it was assumed that someone wasn't allowed to be an armchair quarterback, well go right ahead and be open minded , don't hold back:)

That quote is a week old. I think I have been open since then. Ha Ha

I believe you are "a day late and a dollar short" on that comment. I made a post about why it's called "armchair QB" and not coaches, if you would care to go find that one, too. Go Riders was just a little frustrated, BUT got the Green Light from BRF! Ha ha ha! Go Riders: enjoyed shaking your hand and the quick chat last night! Maybe I'll get the chance to shake hands with Rider1 sometime.

I'm sure Riders1 was just trying to get a reaction out of GoRiders....:D

Really? How are you "sure"? Just about all of us regular posters know who each other is in "real time". So if we have a problem, we all know that you would be able to say whatever you post to their face.
  • OQB
Haha he likes hiding behind that name.....
