5knotsget yourself a Red T-shirt, send some of those big boys from da' bers' over here and we'll have ourselves a county all-star team just like Stubenville. I have plenty of red T-shirts if you need to borrow one. The cupboard never has to be bare!

Yeah, yeah! . People seem to get quite a kick out of reading how we Riders react to "darts". But we hold our own, as Larry David would say: "Pretty, prettty, pretttttty good"!OrrvilleQB08;500481 wrote:We gotta have someone to talk to. On another note: I found the article in the local paper from 1917 describing our first win against Wooster. It will be the subject of my next Orr Views story. And then, two weeks later, I am going to feature the 1964 game (that little BRF attended over at Mauer Field). Pretty, pretttty good stuff! You will like! -
5knotsI am pretty sure on SNL it was " da' bers' ". Got a chuckle out of the note. Wife was a little puzzled why a man named "beast" was leaving me notes? I'm still workin' that out. haha

5knotsHilarious man....hilarious.

1_beastThe thing i like about Orrville is they are the Ryders...reminds me of Ralphie in "a Christmas Story".....(5 knots can be the dad gettin the leg lamp, QB08 can be Ralphie and hmmmm BRF can be the mean ol Santa that boots Ralphie down the Slide.)
EDIT: I use an inconspicuos smiley INSTEAD of a LOL -
Old Rider1_beast....and are you the red headed kid that gets his arss kicked by Ralphie? Or Ralphie's buddie that is dumn enough to stick his tounge to the pole cause everyone told him to?

Try finding paper and a pen/marker in a school parking lot 15 min before a home playoff game........Beast gets an A for effort!!!! Whatta ya say Boss?
EDIT: Beast might get an 'A'...but what does 1_Beast get -
BRFWow! First off, my head is spinning trying to read all this stuff and respond! I see that 1_beast added to my quote about "1917" that it was my freshman year. That is funny! I am almost ROFL!!!!
Well, I wanted to say thanks to the posters that remember the old "Niagara Falls......slowly I turn, step by step" schtick. I had doubts that anyone would know what I was talking about (as is the case, many times! )
And here's a pic to honor our Defense this year:

Can't wait to take a look at that. Up to that point...we had scored 6 points TOTAL in 6 games vs. Big Blue.BRF;500497 wrote:On another note: I found the article in the local paper from 1917 describing our first win against Wooster. Got an email from a former Red Rider the other day....Willie Geiser. Son is Kyle. Played in the early 70's. Beat Wooster his senior year (1972), shut them out actually, 13-0. It was the first shutout win over Wooster since 1945. It's happened 6 times since the '72 game. He lives in the Toledo area now and his son plays for a team out that way. Said they have no rival and their conference is trying to "create" rivals. Said it's neat, but nothing like Orr/Woo. -
thePITmanLoL. Some funny conversation.
