Week 2 - Browns @ Ratbirds

iclfan2That pick all on Kizer too. Gosh this team is terrible. Can't run, receivers that can't catch, and a qb that barely gets it to them anyway. Fun

Lol you can't be serious? There are going to be games like this. It sucks but it's expected. It's how Kizer and the team bounces back next week is what mattersSportsAndLady;1872145 wrote:Hogan needs to be the qb.

Hogan blows just as bad.
Kizer is fine but I don't think he's as good as some browns fans (you) make him out to be. His ceiling is an average qb. -

S&L must have been really impressed with Duke Johnsons one handed catch that wasn't too him bc Hogan couldn't get it to the actual receiver. Or maybe he just appreciates helium balls that float for 30 seconds. That's why you'd want Hogan in there. I personally don't want a qb that doesn't have the ability to get a pass down the field. I'll stick with kizers growing pains.Crimson streak;1872150 wrote:Lol you can't be serious? There are going to be games like this. It sucks but it's expected. It's the coaches fault!! Again. No ones saying that. Except you not understanding.SportsAndLady;1872154 wrote:It's the coaches fault!! Not kizers!!! -
iclfan2I'm sticking w Kizer for at least half the season (assuming he's healthy). Have to see what he has and if he progresses, otherwise our hopefully 2 high picks will need to be used for another qb (assuming we'd use both to move up unless we have 1 again).

I think his ceiling is above average qb but he's going to go through growing pains and bad decisions. All rookie qb's do it. Hell Peyton manning had how many interceptions his rookie year. It's part of learning. You also have to remember he's 21 years old. He made some good throws today and also had 3 terrible throws which led to picks. While it's going to suck ass watching these type of games and some of those throws they have to see if he has it to be a franchise guy. Hell if he isn't we are going to deal with the same thing next year with a rookie qb.SportsAndLady;1872152 wrote:I'm only semi serious.

Commander of AwesomeWe ran the ball 14 times. 14. That is inexcusable IMO.

like_thatKizer is a rookie and some of you guys are shocked he looked like a rookie on the road vs a good defense? You know what you do in that situation? Not runt he ball fucking 14 times.
I will give Kizer the whole season. If we don't see improvement, that's all we need to see. More reps = better. -

This is the thing that deserves the most talk. It's obvious that the defenses have caught up to the pass heavy rules the league created in 2010-11. Now you're seeing teams going back to needing a big time run game to keep that pass rush at bay since these D Linemen are so damn good nowadaysCommander of Awesome;1872170 wrote:We ran the ball 14 times. 14. kizer permanenteColeman broke his hand. Coulda done without that.

This and what COA said. 1) they can't/aren't running the effin' ball, which is a surefire way to put your QB in bad situations and 2)suck it up buttercup (Kizer). You need to LEARN to take snaps from under center. You're killing this team's running game by having to take your snaps from the gun 95% of the time. The RB has to run 5-6 yeard just to get positive yardage when he's taking a handoff from the QB in the gun (partially the coaches fault here too....MAKE him take snaps from center.like_that;1872178 wrote:Kizer is a rookie and some of you guys are shocked he looked like a rookie on the road vs a good defense? I knew there would be a (semi) kneejerk reaction to Kizer today. Yes, he looked like shit but he played a much better defense than he faced last week.
I said prior to this season that we'd be very frustrated because the defense would look good (weren't horrible today and I'm very pleased with the run D) and the offense wouldn't be able to put up enough points.
Painful, or not, gotta give Kizer this season. -

I agree with most of this, but what part of the defensive play did you feel was not horrible today? They were garbage this afternoon.BR1986FB;1872184 wrote:This and what COA said. 1) they can't/aren't running the effin' ball, which is a surefire way to put your QB in bad situations and 2)suck it up buttercup (Kizer). Granted, they still have no pass rush but I thought they did pretty well shutting down the run until garbage time. The offense is doing them no favors turning the ball over and giving the opposition a short field. That 37 yard/broken play run was a back breaker though.like_that;1872186 wrote:I agree with most of this, but what part of the defensive play did you feel was not horrible today? I will admit they made Ben Watson look like he was in his prime today, which should never happen.
This team has improved it's talent but they still function like the Bad News Bears. Just when you think they might string together something positive they pull out some ridiculous bone head play. -
SportsAndLadyThe defense willl look so much better with Myles garrett out there.
The offense was just bad. You can make excuses however you want, but it was still bad. Yes kizer is a rookie, but did Dak play a bad game in the entire regular season for the cowboys last season? That's a franchise qb. Not this guy.
Give me 2-14 and the #1 pick in a loaded QB draft class. -

I'm not going to shit on Dak, bc I think he's really good. But let's not pretend his situation is anything remotely close to kizers on the Browns. The cowboys can run at will with that line and Zeke at the helm. And the browns don't have a single person that would crack the cowboys lineup, let alone Jason Witten and Dez Bryant. That's an awful unfair comparison. -

A QB is either good or he isn't. Dak is good, Kizer isn't. Keep using your dumbass excuses though. They're super smart!! -

Yes, S&L, it's that easy. Good/bad. In fact, it's so simple I can't believe people ever miss on qb's. Even former all time great, HOF qb's. Thank you for simplifying it for everyone. You must have a truly remarkable mind.SportsAndLady;1872207 wrote:You're a fucking retard.

Back to the people living in a real, nuanced world... it absolutely matters when you have an all world line, rb, receivers, and System in place. -

You just don't understand, Crimson. You're either good or bad. It's simple. It doesn't matter what weapons you have. Dak would be 2-0 and looking great on this Browns team b/c he's good. Kizer would be 0-2 and throwing 4 int's on the cowboys b/c he sucks. Can't believe you don't understand that.Crimson streak;1872229 wrote:Holy hell going full retard on this one.
