The powerful 1960 Yankees outscored the Pirates by almost a 3 to 1 margin in that series if my memory serves me right.

Yes....believe it or not, sports that happened in the 60's are a part of history. Some of us acknowledge that fact and others don't want to be reminded.

So telling. Selective memory at it's finest folks.

    8 rings >> 6 rings.
Selective memory is at its finest here. Such as when you cite the 50s and 60s as proof of a "lifetime shitstomping" by Cleveland over Pittsburgh while ignoring the fact that Pittsburgh had a 32-21 advantage from 1970 through the old Browns last year (which means it really was a two decade shitstomping followed by 2.5 decades of Pittsburgh being the overall superior team despite the Browns having a number of better years in the 80s). And selective memory also is great in saying that the new Browns are a "separate franchise" that shouldn't count in the overall rivalry because of how they've let the Steelers take the overall lead in wins and losses.

If I don't own you in any more arguments on this thread today, it's because I'm celebrating the Pittsburgh Pirates 2009 ring. Sure, it's a minor league ring won by Lynchburg, but it's just as valid as the minor league rings Cleveland won before they got to the NFL.

Is there a ceremony or ritual associated with the return of the turrible towellette to the bottom drawer?
