Who Are the Steelers Playing This Weekend???
-
NonThe Browns fans would be holding a parade after a 9-7 year.
-
Automatiklol....WHAT RIVALRY? A rivalry consists of two teams that can beat each other on a regular basis. Sorry to burst your bubble but there is no Cleveland/Pittsburgh rivalry. You have been replaced with Baltimore.
-
Strapping Young LadI never realized how sensitive Stiller fans were. I guess they keep their pigtails tucked under the hardhats. Who knew??? Do you guys have little pink panties under those overalls???
If we all held hands would that make you guys happy??? Poor little Stiller fans..... -
GoChiefs
You're correct..it tells me we are both going to be sitting at home during the first round.Non wrote: The Steelers had an awful year and they still finished with a winning record at 9-7.
The Browns finished hot with four wins, but only could muster a 5-11.
That tells a lot about the state of the two franchises. -
AutomatikSensitive? I'm laughing at you. I find it funny when Pittsburgh slips up all the trolls come out from under their bridges. The Pittsburgh Steeler franchise is one of the most successful and well ran organizations in all of sports. People love to hate them and I love to laugh at them.
Get your shots in now YOUNG Lad, I'll emphasize young, because the opportunity to do so is few and far between. -

I think you're a bit sensitive as you sit and think about the second coming of the Tarvaris Jackson era in Minnesota.Strapping Young Lad wrote: I never realized how sensitive Stiller fans were. Just like when people like Carmen Policy and Butch Davis were going to ride in save the day...Al Capone wrote: The Brown fans on here knocking the Steelers are a joke. The nfl is setup so all the teams should be equal, through draft picks and easier schedules. The fact that Cleveland or any other team has never won a superbowl none the less never been to one is a complete joke.
And dont tell me about the titles they won back in the 40s 50s when they had 6 teams. Bottom line is the Brown organization is a joke. Now you give Holmgren the keys to the clunker. You're all on here claiming he walks on water and can cure all the worlds problems. What the hell has Holmgren ever done? Next season will be another typical Brown season. 4-12 -

Riiiiiiight. Keep tellin' yourself that. You know as a Steelers fan..even to this day..you enjoy a win over the Browns more than you do the Ravens.Automatik wrote: lol....WHAT RIVALRY? No..not really. He didn't do anything in Seattle when he had the power..so why would he now? It wasn't until he was just strictly the coach that the Seahawks started seeing success. Am I hopeful? Of course. Would I be shocked if he fails? Not at all.Al Capone wrote: You're all on here claiming he walks on water and can cure all the worlds problems. What the hell has Holmgren ever done? Nothing wrong with that at all.killer_ewok wrote: They're about equal for me. -
AutomatikYou are 100% wrong, but keep trying to act like you know what ever Steeler fan feels after a W over Cleveland. I'm seriously chuckling right now. You honestly believe that Pittsburgh fans get more excited after a win over Cleveland than Baltimore?! Are you nuts??
Beating the Browns is just that....beating the Browns...big deal...woohoo! We just beat a pathetic team AGAIN. The Baltimore games are hard hitting defensive battles. I'd be more than happy if Cleveland could finally get their organization together to bring back the Pitts/Cleveland rivalry to what it once was. Right now...its nonexistent. -
GoChiefsWell..considering I'm married to a Steelers fan..and I see the huddle after the Cleveland games and after the Baltimore games..and I'm friends with a couple Steeler fans..yeah...I can say that qualifies me to know what the Steeler fans are like after a game against Cleveland vs a game against Baltimore. Keep e-chuckling. We all know you're full of it to say you don't enjoy it. How'd that 'beat a pathetic team AGAIN' work out for ya last game? Not so good huh?
-
AutomatikOf course I enjoy it....just not as much as beating Baltimore. I grew tired of laughing at Cleveland's misfortunes...it got old.
And as for that last win....you all know about the blind squirrel. It was bound to happen sooner or later. -
wes_mantoothI usually laugh when people say there isn't a Cleveland/Pittsburgh rivalry. It is still there, one team is usually down and the other is up.....it happened in the 60's, 70's, 80's and so on. Most of my family is Pittsburgh fans.....right now, they expect to beat Cleveland, but it is still a rivalry. Just like in the 80's when the Steelers sucked.....we expected to beat them, but it was still a rivalry.
-
GoChiefsThat's just something else that some Steeler fans say when they TRY to 'get under our skin'. As if it's supposed to disappoint us or something. Especially when we still know better. Lol

FootwedgeBrowns record against Pittsburgh in the 50's and 60's.....31 up and 9 down. Pretty telling indeed. By my math...that's a .770 winning percentage. As a kid, I felt sorry for Pittsburgh. I really did. They were far worse than the new Browns...the laughing stock of pro football.

The real Browns franchise held a huge overall edge over Pittsburgh in the series. The new Browns are a separate franchise....and have no bearing on the overall lifetime shitstomping Cleveland laid on the Steelers.
8 championships>>>>than 6 championships. -

The real Browns franchise??? I thought the "tradition and colors" remained in Cleveland? You're just grasping for straws with all this talk about the overall record in the rivalry being skewed. Whatever you can twist so that it makes your Browns look better.
That's cute how you talk about the Browns record vs. the Steelers in the 50's and 60's. Guess what? Notre Dame was batting a 1.000 vs. Ohio State with a 2-0 head-to-head record.....back in the 30's. I guess I should go on the college football board and brag about that. LOL -
Heretic
BAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!! If they're so "separate", then how come they have the name nickname and all the history attached to the Browns in their possession? When Houston got a new team, they didn't get the Oilers again with all the Oiler history...they got a brand new one with no history. Sounds like someone's just trying to make excuses for how their new team has sucked from day one and the lifetime series is in Pittsburgh's favor due to essentially controlling it since, not 1999, but the 70s.Footwedge wrote: Browns record against Pittsburgh in the 50's and 60's.....31 up and 9 down. Which means that by "lifetime shitstomping", I'm guessing you only meant the 50s and 60s. Since from 1970 until the Browns left, it was 32-21 in Pittsburgh's favor. Or did life end after 1969?

Al CaponeAccording to footwedge, since the Pirates beat the Yankees in the 1960 series, we should feel sorry for the Yankees because the Pirates owned them. LOL.

The powerful 1960 Yankees outscored the Pirates by almost a 3 to 1 margin in that series if my memory serves me right.Al Capone wrote: According to footwedge, since the Pirates beat the Yankees in the 1960 series, we should feel sorry for the Yankees because the Pirates owned them. LOL.
Yes....believe it or not, sports that happened in the 60's are a part of history. Some of us acknowledge that fact and others don't want to be reminded.
So telling. Selective memory at it's finest folks.

So wait, are you telling me that they won't laugh me off a thread on the college football forum if I start bragging about Notre Dame's victories over Ohio State in the 30's? The 60's are still relevant so why not the 30's, right?Footwedge wrote:

Also, starting to think that footwedge is one of the most delusional Browns fans on here. Kudos to Browns fans like GoChiefs who don't beat their chest about All-American Football Conference championships. God love the AAFC.....an 8 team league with teams like the Miami Seahawks. Were the California Raisins a team in the AAFC too? -
