This.Ironman92;1839055 wrote:Pretty much same era but Brees had over 20,000 yards passing and 125 TD passes before Rodgers started a game.
Peyton played a decade before Rodgers started. You don't say they were same era. Brees I just associate with Brady and Peyton. Brady was 2000 and Brees 2001. Sorry you disagree. -

Congrats. He played in a watered down league back in the 50's when competition was absolute shit. He wouldn't even make a D1 college team much less be one of the best QBs of all time in the NFL.Ironman92;1839053 wrote:Otto played for about a decade and won about every game those years. His first 3-5 years was the AAFC which had about 7 teams in the entire league. The last 4-6 years was NFL which had 12 most of the 50's I believe.
Pretty sure some of his championships they defeated the New York Yankees lol.
Otto = Top 26
Hell, I could have played QB in the NFL in the 1950's. Sorry for not knowing who a QB was that played in the AAFC. -

I only know the top 50 players at each position in the NFL. So yes, I don't know a lot of players.SportsAndLady;1839042 wrote:No one knows who Otto graham is? Lol sleeper is a fucking moron. -
justincredibleThe Jets informed Revis that he will be released. It's a shame how far he's fallen, he was absolute dog shit this season.

He's probably the best corner of all time, at his peak. Crazy how corners just deteriorate like that almost overnight.justincredible;1839200 wrote:The Jets informed Revis that he will be released. It's a shame how far he's fallen, he was absolute dog shit this season. -

Hard to say if he's the best corner of all time. Need to consult the 1950's AAFC experts to find out if there's any players no one knows using subjective stats.SportsAndLady;1839202 wrote:He's probably the best corner of all time, at his peak. like_thatSleeper is feeling insecure, because his lack of NFL knowledge was once again exposed. :RpS_lol:

sleeperYes and Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT because he played in a league with a bunch of white guys. ABA for the win!

I think you're missing the entire point.sleeper;1839211 wrote:Yes and Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT because he played in a league with a bunch of white guys. ABA for the win!

You're making fun of Otto Grahams ranking, the rest of us are making fun of you for not even knowing who he is. -

IF sleeper ever has a kid, I can't wait for his kid to use the same flawed logic about LBJ on him. Could probably see the stream pouring out of Sleeper's little head.like_that;1839214 wrote:I think you're missing the entire point.

Why would I know who he is? I can't even tell you the backup QB for the Chargers much less a QB from the 1950's who played in the AFAFFC or whatever. If he's really that good, you'd think he'd be common knowledge but he clearly is not.like_that;1839214 wrote:I think you're missing the entire point.

Do you think 100 years from now people will remember MJ? Always. He's one of the best. No one gives a flying fuck about Otto Graham. -

LBJ is already the best basketball player ever. I'd be happy to watch someone take his crown especially if that someone plays for the Cavs. -

I mean, he's in the Hall of Fame and all, but yeah...no one knows or cares about him.sleeper;1839235 wrote:Why would I know who he is? sleeperI looked up Otto Graham and he's just what I thought. 6'1 196lb white guy QB winning championships against the New York Yankees in the 1940's. 23,000 career passing yards, 55% completion rate. LOL.
Yes, absolutely GOAT QB, 100x better than Tom Brady.
You can't make this stuff up! -
sleeperI'd take him over Johnny Manziel though.

Yeah we're talking about a top 3 QB of all time that played for a franchise you claim to be a fan of. The fact that you do not know who he is shows how irrelevant your NFL knowledge is, not how irrelevant of a player Otto Graham was. You doing to tell me Jim Brown, Motley, and Lou Groza were bums as well?sleeper;1839235 wrote:Why would I know who he is? What team would he play for now? And by team I mean what CFL team because this guy has no business being in the NFL.Heretic;1839240 wrote:I mean, he's in the Hall of Fame and all, but yeah...no one knows or cares about him. -

10 yrs in the league, 10 championship games. Nice cherry picking! Guess Marino wasn't any good either bc guys in the league are hitting 5k passing every yr now! Just terrible logical thinking skills on display.sleeper;1839242 wrote:I looked up Otto Graham and he's just what I thought. 6'1 196lb white guy QB winning championships against the New York Yankees in the 1940's. 23,000 career passing yards, 55% completion rate. The NFL when these players played was an absolute joke. They were good for their times but they have no business being labeled "GOAT" anything especially when compared to reality.Commander of Awesome;1839245 wrote:Yeah we're talking about a top 3 QB of all time that played for a franchise you claim to be a fan of. Let me guess, you think Babe Ruth getting drunk and smoke cigarettes before games would fly into today's era? He wouldn't even make Single A. -

Sorry for telling the truth about your hero. Maybe go outside and get some perspective about reality.Commander of Awesome;1839247 wrote:10 yrs in the league, 10 championship games. Using this logic, I think we should pontificate future NBA stars stats/body from 2500 AD to make sure Sleeper's Great Great great great great great great grand son can argue that LBJ wouldn't make a DII college Basket Ball roster. Just an epic fail meltdown happening before our eyes.sleeper;1839248 wrote:The NFL when these players played was an absolute joke. Well, when you consider minor details such as that if Graham was around now, he'd have access to the same weight training programs, nutritional programs, excellent year-round facilities, style of offensive coaching and so on that the athletes of today have, your "look at his size and peripherals and tell me how that'd fly today?" argument automatically loses all validity.sleeper;1839246 wrote:What team would he play for now? I don't think you are smart enough to understand saturation points. The NBA/NFL have reached a saturation point with the best of the best athletes, from birth to draft day are being groomed with the best technology that simply didn't exist in the 1950's. Barring some massive improvement in technology, we will unlikely see a more competitive professional sports market than we have now. LBJ will be tough to top even 500 years from now.Commander of Awesome;1839250 wrote:Using this logic, I think we should pontificate future NBA stars stats/body from 2500 AD to make sure Sleeper's Great Great great great great great great grand son can argue that LBJ wouldn't make a DII college Basket Ball roster.
