    I'd go top 10.

In other news, Vikings decline $17 million option on AD.

Easily top 3. I'd only put Brady and Peyton ahead of him. No question he's a top 5 QB all-time.
For as much emphasis as you put on winning, I'm surprised by your answer.

He won a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl MVP. That on top of his stats as a QB, he's easily the 3rd best QB ever.

Half his 15 seasons he's been .500 or worse.

I'd put him around 8-10'ish all time qbs.

Because his teams have been garbage.

I'm not here to argue, just curious what everyone's thoughts were on that.

Friend of mine is a big Purdue guy and is dead set on him being top 5 QB all time. I was thinking more like top 10 but it's for sure been an interesting debate.

    1. Otto
    2. Brady
    3. Peyton
    4. Farve
    5. Marino
    6. Rodgers
    7. Elway
    8. Montana
    9. Unitas
    10. Tarkerton
    11. Steve Young

11 players I thought of off the top of my head that'd I'd have above Brees.

Drew Brees isn't a top 3 QB of all-time. C'mon. He's not even top 3 in the 2000's. Manning, Brady and Rodgers are all better.
  • Azubuike24
At the same time, Brees is basically Marino, but won a ring.
  • Laley23
Throw stats out, because eras and all. He is 3rd best in this era behind Brady/Peyton. Hard to make a case for top 5 at that point.

    Elway
    Montana
    Marino
    Favre
    Tarkenton
    Graham
    Unitas

Those guys were all at the top of their eras. I'd go top 10, but not not 5. If I went into really deep digging, he may even fall just outside the top 10.
  • Azubuike24
Brees over Rodgers? I just can't see how. Unless you penalize Rodgers because he hasn't played as long. Rodgers with a career 104.1 rating, which is ridiculous, 297 career TD and 72 INT. Brees is at 96.3 with 465 TD and 230 INT.

To me Brees is in the pack of Marino, Fouts and Moon...somewhere in the top 10 but not top 5

    1. Brady
    2. Elway
    3. Manning
    4. Montana
    5. Favre
    6. Steve Young

Rodgers jumping into the top 10 as his career continues on.

Looks like Brees is as high as #8 for me but not lower than 10.

Maybe wrong, but I put Rodgers in the era after those 3. Rodgers will end up ahead of Brees no doubt, but not yet. My list after that was just guys before him that may or may not be ahead of him.

    So did Trent Dilfer.

I'd have Brees somewhere in the 7-10 range.

Ah, so throw out all the objective stats and be subjective.

    Close it up boys.

Sleeper the NFL/Browns "fan" ladies and gentlemen. Brees is a HOF QB, but he does not sniff the top 5, let alone top 3.

    Idiot post of the week

Rodgers and Brees will both probably end up playing in the league during a 15-year span together. How are they not in the same era?
  • Ironman92
Otto played for about a decade and won about every game those years. His first 3-5 years was the AAFC which had about 7 teams in the entire league. The last 4-6 years was NFL which had 12 most of the 50's I believe.

Pretty sure some of his championships they defeated the New York Yankees lol.

    Otto = Top 26

Pretty much same era but Brees had over 20,000 yards passing and 125 TD passes before Rodgers started a game.
