Yeah, I only clicked on a story because of how the headline hinted that no one actually knows what was wrong with Kerr, health-wise, which is kind of weird. Then I saw that Cueball was in charge and started laughing. Kind of fun to imagine him leading GS to a slew of 90-84 games as their offense completely bogs down. Likely won't happen, but it's fun to imagine!

Thunder seemingly playing very well but only up 4 points. Houston always seems in the games when it feels like they should be down 15.

Regardless it'll come down to the final minutes of the 4th.

RW trip double at half, feels like they should be up a lot more than 4 though.

Not watching but following box scores a bit....he showing signs of being tired beyond his poor 2nd half shooting so far?

James Harden just got the three cheapest FTs in basketball history. Came around a screen, hooked the defender's arm and threw it up in the air to mimic a foul.

Absolute horse shit and completely gutless basketball.
  • friendfromlowry
This game is borderline unwatchable. Harden and Westbrook throw up their hands every time they're touched looking for a foul. Andre Roberson sucks at free throws. Kanter all around sucks.
  • friendfromlowry
If you can, go back and watch Westbrook's defense on the Rockets possession that starts at 1:06. Ultimate DGAF mode.
  • Ironman92
Nene 12/12 FG....who the hell was guarding him?

Harden struggled shooting and Rockets get 113.

    Harden 16/8/7/7

Fell asleep in the4th quarter, not at all surprised Houston won.

Respect for Westbrook's post-game comments. Put the reporter in his place.

This guy's a baby. Boohoo he said "fuck you" to you. Get over it Beverley.
That is something you see in the black community.
"I'm a grown man, I've got children!" WTF does that have to do with anything?

Won't his complaining only make it worse?

Regardless, part of making $10,000,000 a year (or whatever he makes) is letting that shit fly. Piss on the fan that spent 2 months salary for his seat just to watch his team not be able to win.

Wasn't the fan the son of the Thunder owner? If so, hardly "just a fan." That's a fan that can say whatever he wants and no rules apply to him from a security standpoint as they would to a normal dude in the crowd.

Help me here....watching SNB and bottom line showed (I know this isn't a tell all stat but it's a big enough number to tell something) Thunder is +3 when RW is on the court this series and -40 when he isn't on the court. Couple things, RW playing about 38 min per game this series so sitting 10 min per and they are -40 in the -40 he hasn't been on court but that doesn't tell the whole story. In this series Houston has owned the 4th quarters when RW has been in and surely is -15 or so in that time. So WTF are they doing on offense when he isn't in? And a lot I assume Harden wasn't in for Houston.

I don't think OKC is doing much differently at any point Russ does what Russ does.....my question out of this tl;dr is What are the Rockets doing differently when Harden is out that is making them suck so bad against the Westbrookless Thunder and what are they doing differently in the 4th from the rest of the game?

    Edit after research:

OKC -13 in 4th qtr this series without RW (10 min) and -28 in 4th this series with RW

With RW in first 3 quarters +31
Without RW in first 3 qtrs -12 (30 min)

I guess Houston better give more fucks to being very good in quarters 1-3 in the next or future rounds...no one else going to be a unable to close out/play well late than OKC.

Russ, teammates and Donavan need to do something to adjust....they are getting pummeled in most facets in the 4th. Probably too late this year.

Yeah the fan was the son of a minority owner. But still, if you're getting upset if a fan yells "fuck you" to you, you need to grow some thicker skin.

Agree. However, what he actually said wasn't really unreasonable. It's not like he was going Ron Artest on the guy. I supposed he could've just ignored it, but not everyone is wired that way.

Harden is my least favorite player to watch. HANDS DOWN

His response was fine. But he didn't put anyone in their place. That question is 100% acceptable and I'd go so far as to say needed. RW said his piece which was fine, childish when he blew him off the next few times not letting Adams answer.

Now Gordon Hayward out with illness.

Didn't realize Houston went hack a Shaq on Roberson. With 4:11 remaining they fouled him on 4 consecutive possessions and he only made 2/8. He was 2/12 for the game.

Dude shoots 42% for season. This continues to boggle my mind. Would 75% of the people in the stands have done better than 2/12? I believe a 45 year old woman in the stands that literally hadn't touched a ball in 30 years would at least match his 2/12

Mike and Mike saying if you called it an intentional foul it would end it....but I say screw that. Don't reward a professional player for not being able to execute on of the easiest things in the game.

I hate when people QQ about this. You get paid millions to play bball. You should be able to make your FTs and work on making them. The opposing team is literally daring you to gain 2 free points.

The beginning of it sounded really good for Westbrook, as it went on it just turned into a begrudging pissing contest. He should've let Adams answer the question. The reporter (doing his job) sounded very entitled so maybe that particular guy is always asking those type questions.

But from what little I know....the question was fair and RW said the right things as well. The monster probably should've answered the question.
