friendfromlowryThought for sure OKC was going to choke that one away.

Multiple missed free throws, Adams bailed him out on the tip in, grant with a clutch shot on the drive.Ironman92;1849330 wrote:How so?
Russ wasn't good (again) in the 4th. -
friendfromlowryUnderstand the logic, but nothing more anticlimatic than when a team is down by three gets fouled to prevent the three-point shot.

Ironman92Blake Griffin out the rest of the playoffs. That's tough.

His 3/6 on ft was not good enough in the 4th.SportsAndLady;1849337 wrote:Multiple missed free throws, Adams bailed him out on the tip in, grant with a clutch shot on the drive.

Grant made a great finish on his drive and Adams had a big tip in. Not seeing the bail out though. -

Those two shots are waht won that game for OKC lol Westbrook wasn't good in the 4th and his teammates bailed him out. It's not a bad thing, it's just funny taht people say Westbrook's teammates are soooo bad, yet they came up big in the 4th last night and no one wants to admit that.Ironman92;1849352 wrote:His 3/6 on ft was not good enough in the 4th.

Those two plays were big and timely.
Grant was the worst +/- on the team at -7
Adams was 11/8 for the season and went for 4 points and 6 rebounds last night.
Those two needed to step up considering what they typically do and fortunately they did.
Westbrook went 3/6 ft in the 4th and needed to go 5/6 ft
OKC got a must have win and need to win game 4 to have a prayer.
In other news....I've not been impressed with Billy Donovan in the NBA -

lol I don't care about their +/- for the game. I wasnt talking about the game I was talking about the 4th quarter, specifically the last 4 min.Ironman92;1849356 wrote:I just admitted it.

And of course you're not happy with billy Donovan lol any other excuses you wanna make for Westbrook? -

RW wasn't very good the last 4 min. His teammates made two big plays late to ensure a win.
Adams hadn't done anything all damn game but he gets a timely tip in and bails out Westbrook?
You want me to start a separate thread on Donovan or something? That comment was a side comment looking for other's opinions...mulva/coa, guys that really keep a good eye on the NBA. I haven't been impressed with him this year at all....and not one bit of anything about that is any excuse whatsoever for RW going 4/18 in one 4th qtr or missing 2 of last 4 big ft late in this 4th. -
Laley23Westbrook is incredible. But it is impossible to play with someone who has the ball that much. Impossible to win that way and impossible to coach that system.

Agree. I see it like coaching Iverson. They are very very similar. I don't feel NBA coaches are as important as NFL or even MLB. What is Donovan's strategy? We all know Westbrook can win it all doing what he's doing. Larry Brown was a pretty damn good coach and helped Iverson to the finals.Laley23;1849371 wrote:Westbrook is incredible. NBA is tough on coaches. Hard to look like a really good coach. Donovan was a really good college coach. Pops is great and Belichick like...but who else? Kerr? He got out coached by Lue and Walton went like 23-1 with them last year. Obviously is always the players but even more in the NBA.
I like Thibs but he never won anything but his emphasis on defense was obvious. -

Here how about this, Russ was not good again in the 4th quarter and the Thunder would have lost that game if not for a couple clutch baskets by Russ's teammates. If they don't make those two plays, thunder lose another 4th quarter lead.Ironman92;1849366 wrote:God you are close to the worst on here sometimes.

He is easily the best actor in the league. Unfortunately, it gets him a ton of foul shots.
Making any contact with him whatsoever outside the arc should never ever happen. He worked a huge one last night when he had no thought of shooting at all, but worked him 3 big points at a huge moment late in the 4th.
I despise how often he does it but I lay some blame on the league and officials that allow it and give it to him so much it's worthwhile for him to keep doing. -
friendfromlowryMilwaukee misses out on a golden opportunity to go up 3-1 in the series. Now tied at two heading back to Toronto. Antetokounmpo with a miserable game.
-
friendfromlowryKawhi Leonard. God damn.
-
friendfromlowryMemphis and San Antonio with perhaps the best game of the playoffs so far that didn't include Lebron. Kawhi and Conley were amazing.

Ironman92Figures, the one time I don't stay up...I miss a great game

HereticSeems that Steve Kerr is out indefinitely with an undisclosed illness. Meaning Mike LOL Brown is the de facto head coach for GS. That can't help.

Damn, that didn't even cross my mind when when I saw Kerr was out lol. Luckily for Mr. Potato he as playoff experience and that team can run itself.Heretic;1849444 wrote:Seems that Steve Kerr is out indefinitely with an undisclosed illness.
