We're in a god damn NBA finals and we're talking about getting Carmelo Anthony in the offseason. SMH
We can still win this series. Not sure why everyone is overreacting and talking about next year and blowing the team up.
FWIW, I DO NOT want Carmelo Anthony on this team. I don't want him on a minimum and I certainly don't want to trade anything for him. -

Easy Alice, I didn't know us discussing things that deal with the Cavs was going to jinx them. Maybe you're right, maybe LeBron is reading this and getting bummed out over our discussions and will play bad tonight. Relax man.SportsAndLady;1857083 wrote:Jesus Christ what the hell are we talking about?

Plus I prefaced the last line of my paragraph with "Not to put the cart before the horse" and then went on to say what Broussard said. Didn't say the series was "over", even though I think they're getting swept, especially if Lue sticks with his game plan. Sooooo, I guess we may be holding off talking about this until Friday night?Benny The Jet;1857116 wrote:Easy Alice, I didn't know us discussing things that deal with the Cavs was going to jinx them. My point is were hours away from game 3 of the NBA finals and you guys are talking about Kevin love being the odd man out, melo and George joining the cavs, and what off-season moves we need to make to compete with the warriors.
Just retarded talk. -
AutomatikAs they are right now, I don't think there is a move Cleveland can make to make them better than GS. They simply have too much firepower.
It would be better to hope they get blown up somewhat....at least Klay gets out.
I just hope Cleveland wins tonight and somewhat makes it a series. I'm already dreading the impeding Warriors suckfest. -

Which, if true, sucks for the league. If GS is head & shoulders above everyone else, I think it will hurt viewership...unless you're a Warriors fan.Automatik;1857128 wrote:As they are right now, I don't think there is a move Cleveland can make to make them better than GS. Ironically enough, Dan Patrick was just discussing this same topic, mentioning the same players...must be contagious.SportsAndLady;1857126 wrote:

Hopefully all of this "next season" talk gets back to the players and it motivates them to step up. If they don't, even the great LBJ won't be able to save them against this crew.vball10set;1857152 wrote:Ironically enough, Dan Patrick was just discussing this same topic with the same players...must be contagious. -
Ironman92I hate sports talk anymore.
Cavs in NBA Finals and looking to next season? Who actually gives a shit? If we trade LeBron and Love how many lottery draft picks can we stockpile.
Reds have Zack Cozart having an MVP like first 1/3 of the season and Reds GM wannabe fans salivating at trading him while Reds are 2 games back.
I just hate the looking ahead when good shit is going on now. -

Remember last year when right before game 3 it was Love for Melo.vball10set;1857152 wrote:Ironically enough, Dan Patrick was just discussing this same topic, mentioning the same players...must be contagious. -

And then the cavs won the NBA championship and everyone shut the hell up. Be great if that happened again.superman;1857227 wrote:Remember last year when right before game 3 it was Love for Melo. -
Laley23I said earlier I didn't see a way for Cavs to matchup and win, but I wasn't writing them off completely.
Well, thinking about it a lot the last few days, I don't see another solution other than Shump replacing JR in lineup and minutes played, matching up on Durant. This allows Bron to do more of what he did last year in helping and clogging the lane on Curry and Thompson. Let Draymond shoot anywhere besides the top of key. Love has to play the same minutes as LeBron basically, because they can't rebound without him. Tristan, if he doesn't show up on glass, is worthless. If that happens again, Frye needs to play to spread the floor. Biggest key though is Shump. He won't stop Durant, but even slowing him down and making him shoot the ball is a huge bonus and would give the Cavs a chance in the last few minutes.
On offense, I think run when opportunity is there, but slow it down most chances. Limit GSW possessions and frustrate them when an 0/4 spell means they don't score for 2.5 minutes. The pick and roll isn't working, so Kyrie going 1-1 versus anyone not Klay and LeBron posting anyone not Green (or Iggy) should get good shots most of the night. If they get down, go with shooters and LeBron. Let LeBron drive and kick. -

SportsAndLadyLets get it

wildcats20Think they get a W tonight.

Classyposter58Amazing what happens to the offense when you get stops and turnovers. Cleveland looks so much better
-
like_thatCleveland looks a lot better, making all their shots, and still only up 4.
-
sleeperJR Smith hitting shots is crucial for the Cavs. Him hitting shots opens up the floor for what the Cavs want to do.
I also like them being more physical on Durant especially. This is what the Spurs were doing before Kawhi went down; Durant doesn't like to bang bodies. -
SportsAndLadyAh, great!
