Are you kidding? Unbelievable. Zero reason.

Looks like a for sure 2 man race for the Open Championship between Stenson and Mickelson

So I'll guess something unpredictable happens. If not hopefully Stenson wins.
  • Ironman92
Well, I was wrong. Go Henrick
  • wildcats20
    Crazy good golf being played.
  • SportsAndLady
Yeah this is fun. These guys are killing this course.
  • Ironman92
Wow! What a fucking putt. Too bad he missed on 17.

That was some damn impressive golf. Phil didn't lose.
  • wildcats20
Phil played a flawless round of golf. And got best by 2. That's how good Stenson was today.

DJ, Stenson...Sergio at the PGA? Best to never win a Major are dropping like flies this year. 2 of the 3 have done it, Sergio is now the unquestionable best to never win.

As for this tournament, crazy how hard the course played for almost the entire field...except for these 2. They just murdered the course. Henrik was unbelievable today.

Down to Sergio and Westy, IMO.

Kuch, Stricker, and maybe a few others. But they are a step below currently.

There was an 11 stroke gap between 2nd and 3rd place. That is amazing.

Jim Furyk just put up the first 58 ever on the PGA tour. He was -11 on the first 12 holes.

Was the tournament at Franklin Valley?

    Just a couple weeks after a Web.com guy shot a 58.

Arnold Palmer has passed away. Sad, sad news.
  • Ironman92
Damnit what a horrible day for great sports figures.

    RIP Arnie

Damn. My grandpa was named Arnie and Palmer was the one celebrity he always seemed to idolize before he passed away a few years ago. I'm sure it had a little to do with his name, but by all accounts he was a pretty great humanitarian in addition to his golfing. Will miss him.
  • cat_lover
He was 87. He lived a full life and by most accounts he was a great humanitarian as well as one of the greatest golfers ever.
  • Spock
I got to follow Arnie for a round. It was cool
  • 4cards
...He was the first pro golfer that I followed as a kid. I will drink an Arnold Palmer in his memory today. I found this picture of Arnold's work shop of golf clubs & a jersey from the Pirates who honored him on his 80th birthday.

    RIP Arnie!

Ryder Cup off to an amazing start for the Americans. 4-0 opening session.

    Afternoon about to get underway.
  • Laley23
Was looking like 2.5-1.5 and then Mickelson/Fowler and Z. Johnson/Walker hit the gas. Just a fantastic last few holes for those groups.

    D. Johnson/Kuch just dominated from the first hole.

Speith/Reed is a nice combo. Hope they are back out this afternoon and tomorrow for one of the rounds.
  • wildcats20
    Afternoon four balls...

  • wildcats20
There is no way you separate Speith and Reed. They play all 4 together, in my mind.

I probably agree. But damn, that's a lot of golf lol.

My memory may be fading, is it common for a player (or team) to play in all 5 rounds??
